  • President Trump – President Trump said China has indicated that negotiations over an initial trade deal are advancing, raising expectations that the nations’ leaders could sign an agreement at a meeting next month in Chile. The Department of Justice seized and shut down the world’s “largest darkest child pornography website,” filing multiple charges against its ringleader, a South Korean man. Pray for President Trump and those working with him to reach the initial trade deal with China. In regards to the impeachment situation, the following excerpt comes from an Intercessors of America (IFA) article:Most of us are aware that the inquiry is happening in secret, behind closed doors, in a “Democrats only” process. The senator continued, ‘It’s not ok. It should bother us all. They hold interviews for eight to nine hours a day behind closed doors and then release a three-minute clip to the press. In addition, President Trump has not been given the chance to respond or face his accusers. This should bother us all.’ When asked how we can and should pray he responded, ‘Pray for the President. He always seems unsettled. We need to pray for him for peace and wisdom. The prayer for peace is a good prayer for all of our leaders.”’ Also from IFA: A contact who has “worked closely with President Trump and his family has asked for a corporate Esther fast from November 2-5, 2019. The fast is a call for the safety and protection of President Trump and his family. There is great concern over increased threats against them. The timing of this fast is 365 days before the 2020 election.”

  • International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church (IDOP) – Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019 – From the Family Research Council (FRC), they are asking pastors and Christians everywhere to prepare in advance to observe the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. Christians across the world have long been the most persecuted religious group in the world. And more Christians are being persecuted across the globe now than at any time in history. That’s why millions of Christians around the world observe IDOP, and why prayer is needed now more than ever.

  • Israel And The Middle East – By the actions of Israeli President Rivlin, the task of forming Israel’s next government has fallen on former military chief Benny Gantz. Gantz will have to address conflicting demands from disparate political parties to succeed. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu returned the mandate for forming a government to President Rivlin after failing for the second time in six months to cobble together enough support for a coalition. Chances are growing that Israel will be forced to hold a third election this year. Pray for all those in leadership in Israel to be able to come together in forming the needed coalition government.
