Unlocking Your Extreme Dream!

Lance: Welcome to the Lance Wallnau Show. We’re back at the old set, the familiar set for those of you who remember the old set and I have my familiar son. Carl is with me tonight. 

Carl: Howdy.

Lance: I say go grab a grab a microphone. Son, we got a show we got to do tonight. We got a live show and tonight’s show is very special because we want to talk to you about the upcoming dream workshops we’re going to be doing. I’m talking about how to understand the dream that God gave you for your life and how to make it happen because we’re going to be doing June 20th to the 22nd. A 3-day immersion Experience is what we call it. 3 days in the Lance Lab to work on what God‘s called you to do, what’s getting in the way of manifesting, what we need to do now that can make a massive difference and cause that vision, that dream to come to pass. I don’t care about what’s going on in the world around us. I was just reading earlier today. Jesus says, “Be anxious for nothing”. He said, do not worry how many of you by thought is going to be able to add a cubic inch to his stature and Jesus is saying, “Take my yoke upon you”.

There is a way in a time of stress, in a time of anxiety to so position your focus that you get under the anointing of Jesus and that anointing goes to work to break anxiety off of you and it and bring out of you the best that’s in you. I would say this, where we were in the American economy before, anybody could prosper that understood money was just flowing out there for pretty much anything but now, you have to know what you’re doing to prosper. “My people perish for lack of knowledge”. We’re going to be doing a Dream Trip on what the knowledge is you have to have in order to prosper in a troubled time. God‘s plan for you is to be a victorious believer. It’s to break anxiety and fear off of you. We should not be living in apprehension of the future. We should be manifesting the future that wants to show up right now.

God has heaven coming to Earth eventually and he’s got brand ambassadors that are supposed be showing what a foretaste of that heaven looks like right now. And so, with that thought in mind,I got a verse that was coming to me right before the broadcast and it’s in first Samuel chapter 10.It’s where Saul is called to do his job. This is the Old Testament Saul is before he goes crazy, he was actually anointed and was going to had his act together. Saul was told that a certain number of signs were going to take place, and one of the sign was that, it shall come to pass that you’re going to come to the hill of God where on the Garrison of a Philistine is. This is first Samuel chapter 10 verse 5.

Kim Clement once told. Kim Clement told me once. He said, notice, the hill of God has a Philistine stronghold on it and I want you to know, you are God‘s hill and it doesn’t mean that the devil doesn’t have a stronghold on how you think. So, it be God‘s hill and something wrong is controlling it. In this case, it would be probably Mount Zion or where the city of David’s going to be and there’s a stronghold there and the Garrison of the Philistines are there. “It will happen that when you come to the city, you’re going to meet a group of prophets. And they’re going to be coming down from a high place with instruments and tambourines and harps before them and they will be prophesying. Then the spirit of the Lord will come upon you and you will prophesy with them and be transformed into another man”.

This is an interesting verse. It seems to read like when the prophetic anointing came upon Saul, Saul was changed. Something was coming upon him and I think this is why we’re all attracted to prophetic things because when we hear prophecy about our future, who we are, what God calls to do, in that moment we start to entertain the hidden potential. We start to think about something about us that has meaning about the future and Prophets could be very very kind of uncanny in what they do. Kim Clement used to write these scrolls and he would fill out scrolls for people and there’s only one that I know of where these very valuable like $70 leather scrolls. He got them from Italy and he write out the prophecy. But he gave you a unique scroll, my son.

Carl: He did.

Lance: What did he give you? What did he write with his scroll?

Carl: Nothing. He gave me a blank one. True story. So yeah, we were doing events up in Rhode Island at the time and he was giving out these scrolls to people and so I muscled my way up to the front and I got one and I was waiting until the end of the session. I was immersed in what was going on. So, I waited until the end to open it up and low and behold, it was blank and I was like, I got robbed of like one of the best possible totems of a prophetic word that I could’ve received from one of the strongest prophetic speakers that I know of in my life. So, I reached out to and was just like, ‘hey Kim, what the heck?’ And he’s like, ‘I’ll get back to you when I can.’So, days turn to weeks, turn to months and I don’t hear anything and then finally get this big box in Texas actually. It was after we had moved.

