God Gave Me The Key To 2023

Lance: Hey this is Lance Wallnau with a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. Greeting for every one of you. Normally we don’t get to show this part of our set, but the team did such a beautiful job. I wanted to talk to you right from this year tree and say this. Our broadcast today is about hearing the voice that will make this year victorious for you. I don’t care what goes on in the world outside. If you’re in the middle of revival, if you’re in the middle of visitation, if you’re where the angels are showing up, if you’re seeing and hearing God, you’re in the best days of your life. And we got to start redefining our happiness based upon being in the middle of where God‘s at and not having everything go the way we want in the world around us. Because in the world you’re going to have tribulation, but in Jesus you’re going to have supernatural peace.

Lance: Yeah, what should be behind me? Now, you’ll notice someone sitting next to Mercedes.For a period of time, we all got to know Jonathan. Jonathan was a part of our show. He even had his Jonathan hat on but Jonathan, we encouraged to go to law school so that he could protect all of us in the future. So, Jonathan is at law school. Melody is now in Jonathan’s chair and now Melody has proven to be the Jonathan we need. So, every David needs a Jonathan and we’ve got our Jonathan Melody. In my heart there is a Melody. You guys remember that song? There is a Melody, there is a Melody in my heart. There is a Melody, there is a Melody in of love. Is that a Christian’s hymn?

Mercedes: I don’t know, but what I think is hilarious as far as long as I’ve known both Melody and you. Since the first time I met Melody when she was standing on in your kitchen on the counter doing odds and ends around the house for Annabelle, anytime you walk through the room, you sing that song. If Melody’s around, it’s like a trigger and you will sing that song and I always look at Melody and I’m like, has he sung it yet?

Lance: And I always think it’s the first time I’ve done it. But Melody, this can’t be the first time you’ve heard that song.

Melody: My mom sang that to me when I was a baby so it kind of takes me back.

Mercedes: Wow.

Melody: It was on the birth announcement.

Mercedes: What?

Melody: Yeah.

Mercedes: Wow. There’s like something prophetic about that then, Melody.

Lance: That is so sweet.

Melody: It’s in my heart.

Lance: It’s in my heart. There is a Melody. Now, Melody, tell the folks out there what it is that you do because I was trying to give you job functions that Mercedes refused to let you have a minute ago. I was at a pre-programmed fight over. I want Melody to be able to get news from you guys to tell me what’s going on out there and what you want me to talk about and what questions you have and what you like. Lance: Was it executive assistant? Well, is this like one of those millennial things you were reading me yesterday about words I can’t use anymore?

Mercedes: No, so I think personal assistant is more like we’ll go get your laundry and get you coffee.

Lance: Jonathan never got my laundry.

Mercedes: Exactly. I think executive assistants like I handle your schedule. I’m approving things. Those types of things. The things that Melody does.

Melody: Yes. Basically, I would say yeah, my role is mostly administrative as far as taking care of Lance’s calendar. If people want to book in for an event. I do handle that communication. I also send product to events ahead of time. I worn a lot of hats here, so I also.

Lance: Have done laundry and gotten the coffee.

Mercedes: That’s a long time ago.

Lance: Definitely.

Mercedes: But she also does all of our graphic emails that go out like anytime we do a sale. And then also she coordinates with you to get out our weekly emails.

Lance: Oh, and that’s there you go. Thank you for that. Ladies and gentlemen, it’s a very important point. We’re doing the show today on the word of the Lord for this particular week and season. Melody scours my blogs. I used to write. I think I wrote, I got lazy; I think when video came out because video had more views than blogs. So, I was doing more videos but then what happened was I stopped writing. And my writing forced me to be a little bit more devotionally focused and spiritually targeted. And I think that in a sense you lose some of that discipline when you’re doing visual and verbal media because it doesn’t have to be as precise. But writing does.So, Melody picks the best that she thinks is in the blog world that I’ve done from years ago, but because they’re so evergreen. I mean my gosh we’re reading a book that New Testament is 2000 years old and it speaks like it’s we’re trying to figure out, its predictions for this year. So, it’s always relevant if the spirit of God is in it. But you have, I’ll tell you what happened. It was come on. It was Gideon.

Mercedes: Rhonda.

Lance: Huh? Rhonda Lap.

Mercedes: Yeah, Gideon Rhonda.

