Underground Christian Reveals Shocking Truth About Iran’s Riots

Lance: Welcome, welcome to the Lance Wallnau Show, from Coast to Coast. We appreciate all of you that are making this program. What it is? It’s you guys that are doing it. We have like 800,000 or so downloads a month. It’s exciting and plus, we’re back on YouTube. I don’t know if I’m on my own name or if I’m using an assume name. I have a special guest today that’s going to blow your mind. It’s just going to blow your mind. Let me tell you something how I learned about this moment is a fulfillment of something for me very personal. Years ago, I was called to do an event for the United Nations and I went to a university and I had all my Christian material.Somehow, they had heard me deliver speech and it was a secular environment. So, they thought I was going to come in and do training for a group of scientists on helping them become more effective communicators. 

That was my assignment, but I had all my Christian material. And when I got there, the head of the university said, you can’t use this material because the university is secular and it doesn’t have a religious worldview. And besides that, the people that are going to be in there are Iranian scientists, Chinese scientists. In fact, they’re the Middle East. There’s not a single Christian or Catholic or Protestant in the room. They’re all Muslims or Hindu or communist. And they ask me this question, are you able to teach what you teach and not sound religious? And it was such a fascinating conversation can I teach the Bible without sounding religious. I said, yes, I can but of course I said to myself, man, I’m talking to Christians for so long I hope I can do that.

So, I did my course and I talked to them I remember saying at the end of it we became friends in the class. I said to the students there, 29 PhDs in the class and I said to them. Look at us, you’re from China and North and Iran, were the two countries I remember in the room. I said look at our media. They make us to be enemies. But now that we’re together we’re actually friends. We’re not enemies. And somehow, we’ve got to get past the stereotype manipulation of governments and media and see each other as human beings building mutually emphatic friendships. Because now what I hear of war with China or war with Iran. I’m thinking I hope my friends okay. And this must have touched them in a unique way. Because when the class was over, they came up the Chinese communist scientist came up shook my hand and hugged me and whispered in my ear and said these words. “The leaders in my country need this teaching.” And I put the piece of paper in my pocket, I didn’t know what it was. Then the Iranian scientist came up. They said, “The leaders in my country need this teaching”.

I was teaching the kingdom and I put the paper in my pocket. And after we left, I thought that’s so strange. What did they give me? And I looked at it and it was their personal contact information, because they had secure internet because they’re working for the United Nations. I realized they were saying let’s stay connected. I like you. We’re friends. Well today I happened to have a brother with me, who is a leader in the movement in Iran or Iran. I never know how to pronounce; my Israeli friends call it Iran. So, leader in Iran who represents for many of you hear Iran in the news. It’s in the news this week because of riots taking place. During the week of Rosh Hashanah, I’ve been talking about the riots but now we’re going to go behind the scenes and you’re going to hear a brother.

If you are a Christian, this is a Christian brother from Iran. This is the reason why the movement of Jesus has to transcend political parochial media manipulated conversations. We have to see the kingdom of God is bigger than the narrow interest of political countries in competition. Brother X, I’m going to call you brother X to protect you. Try to digitize you and your voice. But thank you for being with us here and thanks for joining us and thank you for, does it take a great deal of courage to do what you do. I mean people always telling me thanking me for being courageous, but I don’t think I’m nearly as courageous as you are. It takes a lot of courage to do what you do. I mean they don’t like people like you in in Iran.

Brother X: Oh, no we can faces that penalty to get executed for what we do.

Lance: My gosh. Alright, so there’s we know the riots are happening right now if we’re paying attention not narcissically preoccupied with the latest goofy headline that we always follow. Can you explain to us what exactly is happening on the streets in 100 cities, I said in an earlier broadcast there’s uprisings happening? What is going on?

Brother X: So, because of a girl named Massa was killed by the morality police for basically showing a few strands of her hair. It has started riots all over Iran especially with women that they’re burning their headscarves. They’re burning their [INAUDIBLE 05:21] in protest to Islam first and then to the government.

Lance: Wow. Tell me about the morality police. So, who are the morality police? They’re actually the guard, right?

Brother X: No, so the morality police is police that controls morality, Islamic morality and they usually come out especially in the summer because of course Iran is hot and the women wear less clothes in a sense. So, they’re definitely out in the summer where the women have to cover up to their wrists. And they have to cover their hair. And they have to have at least a long coat that goes all the way to their ankles. And when not, when these girls are not dressed properly,they will cite them or take them to the detention center where Massa died she died in the detention center.

Lance: How are they treated in the detention centers? That sounds to me like a prison jail situation.

