Lance: Welcome to the New Year a new you a new kind of broadcast a new kind of way we’re going to approach the word of God. I’ve got my keyboard over here. Making a commitment this year we’re going to worship. We’re going to go into the word of God. I’m going to talk about peak performance as the God of psychology, the God of education, the God of business, the Godof government, we’re going to take all 7 Mountains and see how the word of God applies and it’s going to be an unusual and a great year. Many of you wanted to partner with us and help us with this bible studies, because this is a different kind of thing than we do than our normal media work which is politically active and publicly engaged.
This is reaching souls. This is the teaching ministry. This is probably one of the more important things we’re going to do this year and I want you to partner with this anointing. I want you to watch the broadcast. Go right ahead. Listen to it if you’re not familiar with this ministry but at some point, I want you to go to “Lancewallnau.com/partner” because this is where we’re building an army, an army of enlightened warriors. You’re going to go into all realms of the earth. We’re going to recover territory that America’s lost. We’re going to take on the powers of hell. Government can’t cast out government. The church is the only one authorized to deal with the devil. I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.
The answer for America is going to be an invigorated, powerful ecclesia, the body of Christ rising up in dominion in every area of influence where the devil seeks to destroy us. Want you go to “Lancewallnau.com/partner” and partner with this anointing, partner with this ministry, partner with the voice of the Lord that we believe is going out right now in the airways to build a firewall to restrain and constrain the darkness and to bring a great awakening. “Lancewallnau.com/partner”. God bless you.
It’s time for the most unusual Bible study I’ve ever done. It’s a first one. It’s going to be different today. I’m going to tell you that, but it’s the Lord saying it’s a New Year. We’re going to do things a little differently. And the difference that you make. It’s incremental. Can have exponential significance. When Tiger Woods for instance was becoming a golf superstar, he had discovered that there was a flaw in how he was holding a club. I had a peak performance coach a psychiatrist explains to me something that was going on with Tiger Woods that I thought you’d find interesting. That Tiger had to make one adjustment in the way he held the club, but though it was a small and incremental change it threw off his game. Because he had to keep playing a little different than he was accustomed to, but Tiger Woods had identified a constraint. A constraint is something which impacts your ability.
He recognized he could not get to the next level of mastery unless he was willing to break the constraint and the constraint was a little thing. The little thing was holding him back from the big thing and that’s the way sin is. A little sin, a little habit, a little compromise in an area which is strategic to your future can throw off the big benefit and blessing that God has for you. So, listen to what I’m saying. Tiger Woods had to go through a season where everybody says, Tiger lost his game. What’s wrong with Tiger? Tigers and he went down for a period of time until he mastered that adjustment. He had to break the constraint. He had to build a strength where there was a weakness, and once he broke his progress was exponential. He went to a new level. That’s what I’m telling you the lord is doing right now. Can I give you an illustration? It’s on the board right here. It’s called the Sigmoid Curve, but it’s an unusual Bible study.
We’re going to worship in the Bible study. We’re going to have the word in the Bible study, but I’m going to give you the idea that God is so vast like when I talk about the 7 Mountains. God is the God of athletics. God is the God of business and finance. God is the God of super learning. We’re going to learn how to do rapid Learning. God is the God of government. It’s the explanation to why America’s falling apart. Right behind my head right here, that Capitol Dome. I might even change that image out. I get tired of looking at it because if you got stupid is as stupid does is what Forrest Gump says and I think there’s a piece of wisdom in there. If you got stupidity in your government, you’re going to have terrible consequences. Because the law of constraints says that no organization can rise above the dominant constraint of its leadership.
That means if you’re a CEO of a company, if you’re the head of an organization, if you’re the leader of your own literal, worship team, your group, your family, your company, your country can never rise higher than the dominant constraint in the leadership. And if the dominant constraint in your national leadership is greed, shortsightedness, and the lust for power at the expense of truth or virtue. That constraint is going to stall the entire experiment in self-government and produce for you catastrophic consequences of lawlessness, hemorrhaging borders, and spiraling debt and inflation and out of control spending. It’s all the consequence of the constraint, the choke point is always leadership.
John Maxwell says at and I suppose it’s probably a best quote from Maxwell. If you get this, you got half of his teaching, that the problem is leadership and the solution is leadership. How does that apply to you? Tiger Woods found the constraint for him was how he held the club. He would never go to ultimate mastery of his profession unless he broke the constraint that meant practicing even embarrassing himself in public till, he mastered it. But once he mastered that that little to extinction, he went into exponential success. Suddenly, Target was became legendary. It was kind of like unstoppable.
