You Are Anointed To Fix What’s Wrong | Supernatural Living

Lance: Let’s talk about the anointing that is coming down upon the church right now. Church is in desperate need of an anointing. The book of Acts, boldness, fire, clarity and I’m saying that the spirit of Elijah is prophesied to come upon the earth before the great and terrible day of the Lord,to prepare a people for Jesus. Now the first time that spirit of Elijah came prophesied in Malachi the last chapter, chapter 4, “Behold I send Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of the Lord.” He’s coming before to make ready a people. Well, John the Baptist comes along. We just study in our last message and John the Baptist he comes, according to the scripture you get your Bible. So, you do this is a bible study you need a Bible to do this one. 

Chapter 1 verse 17, the scripture says that, he’s coming in the spirit and power of Elijah. Which means that there’s a spirit of Elijah, that means it’s not actually Elijah the prophet coming back. It’s the spirit of Elijah that comes upon a prophetic group. And what is that group doing? It’s turning people from the disobedience to the wisdom of the just. It’s turning people from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to the power of God and it’s going to require a certain kind of a proclamation, it’s going to be a little different this Elijah’s spirit. Because when Elijah shows up, he starts off his message. Remember what I said to you, it’s on chapter three verse 4, 5 & 6.The voice of one crying in the wilderness make ready the way of the Lord and make his path straight, and every ravine will be filled up every mountain and hill brought low every crooked way will become straight and the rough places smooth. The spirit and power of Elijah is going to make.

Let’s start with the beginning here. It’s going to make his path straight. So, if it’s crooked, it’s going to become straight. Then, if it’s every mountain, if it’s brought up too high, it’s going to be made low. Check this out. If it’s going to be rough, it’s going to be smooth. You notice what’s consistent here? Whether you’re crooked or whether you’re haughty or whether you’re rough or whether it’s low. Every low place will be level. Notice it’s four different conditions, but one manifestation, one straight way. Now what’s curious to me about this and I want you to see this is, this isn’t talking about highway construction, right. This is talking about to make ready a people. So, this is people that the spirit hits that moves them into this direction. Straightens people out. Takes the rough, smooths them out. But then I want you to see when Jesus comes. What does he say?

Jesus shows up and he returns in chapter 4, verse 14 in the power of the Holy Spirit. New Joseph Brown is spreading and Jesus goes to the synagogue he finds the book he opens it up and he says, the spirit of the Lord is upon me. For he’s anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor. He sent me to proclaim release to the captives, the recovery of sight to the blind, to sit at liberty those that are oppressed. So, what you find is here that the poor or the blind or the demonized. Let’s see, or the death. Different conditions of humanity, but the spirit and power of Elijah on John the Baptist straighten them out to make ready, a people and Jesus comes. And now he himself has this anointing to deliver them, to heal them, to set them right. John did a reformation on the character. Jesus did a reformation on their physical life.

It shows that God‘s interested both in your character and in your physical needs in your own life.But the point that I want you to catch is the anointing in both Jesus and John the Baptist is for the purpose of fixing what’s wrong. The anointing, want you remember this. The anointing is there to fix what’s wrong, because so many times I think we confuse the anointing with, I wish I had the anointing more anointing, have an anointing service go, get the anointing oil lay hands,people fall down, they want to have more anointing. What does it mean to have an anointing? It means that you have the ability to solve a problem. The problem John the Baptist had to do is to make ready a people for Jesus. Once he got those people straightened out in terms of following after God, John flipped them over to Jesus and said, follow him. Behold the lamb of God and so that whole movement went over to follow Jesus. John gets locked up, taken out, head gets cut off. That movement now is now with Jesus.

The people that John the Baptist made ready are now watching the healings and the miracles and something interesting happens here. John was disappointed with what Jesus was doing. He was anointed clearly that the dead are raised. I mean, there was nothing that Jesus couldn’t do, but John was disappointed. Now, this is so important you catch this. You see, John as a prophet He saw the future. And what did he see? Stay with me now. John the Baptist, he sees. Look at verse 16. He’s going to baptize you with the Holy Ghost with fire. His winnowing fork is in his hand. He will thoroughly clear his threshing floor. He’ll gather the wheat in his barn. He’s going to burn up the chap with unquenchable fire. Whoo. What is John see? John the prophet sees the return of Jesus. And he sees fire. He sees a gathering. He sees a judgement. He sees a rulership.

He sees that and what shows up? Jesus’ healing. Jesus delivering. Jesus with the children dancing and singing Jesus with his disciples. Trying to figure out what he’s doing. John the Baptist saw that. I want you to see something. The prophet saw the future but he saw the second coming not the first. That’s how come John was confused. He preached like that was going to happen next. You watch out. His fire, his flame is in his hand, his fork is in his hand. He’s going to separate all the chap. He’s going to gather the wheat and he’s going to judge and set up shop. He’s going to rule the nations. John was right. He got the wrong timing. You know what our problem is? Now we’re heading to this and we don’t have John the Baptist Revelation.