Brother X: So, one is when they’re getting taken, they’re usually beat right there. So, Massa suffered her brain injury there. She was hit with a baton and then she inside the van was beat some more and then once they get to the detention center, it’s kind of like a reprogramming and they have to basically sign their life away saying they’ll never break this rule again. If they do, a very harsh penalty will be served to them.

Lance: I’m trying to sort this out. I’m told that women are beaten, killed, raped.

Brother X: Right, the morality police actually the leader of this Security apparatus was caught raping a 15-year-old girl and the Imam of that city said it was legal because these people are against Islam and against the country. So now because of that [INAUDIBLE 07:18] that imam said, it’s open a pandora box. Now all the men who are in the security apparatus can legally rape girls and it’s legal.

Lance: Is this widespread? Does everybody in the country like know this?

Brother X: Oh yeah.

Lance: They know it?

Brother X: Oh yes, because of what Instagram for a time being and Twitter, they’re seeing this happen yet.

Lance: I was told that the internet was shut down by the state apparatus.

Brother X: It is. So, it’s been shut down for the last 5 days. Especially it’s still shut down. I cannot speak to my leaders right now.

Lance: There are things we don’t understand about, I hear the church growth is happening at anexponential rate in Iran and I don’t know if it’s true. You’re the first person I could verify with,because I hear stuff all the time in the States. We call a lot of fake news. I never know what’s true. What’s happening with the underground church?

Brother X: So, I don’t know if you know Lance, but Iran is the fastest growing church in the world.

Lance: Oh, so it is true.

Brother X: And Afghanistan is the second fastest which is part of the Persian speaking world.

Lance: Afghanistan is part of the Persian speaking. Okay, so now, here’s a major reset for us. You were talking to me about the role of Persia in the Bible and that would be modern Iran and I think this would be an excellent opportunity for my American audience to be able to reframe when we talk about Iran what it’s going on. Because evidently Persia as I recall, I wrote a whole book on Cyrus and because I thought the Lord told me that modern day political leaders such as Trump when be modern day Cyrus’s for the sake of God‘s people. Which would include Christians in Iran. Tell me about the connection between Persia and God‘s purposes in the Bible.

Brother X: So, it’s very interesting. Iran is having a revival as we speak right now. But there’s a biblical mandate for this and it starts in Genesis. God said to Abraham, “I will bless those that bless you and I will curse those that curse you”. So, this is God‘s first foreign policy. He can say in the Bible. And so, the only people group in the Bible that bless the Jews in the Old Testament and in the New are the Persian. Nehemiah got the permission to build a wall from a Persian king called Darius. Ezra got the money to build the temple from a Persian king named Darius. Esther one night with the king was with a Persian king. Daniel when he gets the revelation that Jesus is going to come. He tells the Babylonians but the law says he tell, the Persians. Daniel is buried in Iran. Habakkuk is buried in Iran Esther buried in Iran. Mordecai is buried in Iran.

Now the three wise men, they weren’t Americans, Mexicans and Canadians. They were the Persians because one of the first religion in Persia was saying that God is a star. Sounds familiar right. So, in the book of Acts when Pentecost happens, the first three people group that received the Holy Spirit are the Persians, Northern Persians, the Ilmenites, Southern Persians, and the Meets, the Greatest Persians. So, we were the first people group to receive the Holy Spirit. But the ultimate thing that’s happening right now is in Jeremiah 49:35–39, which says. “In the latter days I will destroy your kings and queens and I will set my throne inside of Elam”. Which is present day Persia. So, we know that Jesus is going to reign from Jerusalem but he’s going to have Airbnb inside of Iran.

Lance: And it shall come to pass in the latter day, I will bring back the captives of Elam, says the Lord. Yep, you’re right. I will set my throne in Elam and will destroy from there the king and the princess. What does that mean?

Brother X: So, in 1979, we had a revolution that threw the king out. So, what it means is Godhas fulfilled that part. Now he’s setting his throne inside of Elam. So, what that means is Jesus is coming in dreams, visions, and power counters. He’s making a mess of the country and we’re just the queen of crew.

Lance: So, the church is an underground church. How does a church exist in that world? Is it houses?

Brother X: Yeah, they’re only in houses.

Lance: They’re in houses.

Brother X: What we see in in the Book of Acts is a house church network with the corporate expression and that’s how it is inside of Iran.

Lance: What’s going on with the mosques?

Brother X: So, I have been inside for many years and I have pictures that all the mosques are empty. That no one is following Islam and what you see on Fox News and other channels is not the true news. No one is following Islamic side of Iran. So, you hear Iran is exporting radical Shiite Islam, but the funny thing is Jesus is being imported in and many people in droves are coming to Christ left and right.