So, I’d already gone from the northeast back down or back to Texas and open up this big box and there’s this book of blank scrolls and I opened it up inside. He said, the Lord, I beseech the Lordwith prayer basically and here’s what he said. Carl, you have one of the unique opportunities to write your own future. So, write, write your future is bright, bright, bright. So, I have this book of scrolls that’s it’s beautiful canvas. Its leather bound and yeah so now I have this this book that I filled up partially up until this point but I still have a lot of blank pages to fill in.

Lance: Wow. Write, write, write.

Carl: Your future is bright.

Lance: Bright, bright, bright but he literally, the Lord gave you a blank canvas and said like a blank check instead of fill it in.

Carl: Indeed.

Lance: “Let it be”. Samuel said the Prophet, “That the spirit of the Lord will come upon you and you will be turned into another man”. And so, it was verse nine says that, ‘When he had turned his back to go from Samuel that God gave Saul another heart and all those signs came to pass”. God gave him another heart. That God can give you a different heart. God can give you a different desire, different disposition and that the prophetic when that prophetic spirit comes upon you, you’ll be turned into another man. This thing about transformation is what we’re going to be looking at in June 20, 21 and 22 and use the word immersion. I like that term because I think that in order to really get what you got to get, you got to immerse yourself in the material. There’re two things Carl that we know are agents of transformation. One of them is immersion and what’s the other?

Carl: Neuroplasticity?

Lance: The community.

Carl: Oh yes, the community.

Lance: You taught me this yourself. You told me this.

Carl: I said, these are two. I didn’t say these are the two but alright, fair enough.

Lance: I see. Well, anyway, he told me before the show over here, he said, you know, the people you’re hanging out with, the community is so true that the people that you surround yourself with have a powerful effect on your ability to reinforce the changes that you want to make.

Carl: I’m thinking of Jim Rohn right now, right? I can’t remember if it’s in five pieces to the life puzzle or seven strategies for wealth and happiness. But he talks about the difference between you today and you next month are the books you read, the shows you watch, the people you meet, the conversations you have. So, all of these things are edifying and they’re nutrition that create you as you continue to go through life. So, who you are surrounding yourself with will absolutely reflect your own identity moving forward. And that includes all of the things that you’re purchasing or procuring or just digesting from streaming platforms like this one.

Lance: Yeah, it’s so true and what’s really interesting is I watched a TedTalk where the guy was looking at data and he had this data points that were moving around on the map and they were clustering around in different places. He said, he began his research when he was Looking at how the widow effect takes place, which is when people that have been married for a long time when one spouse dies it’s frequently the case that the other one dies within twenty-four months afterward.

Carl: Right.

Lance: And it’s called like the Widow Effect. He said, how is it that your association with someone can actually terminate your lifespan unless you can somehow move on you actually exit close to when they exit. And so, he’s looked at the data on that and he said it anomaly but then he looked at other patterns that were equally disturbing. So, for instance, I think the other one was that if you, if two out of three of your closest friends are obese you will be obese also.

Carl: Highly likely. But that also speaks towards eating habits and other lifestyle habits and all that stuff.

Lance: I’m sure that there’s for instance if you got two or three friends that are obese they probably have bad eating habits and if you’re with them at Cracker Barrel all the time then you’re going to start looking like.

Carl: Hey, listen they’re one of our sponsors this week. Let’s not. And I’m just kidding.

Lance: We love Cracker Barrel. But the point that I’m making is that the data sets say, so for instance I started looking at this in terms of principalities, powers, dominions, and world wars. I looked at in terms of like, I look at like the 7 Mountains of culture and I said, well, there are certain places like you take New York City or Manhattan or Hollywood. There’s even spaces that are geographically shaped and sure enough on this map that it starts to show how conservatives cluster in certain geographies and liberals and progressive cluster in certain geographies. I began to say, maybe is there’s a dance between the two. The spirit realm and the natural like a magnetic drawing together, so that there is this attraction factor that is playing on you. And if you’re in New York and you’re trying to stand alone as a strong conservative or I have friends of mine that have begun into the entertainment field. Started off as Christians and conservatives ended up becoming non-Christians and extremely progressive. But I look at the massive pressure of the environment that they’re under and the pressure to conform.