Listen to what I’m saying. We’re now in the period that John saw and we’re going backwards to Jesus’s first appearing. We’re looking for hailing and miracles and blind eyes and we’re not seeing the fact that he’s coming to rule and judge the nations. He’s coming back as a lion. First time he came as a lamb. Now, he’s coming as a lion. We’re all looking for a lamb and the lion is what’s showing up. No wonder the church is confused. I know that this is kind of like going in a different direction people think. So, let’s go to second Thessalonians. Let me prove to you exactly what I’m talking about. It’s in the word of God, not making it up. Second Thessalonians, what did John the Baptist see? Here’s what he says.

The apostle Paul says, verse 6 chapter 1, second Thessalonians. “For after all, it is only just for God to replay with affliction. Those who afflict you and to give relief to you who are afflicted and to us as well”. When the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, what John saw in flaming fire, what John saw dealing retribution upon those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus, these will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, driven away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his power. When he comes to be glorified in the saints in that day, the gathering and be marveled at among all those who believed our testimony and to this end we pray for you. John the Baptist saw this. He saw Jesus’ return. He didn’t see what Jesus was going to do fully in the redemptive plan and so Jesus had to kind of like educate him.

He said, ‘Hey, you know blind see the deaf hear the good news is preached. Don’t be offended.’Jesus was coming to reveal the anointing, would not only be there to straighten out the crooked but would be there to bless the living with the supernatural provision of healing and deliverance.The supernatural provision of provision that God would somehow make a way for his people.So, the goodness of God as a sacrifice was missed. John saw the future and this is why prophets sometimes miss stuff. They don’t get the timeline. They see things. So many times, in the prophecies, what you’ll see is the prophets will see their day. They’ll see the future day. They might even see the millennium. And in one prophecy, this is where you go to Isaiah or the prophets. They’re talking about this in one moment the son of God coming to you meek and lowly riding upon a cult and then the next minute and all the nations are going up to the feast of Tabernacles if they don’t, go God judges them. That’s the millennium. Or they’re coming to, he’s coming back with shaking the heavens and the earth and overturning all systems. This is Jesus coming.

So, you have to be able to catch the prophetic timeline and if John can make a mistake well, we can make a mistake. That’s why I’m saying we’re actually in the period that John saw. Jesus is coming back to rule. He’s not coming back to negotiate and the nations are going to have an attitude and he’s going to have to deal with them. Well, the antichrist will be there when Jesus comes back and so Paul says in chapter 2. He said, now, we request you brethren with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus and our gathering to him. Don’t be quickly shaken. Don’t be disturbed either by a spirit or a messenger, a letter to the effect that the day of the Lord, the day of the Lord has already come. For it’s not going to come unless there’s a falling away first. That’s interesting.

There’s going to be people that fall away. There’ll be those that repent and turn and there’s going to, it’s the great and terrible day. There’s a falling away and the man of lawlessness is revealed. The son of destruction who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called God or object of worship so that he takes his place in this temple of God displaying himself as being God. And then Paul says that, he’s being restrained. He can’t show up until God allows it. God‘s restraining when that’s going to show up and then the lawless one will be revealed. Verse 8, what did John the Baptist say? The Lord will slay him with the breath of his mouth and bring to an end his rule by the appearance of his coming. He will slay him with the breath of his mouth and destroy his rule. That what John the Baptist saw.

I’m here to tell you that we’re living in the days when the antichrist is rising, that Jesus the lion is coming forth, that the spirit of Elijah is being poured out and Elijah company is being raised up.And it’s going to turn disobedient to the wisdom of the just. It’ll be a baptism of repentance. It’ll be backsliders that are coming in and it’s going to tangle with politics, sorry John the Baptist dead. And one guy say, well Lance, remember how it ended up with John the Baptist he lost his head You know what they were saying? They’re saying they were going to be politically smarter than John the Baptist because John the Baptist evidently made a mistake. He shouldn’t have made any comments about Herod. Is that really what you’re supposed to learn from that? Or is it that you speak the truth and are no respecter of persons. You don’t needlessly and rudely offend but you speak the truth and you’re not a respecter of persons. You don’t speak for political advantage and you don’t stay silent for political calculus. The spirit of Elijah is speaking. Herodain’t going to listen. It’s the people around Herod that got to get saved. Alright, so the anointing is there to solve a problem. That’s what I want you to catch. The spirit of the lord is upon me for his anointing. When the anointing is there, it’s there.

Now, what problem are you called to solve? That’s where your calling comes in. You have a specific calling and you have to administrate that calling so that you’re doing what the anointing in your life is called to do. And it’s going to be based upon your call, your gifts, what God called you to do. But what I want you to catch is that the spirit of the lord upon you but this the lord’s anointed you. For the manifestation of the spirit in a certain capacity and you’re going to be touching lives. I believe that the lord wants us to be thinking in terms of increase, increasing our measure of deliverance, increasing the authority of what’s coming through us in the realm that God‘s called us to. And I believe that you can be part of that increase as you connect with those that are so likeminded doing that work.

