‘Don’t Take Jews, Christians’ As Allies, Turkish Ad Warns

Historian Daniel Pipes recently shared a photo of what appears to be a biased ad targeting Jews and Christians that is circulating within the city of Konya in Turkey on bus stations. The ad warns the public not to take “Jews and Christians as allies,” according to a verse in the Koran 5:51. The city of Konya is currently dominated by a major source of political power led by Turkey’s President Recep Erdogan, the Justice and Development Party (AKP).

Pipes stated that Turkey is well on its way to becoming a second Islamic state similar to Iran, wondering, “when will the world awaken to the danger.”

The municipal government in Konya, Turkey’s most #Islamist city, dominated by the AKP, posted billboards quoting Koran 5:51: “Do not take Jews & Christians as allies. … God does not guide wrongdoers.”
