YOU DON’T NEED TO DOUBT YOUR DESIRES IF YOU DELIGHT IN GOD.

It’s a strange reality that sheep always question themselves and goats never question themselves. In a world of competing people and spirits, it pays to be clear and confident when moving toward the things you desire. Doubt about the will of God creates hesitation and uncertainty that opens up opportunities for the enemy to rob us of blessings meant for us. While you wonder about an open door, someone else can walk through the door meant for you.
Let’s put an end to self-doubt.

One of my favorite Bible promises is “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4
This is an amazing promise. Your delight in the Lord releases the power to see your hearts desire come true for you. How does God give you the desires of your heart? The Apostle Paul reveals this process as follows: “For God is at work in you both to will and to do His good pleasure.” Phil 2:13 God gives you the “want to” that is in you. This is what Jesus meant when He said that if you abide in Him and His words abide in you, you will ask what you desire and it will be granted to you. If you delight, you don’t need to doubt.

This is where the favor comes into play. Favor is a supernatural factor that attracts the people, insight, resource, or opportunity needed to do Gods will. And this favor is something “obtained” or taken hold of.
This is found in the promise that “a good man obtains favor from the Lord.” This verse is repeated twice in Proverbs 18:22 and Proverbs 12:2. It is worthwhile to note that “favor” in these verses refers to a Hebrew word indicating – delight. In fact, favor is translated in various places as “delight” not once but 5x! What’s the connection? Favor is the supernatural delight of God released to those who delight in pleasing Him.

This could all be reworded to say: “A good man obtains a position of delight before God, and this delight works to plant within you the very desires God wants to make manifest through you when you pray.”

In the midst of all the turmoil of life, the one thing that remains constant is God and His Word. Delight yourself in His Word, and your desires will be shaped to become what He desires. When your desires are His desires, your prayers are praying His will to be manifest. You need to let go of self-doubt and begin to believe that the desires in your heart are the very desires God put there to be made manifest! Do you long for more supernatural manifestation? God put that there. Do you desire to go higher up your mountain and do exploits? God put that there.

Take hold of the favor heaven is releasing and go forth, “nothing doubting.”
