RASMUSSEN: High Number of Likely Voters Believe Joe Biden Has Dementia

Joe Biden dementia

It is not very often that I look at a poll and think, “Wow, that’s a big deal.” But that is certainly the case when it comes to the results of a brand new poll published by Rasmussen.

According to the results, thirty-eight percent or nearly four in ten likely voters believe that Joe Biden “is suffering from some form of dementia.” Forty-eight percent did not and fourteen percent were unsure.

The numbers are devastating for the Biden campaign as simple math dictates that the presumptive Democrat nominee could potentially face an electorate in which a majority have no faith in his mental health.

Respondents who answered “yes” included sixty-six percent of Republicans, thirty percent of independents and even twenty percent of Democrats.

If nearly forty percent of likely voters think Biden is losing his marbles, he can expect to lose those votes and that leaves only sixty-two percent for him to present his case to.

Eighty-six percent of respondents said a candidate’s health is important to their vote and a majority of fifty-six percent believe the candidates should release their most recent health records.

Making the poll even more of a blow to Biden’s chances is the fact that the results are based on the responses of likely voters, not just registered ones. If this poll is indicative of where Biden stands among that critical group then the walls may be closing in on his campaign.

The news comes as the presidential hopeful continues to struggle in his efforts to avoid gaffes while public speaking. Just three days ago, Biden said on video that we have “120 million dead” from covid-19.

As we previously reported, the Trump campaign stepped up its efforts last week to capitalize on this perceived weakness of their opponent in this biting video ad.

This survey of 1,000 Likely Voters was conducted June 25 and 28, 2020 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.