So, let’s take a look at the Sigmoid Curve to show, it works. See this pen works here. Purple pen. Sigmoid curve. I have no idea where the term came from. Probably a guy named Sigmoid, but let’s say this is the results you’re looking for. We’re going to call that fruit. Alright, let’s say that that’s the fruit we’re looking for, right? And this is going to be results on this curve here. On this axis rather over here, we’re going to call this time. And in the natural life cycle of human beings of nations what’s typical is you start off, you keep growing, you hit your prime. Bam. You’re the pickier game, you start to plateau, you go for a period of time on that plateau and then you get older and you start to decline. This is the life cycle of companies, the life cycle of churches, the life cycle of ministries, the life cycle of revival, the life cycle of nations. You recognize that curve? This is your life cycle. You go up, you peak, you plateau, and you decline.
So, you could say you rise up to your full potential. You kind of hit the plateau here in the middle and then you have the period of decline. Now, what happens in a great company, a great life and Kenneth Hagan pointed this out. I always thought it was interesting. He said that, he rode more than one wave of revival. Few people can do that but he enjoyed like the benefits of the Pentecostal Azusa Street Revival but then he enjoyed the 1948 prophetic move of the signs and wonders in revival and he got on the word of faith. He was able to ride more than one wave because he was always after what God‘s doing now and stayed in the word. You tracking with me so far?
This is an unusual Bible study. We haven’t even got to the worship in the scripture yet but it’s common. God is the God of all these realms, right? I’m fetching my knowledge from afar and ascribing righteousness to my maker. I’m showing you that the plateau in business and in life as you rise to a certain level, you plateau and decline. However, there are those that ride more than one wave of revival. There are those companies that survive more than one cycle. You take a look at Apple. Apple was on a plateau and decline. They got rid of their eccentric founder who had his own constraint, Steve Jobs, but they brought him back in. And when they brought him back in, they brought him back in because they were here on this plateau and he said, no. We haven’t yet finished our potential. We could go here. We’ve got a bigger future in front of us.How you going to do that, Steve? How you going to do that, Tiger? You’re already at the peak.
Well, what you have to do is you have to identify the word ‘constraint’. What I’m saying is, you identify what’s the constraint that is holding me back from going to that next level. We all talk about new levels, new levels, new levels but then, going to tell you something. Very few Christians actually go to the next level and here’s why. There’s a science to it. You have to identify what the constraint is. What is that new habit that new behavior, that new mindset and if you don’t mind me putting it this way, I’m going to draw it this way. That area here that’s up there that I’m going to put the exclamation point is the Apex of a triangle that has to do with your own character. That’s your own heart, your own inner man, your own knowledge, something or an insight that you get and then a skill. It’s something you need to see. It’s a perspective or an insight that you get. Tiger Woods insight.
Oh my gosh. I’m not holding this this club right. It was an old timer showed him that you could never have the full control you need. If you grew up this way so you’re going to have to change that habit Tiger. Tiger need once he got the knowledge, he needed the skill and then he had to have the discipline and the humility. Why the humility? Because the new skill didn’t take him. You think it would take you here. It didn’t. It took him here. This is called the Dipsy Doodle. Every company goes through it. What this means is that while you’re practicing the new skill, you’re not so impressive. It’s new. You’re learning how to use your faith. You’re learning how to walk in the spirit. You’re learning how to lead people to Christ. You’re learning how to pray for the sick.
Most people want to go from reading the book to success. They aren’t prepared for the contradiction. The contradiction is you got to be willing to look bad before you look good. You’ve got to be humble enough to practice and let your this is what’s great about Bethel out at Redding. They’ve really, they mastered a couple of things and put them on the map as a great kind of Pentecostal prophetic school. One of them is they force you to divest yourself of ego when you go out and start practicing, hearing God and praying for people. In other words, if you’re worried about making mistakes, you take little risks but if you don’t care about the mistakes and you’re willing to go up to somebody and say, is there someone named Alice in your life? No, there’s no one named Alison.
By the way, where I learned this from? Kim Clement, the greatest arguably greatest prophet even probably greater because he’s not around anymore. So, I told him, you’re going to have like Nostradamus. We joked about it. I said, people are going to take up our every prophecy you ever made and reinterpreted like a fortune cookie for the rest of our generation and it’s exactly what’s happened with Kim Clement. He told me when he started as a youth pastor, a youth pastor. He’d practice the word of knowledge, he’d say, ‘Who is Arnold, Arnie, Arnie, Arnie, who is that?’ The person goes, ‘I don’t know.’ And he’d say, ‘Well, don’t worry about it. Forget about it,’ and he go over here. He go, ‘Alice, Allison, who Allison. I don’t know any Allison. Don’t worry about it.’If he hadn’t told me that and I owe saw him at the zenith of his game I would have thought, oh,I’ll never get there. But you see Bethel does it right. They say, forget your ego. If you’re not making mistakes, you’re not growing. You got to go push yourself till you fail and then get comfortable failing because it’s not about you, it’s about learning the new skill. I hope somebody’s hearing me. You might screw up on a couple of investments.
