Judge Rips Kim Foxx’s Office For Double Standards

Clearly, there is still a lot of anger in the Chicago legal system at the sudden termination of the Jussie Smollett trial, with all charges dropped.

On April 11th, Candace Clark appeared in the courtroom of Cook County Judge, Marc Martin, accused of one count of making a false police report. The same thing Smollett was accused of, except instead of one count, he had 16 counts.

Clark Was accused of giving a friend access to her bank account then reporting to police that money was stolen, a charge that she denies.

According to a transcript obtained by FOX 32, Judge Martin ripped the prosecutors, saying:

“I’d like to know why Ms. Clark is being treated differently than Jussie Smollett. It’s a disorderly conduct case. A lot less egregious than Mr. Smollett’s case. I have a problem with it.”

The judge then went on to say, “Ms. Clark is not a movie star, she doesn’t have a high-priced lawyer…And this smells big time. Your office created this mess. There’s no publicity on this case. Press gets ahold of this; it’ll be the newspaper.”

Well, how right the judge was. The double standards that Kim Foxx’s office represent are quite breathtaking. Ms. Clark is due back in court on May 15th and we’ll update with more details then.