Lance: So, Rhonda sends me a text and she goes, that was probably one of the best words you’ve ever given on a subject and I go, of course, I’m thinking broadcast. I go, ‘Which one?’ And she sends me an email that Melody had basically pulled out of the archives and refined and sent. So,she said, this is really been for me the word of the Lord. It’s more than anything else you’ve done and I didn’t know what it was. So, I read it and I get this. I read it and got convicted and clarity which means the spirit of God was in it when I wrote it because it’s tuning me up as I read it. If I hadn’t written it, I would have easily have suspected someone else wrote it because unless you told me it was my name attached, it looks like someone else could have written it.

Mercedes: Let’s get into the teaching though because I feel like people are not going to make it this far into the broadcast.

Lance: If you, listen, you know, what? If you left the broadcast by now, you won’t be listening to me.

Mercedes: Actually, we should give something away to all the people who made it this far into the broadcast.

Lance: As a matter of fact, we are.

Mercedes: They were all too busy to make it this far into the broadcast.

Lance: This is like the underground church stories I heard growing up where they would get up and they’d say, by the way, whatever, they make some announcement about the secret services in the meeting and they’re watching us. And so, at this point, you’re uncomfortable take, you should and then bunch of people look around nervously and leave. And then after they left, they go, okay, now we’re ready for the real meeting because they only want the real people there. So, for the three of you that are still watching, I want to send you cookies from Melody. Melody, will you send them some cookies? We can send them a free gift.

Melody: So, I’m not making these cookies, right?

Mercedes: No, there’s no cookies. There’s no way you can make that.

Lance: Cookies will probably not happen.

Mercedes: Chelsea and I are going to text right now and figure out what we can put together on the link. So, at the end of the broadcast, if you make through the teaching, you’ll get something.

Lance: You’re going to be well rewarded. You’re going to be rewarded. Alright, the devil knows your weakness and if given the opportunity, he will set you up to fail. That’s why the verse make no provision for the flesh is so important. If you have a problem with chocolate, don’t take a job at the Hershey Chocolate Factory. Some sins you overcome by simply getting the heck away from them. And sorry to say, some sins can only be overcome by getting away from the people that tempt you. And that’s being too busy to discern temptation is one of the reasons why people fall recklessly into sin. The warning flares were there. You ever noticed that? That when you look back on say somebody that that was damaging to you and you could see it clearly in retrospect, but you can’t see it at the time.

It’s not because God isn’t trying to talk to us because you’re too busy to heed the warning lights.Rick Renner says, think about it again regardless of your spiritual background the devil knows exactly which buttons to push. He knows which buttons to push in your emotions to keep you all bound up and depressed. He even knows how to disguise his voice to make you think God is talking to you. He wants to get you off track so you’ll dispel your deepest dreams and cast them off. Oh, that’s just me, that’s just me, that’s just me. You see, if dismissing a dream that God gives you that keeps coming back to you, you’re being busy is not helping you because you’re not giving heed to what’s. If you ever see that TV show, where used to be years ago where do you have people in the supermarket and they would run around the supermarket Eastern was given like 3 minutes to go up and down in the aisle. And they load the basket up with as much items as they could get in there and get to the cashier by the finish line to have them ring it up, right.

Mercedes: Yeah.

Lance: Whoever got the most dollars spent, got to keep what they got and the other people had to put it back. You think about it’s a pretty cheap show. It’s like when your grand prize is $150.It’s not much, but everybody could see themselves running around and you know there were certain smart people that went for the meat section, right. Because the meat might be the most expensive item. So, the filet mignons, they pile them up as much as they could. Every day Godgives you it rains down upon you $1 bills, $5 bills, $20s, $100s and occasionally it’s a check for $1,000 to $5,000. If you were only given two minutes to gather up the money and whoever gathered the most money got to keep it, you’d be judicious about what you focused on. You would be focusing on the $1 bill in the 5 minutes. You’d be hunting for the $100 bills or for the check, the unusual item. It doesn’t fit. Just go grab those checks. But every day, God speaks and we go chasing the $5-Instagram, checking the social media like almost like addicts. Talking and chattering with people and God is dropping. Why do we know that? Because the Bible does say that it’s called daily bread. Give us thy this day our daily every day God has something to say.

Mercedes: Amen.

Lance: So, what if God gives you a dream? How this podcast happened? Mercedes is smart about this. I will say this. He’s smart about a lot of things but this is the one area I’m going toacknowledge.

Mercedes: That’s so nice. Thank you.

Lance: Smart about a lot of things. Not everything by the way. Like for instance.

Mercedes: And they’re critical parents. Go ahead.