The key is if you’re involved in the market if you’re involved in real estate, you start small so that you can fail small. Don’t bet the farm on your first transaction. Start doing small deals and learn what you got right, what you got wrong. That’s how you accumulate skill. So, what this is called the dipsy doodle. Dipsy Doodle is when in an airplane, I had a pilot tell me this. They said, when we’re international airspace, we’re not limited by protocol. If we want to really kick it up to like a higher altitude, we kick down and shoot up. We don’t do this gradual ascent. We drop our butt down. We drop and boom like you ever see those jets that are going to go like in an ascended arc. You see them going like that. Dipsy boom doodle. So, the Dipsy Doodle is when you start going backwards because you’re practicing the new skill.
The Word of faith is a skill. I feel sorry for those of you that had just come to conclusions based on what no one else had told you about things and it’s like, well, don’t do this, don’t do that. It might be that they failed at it because they didn’t master it. Mastery has to do with these stages of hitting a certain level of development recognizing what you’ve got to adjust and it’s a little thing. An attitude. Some little thing that you got to work on. The Dipsy Doodle goes this way but then you hit the point where you break through and that you breakthrough, boom. What have you got? You’ve established a new plateau. This is the cool part about this illustration. You now in terms of results, you’re now getting higher results. Your other results were over here, but in the course of time, instead of declining, you’ve just created a new life cycle. The United States had gone through.
Now, here’s the interesting thing. The United States is a nation. It formed in 1776 and it went through its period of formation and then it began to hit a decline and it was Civil War. But then boom, we were able to push past the issue of Civil War and we went through to a crisis on World War II of depression, great depression. Global anarchy with not to Germany and Japan and boom what we did was we retooled our nation and went to new height countries through this process. I hope you catch what I’m saying. Because what I’m telling you is what is that sin the finger of God is putting a finger on you right now in a certain area to say, deal with that. Why would I say sin? Because I believe sometimes is sin can be an area of ignorance.
Remember there’s sins of commission that’s when you’re doing something you shouldn’t be doing and there’s sins of omission, when you fail to do that which you know you ought to do. And I think the great key to revival for America isn’t us changing Washington. Everybody wants to have prophecies in the New Year. What’s coming? What’s coming? Who the heck cares about what’s coming in an area you have no authority over and that God‘s not going to hold you accountable for? You want to know what’s coming in your life that God is calling you to respond to? In other words, the Lord’s been talking to me about make the adjustments in the little things. So, God says to you, he wants you to get up a little earlier. He wants to spend time in the word. That little thing can be a sin of negligence. “My people perish for a lack of knowledge”.Sometimes, you just don’t know that that extra hour or half hour of preparation in the morning will fine tune you for success during the day. That little thing is a big thing. Does it make sense to you?
I hope it does, because sometimes it’s the little foxes that spoil the vine and if you want to have big results you listen to the little thing that God says. One of the words that the Lord gave you for this New Year is in Mark chapter 4. I want you to go there, Mark chapter 4, oop, actually I’m going to have to tell you Mark. I’m going to go to Matthew chapter 10 instead, Matthew 10because we don’t have time, I only got 10 minutes left. Mathew 10. I want you to see this verse. The Lord spoke it to me rather quickly but I got to share it with you. Jesus is talking about in verse 25, “If they’ve called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they malign the members of his household?”
In other words, settle it in your heart that people are going to speak bad about you. It could be that for a lot of people the big challenge they’ve got is they’re so sensitive to criticism. The sin might be thinking more highly of yourself than you ought to. So, when that sin, I believe could be hypersensitivity, excessive sensitivity, and reference to self. Worrying about what people think about you. Worrying about your reputation, worrying about what people say about you. Hyper ofthe sin could be hypersensitivity and self-absorption. We’re a very narcissistic generation. The cellphone like feeds the narcissism. Everybody’s got selfies. It’s like an obsessive thing. Everybody has their own channel about them and it doesn’t make you more rounded. It makes you more psychotic actually, because your success is about being grounded and hearing God and focusing what he’s saying about other people that you’re called to reach and touch or minister to. It’s all about others and how you become focused on God to be focused on the others that you’re called to reach.
