The Betrayal Of The Kurds
Sarah N. Stern, who is the Founder and President of the Endowment for Middle East Truth, EMET, shares her perspective on the Middle East situation involving Syria, the Kurds, Turkey, and the decision made by President Trump.
As both an American and a Jew, Stern’s questioned throughout her life how the world could have turned their backs on the Jews during World War II. She states her sense of feeling horrified, believing the United States turned their backs on those who have been called friends and allies, the Kurds.
There now seems to be an almost unredeemable black mark on American foreign policy with the American forces told to withdraw from northern Syria. She estimates there are over 11,000 Kurdish graves filled with those who made the ultimate sacrifice while fighting side-by-side with the U.S. against ISIS.