I’m going to hit a verse right now. Acts 13 verse 41. It’s a powerful verse. It says, “Behold you scoffers and marvel and perish. For I’m accomplishing a work in your days. A work which you’ll not believe those so many declarety”. There’s a backlash coming against the elites and the rulers that have made the world miserable and unstable for so many democracies. And there’s going to be a period of consolidated pushback. And that anointing is going to be the opportunity. The window we have for the great world harvest. Trust me on that. Doesn’t it make sense? That there a window of harvest.

The purpose of the shaking is to shake out everything that militates against the government of Jesus Christ right up until when Jesus shows up in flames of fire and executes vengeance on those that defy his rule and administration. Now, I got something I want to show you regarding the movement among the young. You got sons and daughters that are about to be visited in a profound way. I want to prophesy to you that God is about to make his way known to your sons and daughters. Your daughters are going to prophesy. Your young men shall see visions and all men will dream dreams. God is pouring out this visitation. It’s Elijah anointing to prepare a company for the Second coming of Jesus and I will pour out my spirit and your sons and daughters. It starts with sons and daughters.

God said, ‘I’m sending you Elijah to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, children of their fathers. Because the outpouring is coming to your sons and your daughters.’ God said, ‘Let the final generation go down the sinkhole of deception.’ He’s going to raise up his great harvest in your sons and daughters and it’s going to be a prophetic visitation. That’s why I guard the prophetic. I love the prophetic, because your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see your old men will dream dreams and I’m going to pour out of my spirit in those days upon both men and women and they shall prophesy. These will be communities that are filled with the prophetic anointing of God. Operating in the prophetic spirit of the Lord.

Now go to Luke chapter 19 and see this as we’re wrapping this up. When Jesus comes back,when he comes back as John the Baptist saw it. Chapter 19, verse 27, Jesus says, “Bring my enemies, the people that would not have me rule over them and slay them in my presence”. Whoo. This is what John saw coming. I’ll never forget when his revelation came to me. I hope I can get it to you. Remember I showed you? John the Baptist prepared the people. Rough places into what was supposed to be a level highway. That was what the prophet said. You’ll be a level highway, rough smooth and then Jesus comes along and he starts to heal. He starts to deliver. He starts to cast out and what happens is, a level highway was formed between Jesus and John the Baptist, a level highway was formed. But here’s the thing, that level highway that was formed going to the city was with that, there’s the donkey there to there, right. Jesus is going to ride on him and it was all the coats. Why would it be coats?

I was thinking about this. They’re laying their coats. Of course, they’re making an artificial carpet. They’re making a royal pathway, but why was this? Because the coats represented a people highway. See Jesus is going to return on the body of his people. It’s going to be the body of Christ. You see that? Their coats, their jackets, it represents the people he’s riding the highway of the people. Jesus going to ride the highway of the humanity, washed in the blood and filled with the Holy Spirit. And he’s going to ride the body of Christ and he’s going, the vehicle is going to be a young generation, is going to be what he’s going to be in contact with as he rides the highway. The Bible says, the anointing is going to take the body of Christ and shape it up and straighten it out and put us into the place where we’re aligned exactly as the Lord wants. In order that, this is where the Bible of this work. In order that, the glory may be revealed.

You see, the anointing is what goes to work to fix what needs to be changed. But the glory reveals the finished product. The anointing is to bring the adjustment so that the glory can be revealed. The anointing is for what’s wrong. The glory reveals what’s right and it’s going to be a glorious church, whoo, without spot or wrinkle why is it talking about a spot or a wrinkle. That’s a clothing metaphor, because the highway he’s going to be on is going to be a people highway with no wrinkles, no spots. Just a pure beautiful aligned people of God, straight, smooth. No oneup here, no one down here and Jesus going to ride a young generation and that they’re going to be a prophetic generation of sons and daughters. How exciting is that?

Pray for the spots, the wrinkles, the tears, the blemishes to be mended. That our lives can exhibit the glory of God. Let the anointing go to work to fix in us what needs to be fixed and to fix through us what needs to be fixed, that a level highway can be made manifest in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Power of God‘s going to be there and it’s going to be evident to everyone in the building that God is not just having another good meeting. This is the one the devil fears the most. Lance: And it’s going to be, and Florida’s the right place for this to happen because that’s like a launching pad for what’s going to be hitting. I believe States are going to end up like Florida. There’s something in that atmosphere. There’s new leadership that’s being raised up. And Christians are getting engaged at every level of occupying government influence from the school board, to the precinct, to the county commission, to the office. I think what’s lacking is a unified body of believers that are standing together with them. So, I’ve heard some of these politicians we talked to and say why aren’t you more bold in doing what you know has to be done and they say, well, why don’t you back us up more when we do it in our mouth. Because we say stuff and we can’t find you. I’m no longer willing to let this intimidation exist on the church regarding the political arena.

Lance: Some got to be settled. Some issue, it’s kind of like the Mount Carmel moment. Something’s got to be settled. We’re not going to go quietly into the night, like the title of your last book. We’re not going to just give up. We’re actually going to rise up and I believe this is the hour of an anointed pushback on what the devil’s been doing in America.