So, let’s talk about you can change and your soul, mindful and emotions. You’re be transformed by the renewing of your mind. The prophetic has the power to make a change, but Saul didn’t stay changed. Saul ended up a legacy, a warning almost of what not to do. So, let’s talk about this idea and now you mention neuroplasticity. Alright, give me an idea like Caroline, tell me what Caroline Leaf says about that.

Carl: A lot. So, Doctor Caroline Leaf has some amazing research on neuroplasticity. She has this curriculum or course that’s who switched off my brain which is really cool. Uh fascinating research on the brain’s ability to change and adapt to different situations. So, it’s not always the case that brains can’t, brains can’t always change but it’s not always the case that people have all of the ability change them on their own. For instance, I’m reminded of I believe his name is Phineas Gage, one of the first neurological studies in America. This gentleman was working on the railroad. TNT blew up some barb, some laid metal and it went through his head and so his personality was forever changed after that.

So, although he had the ability potentially to neuroplastically change and alter his mind, he didn’t actually have the wherewithal to know how to do that. So, having the awareness of the area that you want to change is one of the first steps in addressing neuroplastic change. Having that awareness is almost a precursor to having the change take place.

Lance: So, what I want to talk about for a moment is how to immerse yourself in the environment that will facilitate the changes you want to see made in your life, and what are the tools and techniques for being able to accelerate that agreement. Because the transformation comes by the renewing of your mind. The Word of God, the spirit of God in certain environments produces a, I think a greater profound, it’s almost like I’ve watched it, I don’t want to be self-serving but I’ve seen in my life when it works and when it doesn’t work. When I’m ministering there’s certain times when I know that the Lord is speaking to me and it’s as though the other person becomes wax. And in that moment, God enables me to speak prophetically or a message or a teaching that I can see goes into the soft plasticity or moldability of their inner man and their vulnerability, and I can imprint a fought from God on the inside of them.

It’s a very great and a very priceless and a very powerful privilege when you understand how to move in the gifts that can speak to people words of life. Because words can also carry death but if you can catch people at a moment when God is prophetically preparing them, you can imprint on them identity who you really are and what you’re called to do and who God has called you to be. If you can be around right people, in the right prophetic environment, at the right time and immerse yourself, you can have a strategic upgrade and the neuroplasticity, the adjustment in your own brain, your own thinking can be accelerated.

I want you to look at this first Samuel chapter 9 verse 18. I’m on this theme tonight of Saul and Samuel for a reason. Samuel answered and said to Saul, “I am the seer”. Saul had lost donkeys. Saul had lost the family. Well, the family secret to their prosperity in the first century and in this period of time this period was that the animals literally were the farm vehicles. If you lost the animals oxen for instance you lost the ability to handle the terrain of your farm, you could starve.So, donkeys were like that and so the family had lost these donkeys that had wandered off. This is interesting. God had allowed the loss of the donkeys in order to put Saul in pursuit of the prophet so that Saul could find the prophet to go seek him to say, you’re a seer. You’re known for seeing things. Can you tell me where to go to find the family’s lost farm equipment?

And what Samuel says is interesting. Samuel answers Saul and says “I’m the seer”. Go up before me to the high place for you shall eat with me today and tomorrow, I’ll let you go and will tell you everything that is in your heart young man. Now as for your donkeys, you lost them three days ago the Lord shows me. Do not be anxious about them because they’ve already been found. The donkeys are already found. They’re back at your house”. Three days ago, you lost them. Don’t worry about them. You know why you’re here? You’re here to meet with God. And I’m here to tell you who you really are. What a great story. I got goosebumps. God can be in the problem of your life so that it drives you to seek a solution for your life where God meets you in the solution and prepares you for your future.

God can be in the loss in order to lead you to recover more than you lost. So that when you meet Jesus, he gives you the identity, the direction, the purpose, the upgrade of who you are and what you’re called to do. And this is what the prophetic is particularly therefore so many of us are sorry to say seduced by the prophetic in terms of what’s going to happen in America, what’s going to happen in the economy. Does that really matter to you?

Carl: It’s kind of it.

Lance: Well yeah, let me put it back.