Lance: Alright. She’s really good at this. I said to her, I want to do podcast. I wanted to,remember this was like two years ago. I said, I want to do, we were doing like a real America’s voice at the time radio stuff and I was doing some, I might even been doing like TV stuff now and then. But I kept on saying I really want to do podcasts and I was slow getting into podcasting because I thought it was a young people’s thing. I was always told you want to reach young people to doing podcast. I thought no my people are older people anyway. They’re on Facebook. But Mercedes stopped me one day and she said to someone, you know what? I’m going to look into this podcasting thing because I know Lance, I let him come up with the idea and if it’s him, he’ll go to another idea. But if it’s God, it keeps coming back to him. And after he repeats, he’s been saying he wants to do this for months now. So, we’re going to look into it. So, she knew that if the idea was for me, it would be a flash in the pan and I generate a lot of ideas because by gift is ideation.

Mercedes: That’s one thing I want to throw in there is that you are a forever creator and so because it can sound like it’s like I’m limiting you in some way. But the reality is when you work with Lance, Lance has 5 ideas every single day and they all sound like really interesting ideas but trying to sift through, okay, what’s a good idea, what’s a bad idea, but then what’s a God idea.And so, the one way that if you have a creator in your life the one way, I’ve kind of noticed that is that it does come up repeatedly in some sort of pattern. So, there’re certain things like that and that’s why we decided to figure all this out.

Lance: That’s why we’re doing this right now. So, what I want to say to you is to reel this back in, don’t lose the $100 bills because they’ll keep on falling and so you didn’t pick it up today but look tomorrow. Because if it’s God, there’s going to be a repeat of the impression, the idea, the vision. Have you ever had it that somebody’s on your mind and you need to call them?Someone’s in your mind you need to call. This happened to me yesterday with Annabelle. Oh yeah, it was Al Hartman. So, Al Hartman’s a friend of mine. I haven’t talked to Al in like a year it seems. And it’s on my mind. Call Al. Call Al. Call Al. And then I overhear Melody coming out and saying well Al Hartman called. It’s like, I wish I called him first. Because I was on his mind. He had to pursue me to call me for something.

So, here’s the point. I believe this year if you will not let the pace of life drive you but create the margins, the space on purpose where you’re looking to cultivate and curate the impression that God is giving you the still small voice of God is talking and Rick Renner says, if the devil can push your buttons with certain subjects that get you on an emotion. We all know, you ever have a spouse or someone that’s in your family, how to trigger them. All you got to do is bring up this or bring up that and you it’s like pushing boom off the go and the devil knows how to do that. The devil knows how to do that. He wants to get you off track and those dreams that you have that are coming back to you, you’ll start, you’ll keep dismissing them because you won’t recognize the repetition and the consistency of the idea might be God calling you to pursue it.

So, next paragraph, that’s being smart. It’s slowing down out of busy and getting re–grounded in the spirit. Now, here’s a major key. How do I sensitize myself to be able to find that sound of God? Well, imagine if you know, when I use $100 bills, these store owners got these markers and they mark the paper to see what the response is. Sometimes they hold them up because there’s a certainly. Suppose that you had these goggles you could put on and you could see an ultraviolet strike put on the currencies that you’re supposed to pay attention to. If you have the lights and you had those goggles on, you could remove the distraction by finding just the marked bills Godhas for you. There’s a way to do that in the spirit.

Jesus said, “My words are spirit and they are life”. John 6:63. “My words are spirit”. Please hear me on this. This is like technology. God‘s words here are in some way infused with the divine breath of God in a way that’s unique from all the other books I’ve got on my bookshelves. Got 20,000 books. Something in here has the breath of God in it. Jesus said, my words are spirit and they are light but more than that he says, if you abide in me and my words abide in you. Which means if you memorize them, if you read them, if you meditate upon them, they get into your spirit. They get into the deepest part of your design because your spirit, soul, and body.

Your soul is where your mind is. Your soul is where your emotions are. Your Soul is where the faculty of choice resides. But your spirit is the intuitive sensing of the realm of God and the intuition of things God is speaking and things to come. It’s the realm of communion. With the spirit of God. And I say that because Jesus says, my words are spirit and they are life. My words are like manna you can eat. You can literally take in those words. And they produce for your spirit night vision. Heightened sensitivity. A greater sense of discerning of what God is saying. Don’t make the mistake of feeding your body 3 meals a day. Or as Kenneth Hagin would say,you’re feeding your body and your soul on 3, you’re giving, you’re feeding your body 3 meals a day. Oh yeah, I got it right here. Don’t make the mistake of feeding your body 3 meals a day hunting for fresh organic this and that while forcing your spirit man to subsist on dry crackers and motivational quotes from your favorite preacher book. Your spirit man, the inner man has to be fed daily.