So, here’s the word the Lord gave me. Do not fear them. Do not fear who? Do not fear the critics. If they hated Jesus, they’re going to hate you and you’ll never be so scrupulously politically correct and squeaky, clean, and loving that they won’t criticize you, because Jesus was sinless and they criticized him. What do you expect? Do not fear them for there’s nothing concealed that will not be revealed. A got to, I guess I got the American what version do I got here? I got the New American Standards on my desk. I use them all. Don’t have a preference. But I like the language here. ‘Nothing concealed that will not be revealed or hidden that will not be known. What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light, what you hear whispered in your ear, proclaim upon the housetops and again, do not fear those that can kill your body but are unable to kill the soul but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.’
You never hear a sermon about that. You never hear a sermon about you ought to fear Godbecause the worst the devil could do is he could kill you, but God you after you’re dead and determines where you go, heaven or hell. Fear the one that has ultimate authority over the disposition of your eternal soul. Fear God. Hey, Jesus was the one that said, you ought to fear God because he can send you to hell. Don’t sound like the Jesus that they’re preaching nowadays, but that’s the Jesus preached. What I tell you in the dark, speak in the light. What does it tell you? It tells you there’s sometimes when the dark is there. You know what our problem is? We always wanted light. We always want a good word, positive word, happy word, victorious word, company word, encouragement word. If it’s not positive, victorious and victory, it’s not God. Hey, I got a lot of Bible in here which is warnings and judgments and prophecies that were negative.
Jeremiah’s whole ministry was telling people what they didn’t want to hear. What I tell you in the dark, sometimes it gets dark because God‘s just removing all the distractions so you can only see what he shows you and only hear what he says. Let me say it again. What tell you in the darkness, when it seems as though there’s no illumination, that’s the time when God‘s voice becomes clearer because there’s nothing to distract you. What you hear whispered in the ear. Whispered in your ear. Proclaim. Be honest with you. I do media for a living. I love media but the lord told me, said, I’m going to start to anoint your teaching which is why I’m teaching you right now. Lord said, ‘There’s other people that can do media, but not many can actually interpret what’s happening in the light of the word. I want you less focused on what’s going on in the world around you and more focused on what I’m saying to you.’
This is going to be, I’m asking you to pray for me because I love like that. I got a little picture from somebody Rush Limbaugh here. It’s so sweet. Somebody sent it to me for Christmas, I guess. I got to find out who that was. I love Rush, because Rush would interpret current events in a way that would put you in like a prophet-deserting the spirit of politics and the lying media. And he’d expose it and he always reveal what the principles were that would result in prosperity. He honored God, his son, his brother is a strong evangelical Christian. He always gave you hope and oh and I love that, because I listen to his voice and he gave me and listen I got a lot of preacher friends. So, I listen for two or three hours a day, because he gave perspective. Slandered by people that never listened to him, but those that heard him understood he was giving perspective and his perspective was prescient, predictive, prophetic and precise and always optimistic and entertaining.
So, I always wanted, I thought we need a Pentecostal Rush Limbaugh. Well, he had to be immersed in the day’s events and what was going on around him so that he could really speak. Lord told me; I don’t want you immersed in the world’s events. You have to be able to do a dip and a sample to get what’s going on, but I want you to come before me because I’m going to speak to you. How do you come before the Lord? I’ll tell you how you come before the lord. To come before the Lord. I’m going to do a couple of Bible studies with you. So, I’m coming to the keyboard now. Because the Lord said, you enter his gates with Thanksgiving in your heart. You enter his courts with praise. How do you find tune yourself to hear what the spirit saying? How will you identify the constraint you need to deal with?
Well, I’ll tell you. You’re going to have to operate in a different way than the natural. You have to come into his presence. You have to come in to for his throne, and in that place the lord will talk to you. It could be simply one word. Jesus. Jesus. It’s one of the first songs I learned 50 years and 40 years ago. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. Try it with me. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.Remember the great hymn? It is well with my soul. Sometimes you got to get your soul in the right disposition. You got to get it in peace. You have to get it tuned into heaven and unplugged from the chaos around you. When peace like a river attendeth my way and sorrows like seabillows roar whatever Lord, you have taught me to say, even so it is well with my soul and it is well with my soul, it is well, it is well with my soul.
Now you notice how when you come before the Lord with singing. When you come before his presence with Thanksgiving, it changes the frequency of how your soul is tuning into thoughts and ideas. You could say it’s like an antiseptic. Because God‘s presence is a real thing. And his presence is even coming into the place where you are right now. And this year I’m going to teach you how to access the presence, how to hear the voice, and how to align yourself so that you’re manifesting heaven on earth. Be back again at our next Bible study. Talk further about this. Godbless you.