Carl: A little bit to me.

Lance: Let’s put it this way what matters more isn’t what’s going to happen out there, but what matters more is what’s going to happen with you, and you’re in of making your way prosperous. You’re in charge of finding the path God has for you in the midst of the chaos and so that’s the reason why this Dream Trip. June 20th through 22nd is so important. We’re all going to be doing this for like 200 to 300 people. We limit it on purpose because I want a remnant sufficient small enough so that I can work with them. These 5,000, 6,000 people meetings are electric but I’m not individually and personally able to look people in the eye and process them and help them come into some form of an experience. Carl: We got it pulled up. Yes, sir.

Lance: So, your agreements shape your life. Your agreements authorize your experience. And Carl, are you as into this as I am? I know that you’re my son and you’ve heard my teaching, but I mean I was really impacted by flip–flip it’s teaching on constraint theory which is because he has data. He’s driven by data. This guy is like, he’s got an analyst on his team and he himself is an analyst. But I mean they could find out 40 or so psychometric scales of performance what makes the best quarterback what makes the best CEO of $100 million corporation. I want to share with you guys some of these keys, because they found that there’s certain combinations of characteristics that actually equate to this. It isn’t like some general theme. It’s a very specific combinations of characteristics and let’s say for instance, I’ll give you the one on the CEOs. They have as a characteristic 50–or–49% of what’s called the deference factor and so difference is the degree of ego attachment you have to being right.

Now, if you’re an entrepreneur many times or a prophet, you have to have a real thick skin, maybe even an evangelist. There’s certain professions and callings where you have to be able to stand alone and don’t care what other people think. Well, you probably are you might have a very low difference. Meaning, you’re right, they’re wrong, and you’ll prove it.

Carl: Yup.

Lance: Because you’re up against the world. That’s an entrepreneur. I’ll prove you wrong. I’ll show you. My idea is going to work. The challenge is on that one scale out of 44 psychometric scales. That one critical scale, problem is the higher up you go in terms of investment and success the more…

Carl: the C Suite.

Lance: More the more C suite you are. Right. The more you need a team of competent associates it’s like you know classic Kiyosaki thing. You know you’re going to need to have a financial guy.

Carl: Right.

Lance: You’re going to need to have a lawyer. You’re going to need to have a PR person. You’re going to have to have a marketing person. You’re going to have to have a tech person.

Carl: Yeah.

Lance: You’re going to have to have a sharp team. Now if you’re still the opinionated leader that always knows more than everyone else, that may get you to the place of being a breakthrough person but that won’t keep you there because what’s interesting in Flip’s data is you have to move from being low deference like 7%, 8% of the time. I agree with other people, 90% of the time, they’re wrong, I’ll prove it. You have to move to a 50% of the time. I’m willing to defer to the wisdom of another person’s argument and fifty of the time I’m willing to listen to all my team and overrule them, because I’ve heard them but I’m convinced for the following reasons this can still work. That means you’re not you’re not surrendering your leadership ability to the team to tell you what to do. You’re actually half the time overruling, but all the time you’re listening.

Carl: Is it a 50% or was its 49%49%?

Lance: Its 49/50.

Carl: What you’re seeing here ladies and gentlemen is a low deference.

Lance: No, it’s not low scientific data. My low point was I’m not interested in the specificity. I’m interested in the grand idea.

Carl: Right, right. It’s the Colin Powell idea, right? On you can make any decision with 70% of the information. Anything beyond that, you’re just going to be analysis paralysis.

Lance: Yeah, that’s a good point.

Carl: You got the gist down which is fine.

Lance: That’s right. That’s right.

Carl: Yeah.

Lance: And 68.4% of statistics quoted on this show are made up on the spot.

Carl: That sounds like a Mark Twain quote. There’s live damn lies and then there’s statistics.

Lance: Yeah. Hey, I’m going to walk over to the board. Is it, my I’m realizing I’m doing a show here? I forgot to tell my crew. I’m going to go walk over to the board.

Carl: Okay.

Lance: I’m going to show you something.

Carl: Awesome. One little bit of fun trivia for those interested is that the majority of millennials about 80% statistically that one is relatively researched data driven. 80% of millennials are comfortable sharing their psychographics online. So, that’s a fun little stat which is way higher than the boomer generation. So fun little stat for you.