Brother Hagin would say, words of faith come by the spirit of God and you can’t feed your spirit man crackers and expect to have nuclear power. You’ve got to actually your diet will determine your destiny. Give us this day our daily bread. Has to be referring to food and revelation.Because Jesus said, “Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God”. What is proceeds? It’s the word in Greek for emotion coming towards you. It literally means God‘s word has a power coming towards you every day and you live by what proceeds from the mouth. God‘s got something to say. My meat is to do the will of him that sent me. His word is meat. His word is bread and it feeds your spirit. This is revelation food sent from God to you to feed your spirit. There is daily revelation. It might be subtle. It might be simple.

The other day, the Lord spoke one thing to me. I was thinking about how much growth I really need. How much sanctification I really need? How much I still lack and I need to pray more. I need to fast. I need, and you can make a list of things you’re not doing that you really think you need to do. And Lord was quickened me one thought and it was a it was a revelation in just a thought. I can hardly put it into words, but it was simple and it’s possible and it’s not hard to just please me and as soon as the verse come up about where Paul says that you might know how to please God. That I realize that the greatest thing I want isn’t revelation. It’s just to know that I’m pleasing to God that we can have the ability. I mean, the dreadful judge of the universe and his power to send you to hell is someone who’s relationship you should be interested in and it’s not hard to please him. Then the next verse that came to my mind was my yoke is easy my burden’s light. Meaning, Lance I’m not putting on you a rigorous fast and some kind of a personal cleansing in order for me to be happy with you I could be happy with you right now just adjust your focus and make me your delight and you’re not that far from really beginning my smile.

Okay. Looking back over some blown opportunities I wrote; the Lord spoke the following to me and it really shook me up. There are words that have been spoken by God that were fresh proceeding words right out of his mouth into your situation but you were too busy or preoccupied to hear them. You walked into situations where you didn’t have the advantage of his counsel. You didn’t make the best choice. You didn’t make the right choice because you were too busy or preoccupied to hear what he was actually proceeding and telling you. Fix that. Bring your plans. Bring your purposes. Bring your dreams. Bring your desires. Bring them all before the Lord and he’ll cause your thoughts to align with his. I’ll tell you something else. Do you want to overcome temptation?

Here’s a funny thing about human beings. We actually think God isn’t looking and God isn’t knowing what’s going on in your head. God knows. Would you have this like the story in the Old Testament where Moses is going to kill the Egyptian and he looks this way and he looks that way. Its Bible says, “He looks this way and that way and kills the Egyptian”. He doesn’t think anybody saw it. God saw it. So, I heard Bill Goffin say this once. Let me share this with all of you. You want a quick way of dealing with temptation? Share the thought with God because Godsees it anyway. Instead, we think we got our own little curtain or drawn down between us and God. No, God sees it.

So, share it and say, oh Lord, right now, I’m really wanting to smack that person. I really want to hit them. I want to do them harm. Lord, I really like revenge right now. I’m thinking of imaginary scenarios where I can get back at them. What do you think about that and just pause. I promise you. It’s antiseptic. Annabelle says something which is so precious and so powerful. When she would be in our marriage and done it lately. I have to ask her if there’s you know anything I need to know, but she would say, there’s some thoughts I’ve had and what I find is when I share them with you, they dissipate or evaporate. So, she’d be struggling with something and then when she shares it, brings it to the light. It evaporates. And she said, actually the problem for me is almost half beat the moment I take it from dark to light and talk to someone about it. That’s where you need a friend. You don’t need a friend that’s going to go tattling and talking about things you want someone where do you share it, it dissipates. It loses all of its ghastly proportion and menace because you put it out there and then when you say it, oh heck, doesn’t sound that menacing when I say it. Because it’s in the unconscious unarticulated realm the devil’s doing war with you listen to me again. I want to read it to you. Bring your plans for the Lord and he will cause your thoughts to align with his. I got 29 seconds. Watch this.

Go back to the presence. Go back to the preceding words that come from his mouth. Go back to his face. That’s how you find his mouth. Don’t just seek an insider wisdom. Seek the face of God. When you find his face, you’re going to hear his mouth speak. That’s how you go to access the proceeding word. So, you just got to have the habit of eating every day. It’s called reading the Bible in a place where you’re undistracted and can give your devotional energy to it. Discover what heaven has for today and if you’ll do this or just feed your spirit, your discerning will go up 1000%. You’ll discern God in the midst of the noise and you make better decisions because your spirit is always right. Your soul will get you wrong and if you want to get more of these powerful, do we get this weekly Melody?