Lance: What does that mean? What does that actually mean Carl?

Carl: That means that people who are millennials are comfortable sharing their psychographics. So, all the data points that you just mentioned as far as deference as far as basically their sociability whether they’re task oriented to pull from disc theory. They’re comfortable sharing their disc personality assessments, their enneagrams, their Myers break.

Lance: Let me ask you a question. This is spontaneous and live. We’re going to be doing go to “Lancewallnau.com/DreamTrip” to find about the three days of intense. We’re going to be doing this stuff. I mean we’re going to be This is where the juices for transformation in my opinion. Alright, so here’s what I want to talk about. What the Lord wants to do is prophetically He wants you to be able to have an upgraded identity. That’s your identity. And this is like a like I think of a table.

Carl: Yeah.

Lance: And the way that that works is you have to have some new reference experiences. So,what happens is if you’re going to be for instance, if you’re going to be ministering healing, you’re going to have to have an experience where you’re praying for someone and healing happens. You have to have an experience where you’re praying for someone and healing habits. This is Mario Murillo. When I look at anybody that has mastery, they have Multiple reference experiences for doing what they do well. And if you’ve never done something new, you have to create those experiences for yourself and you have to be comfortable being uncomfortable till you get those experiences done. Does that make sense to you?

Those reference experiences help to provide you with another way of seeing who you really are.So, for instance, if you got the gift of the ability to be a persuasive communicator, you may get up and stumble but you’ve got to go to the experience till you get it right. Then you got to go to the experience you can repeat. A professional can deliver the results regardless of how they feel. The amateur is inconsistent in getting the results and the amateur can be affected by the weather, by the mood, by their wife, but you ever notice that the incredible consistency and focus and clarity of somebody who is really going to they do. It’s because they’ve done it so much. It’s woven into their identity. Does that make sense?

So, the identity for somebody can be at the level of let’s go take a look at a stronghold or you want to build a belief about yourself that is really strong. On one level you have an opinion. Well, I think I’m capable. I think I’m smart. I think I’m able. I think I can do it. Well, that opinion can be contradicted by a contradicting experience. You go higher up and it’s like, no, I’ve got a belief about something. People that have beliefs are stronger than people that have opinions. But the people that are the most locked in for better or for worse are people that have a conviction about something. When you have a conviction about something you ain’t going to change. You’re an evangelist about that. That level there is the level you want to get at in terms of 100% absolute certainty on who you are and what God‘s called you. Do you have to have a conviction about your assignment, a conviction about your destiny, a conviction about your salvation.

It can’t just be an opinion and it can’t just be a loosely held belief. An opinion is shaped by other people. A belief is shaped by your references but a conviction is shaped by experience. And it produces a greater level of authority. I want you to be able to have an upgraded identity. I want you to have new experiences this year as to who you are what you’re capable of so that you can become a confident carrier of the convictions that God wants to put in you that you can imprint into other people. So, Carl, what’s one way that people can strengthen their new beliefs?

Carl: Well, like you said, with reference experiences by creating an environment for them to show up as this new identity consistently moving forward.

Lance: So, one way that you do is you got to create a supportive community. You need to be around other people that are going to support you in your new identity. This is one reason why when you do Weight Watchers, you do these probes, you start with a group that cheers you on and also you do you measure results together, don’t you?

Carl: Absolutely, you do.

Lance: That if you’re really interested in solidifying the change. You get really clear about the change you want to make. You create new reference experiences so that you can lock in how to do it right so you get a feeling of the right way to do it and then you start to support that by having other people hold you accountable. Other people remind you of who you are. Other people give you feedback on where you’re at. Because the positive thing is you need people that will speak to your potential and tell you in an affirming way. What it is you that God has put his hand on you to do and to speak sincerely and accurately into your capacity and to your identity.But you also need to have people that’ll tell you when you’re not living up to that identity and when you’re not living up to that full potential. You’ll Never grow beyond the feedback that you embrace and the greatest way to grow actually is to be open to accurate feedback and then conscientious about developing. I can’t believe we ran out of all this time right here.

Carl: It’s good content. It’s really good content.