Lance: What percentage? So, tell me about the Shiite. So, the Shiite is the dominant Muslim expression in Iran. Can you explain the Shiite Suni division to an American?

Brother X: Shiites are like Catholics. We have a pope. We have books outside the Bible. We have shrines. We have saints. Sunnis are like Protestants. They only believe in Muhammad and the Quran. So that’s the big difference between Shiites and Sunnis.

Lance: Yeah. Well, that certainly makes it relatable.

Brother X: Sound understandable.

Lance: Alright. So, the structure then that we’re looking at with the clerics. Looks like the clergy is very dominant over there like the eye of toll and everything. Are they a political party now? I mean is that this is a government religion, a religious government that is the clerics, or are they actually practicing faith, religion, or is it more political?

Brother X: It’s both. We are technically a theocracy. The supreme leader who’s the pope in our eyes hears from God and is running the based on what God has told them. And after 40 years of this rule, Iran has the highest addiction rate in the world, has the highest divorce rate in the Middle East, used to have the highest brain drain, which meant that a 150,000 Iranians would leave the country every year. So, my question to you Lance is if the smart ones are leaving, who’s running the country?

Lance: Right. It seems as though the United States made a colossal mistake. I remember listening to Rudy Giuliani, a New York mayor years ago, who was very sympathetic to the revolution, the Democratic Revolution was a word, some words were used. He described it as a Democratic Revolution, where the people were seeking from the west some support and some help. I guess it would be Obama’s administration. They really closed the door on that. Give me give me your Perspective as a brother. What was the geopolitical moment there because I think we wrote to Giuliani; we made a historic misalignment and we shut down and discouraged what was actually a very pure and potentially powerful movement?

Brother X: So, Iran is the most Americanized country in the Middle East. They love American culture. They love American beliefs. They love American values. Let me say this Lance, when the Beatles went to India, they stopped in Iran. They didn’t stop in Israel. They didn’t stop in Saudi, they stopped in Iran. So, this is how western Iran was. And so, back in 2009 yeah Obama made the biggest blunder in the world, because Iranians are really the only country I see because I travel all over the Middle East that can understand the complexities and actually the responsibilities of having a democratic government. And so, 2009 when the Green Revolution was happening which I was inside.

Lance: The Green Revolution. I’m sorry. So, that was the term that Giuliani used.

Brother X: The Green Revolution was happening. Iranians were super ready. Like ready for Obama to do something. Unfortunately, what he did is he appeased the Iranian government and gave them billions of dollars. And so, Iran as you know, I always say this is Iran has won 5 wars under sanction. Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and Yemen. Or let me say it another way for the Christians. Iran’s the mega church and these countries are the satellite churches of Iran. So back to your point yeah, Obama made a huge wander. This is why right now Iranians this riot will probably end, because after 2009 Iran props Assad. With the whole world against it, But Iran by itself propped Assad and Syrian. He’s still in power. So Irani’s aren’t stupid. They’re like how can we have a revolution against this government that propped, Assad when America, Israel, everyone was against Assad and Assad is still in power.

Lance: So, there may be a brain drain, but there’s a certain cunning ruthlessness that keeps them in power in Iran. And what do you see as the future when you have a growing Christian population you have a populous the revulsion at the morality police and you have a declining interest actually in mosque faith. Where do you think this is going to be going?

Brother X: I think it’s going to be like the Book of Acts. The Book of Acts basically happened under a Tatarian wicked government and it grew like fire. I think this is going to be the same inside of Iran. Iran has a perfect storm happening, political unrest, social unrest, economic unrest, and religious unrest and it’s the perfect storm for the gospel. The gospel will go like fire like it is in Iran and in Afghanistan.

Lance: But they don’t have guns. So, you’ve got all these citizens that are up against a brutal regime that is armed and there’s no real way for them to overthrow that, is there?

Brother X: Jesus can overthrow it. They don’t need guns.

Lance: How do you see that happening?

Brother X: Prayer. God will move. Again, the situation in Iran is perfect for the gospel. So, one thing I believe Lance is this is that I rather have someone have hell on earth and go to heaven than heaven on earth and go to hell. So right now, it’s hell on earth in Iran or even Afghanistan,but people are coming in droves to Christ. So back to your question. Again, we don’t hear about the prince of America. We don’t hear about the prince of China. We don’t hear about the prince of Russia but we hear about the prince of Persia in Daniel. So, as you saw when Daniel prayed and fast, Michael came and moved in, moved the prince of Persia out of his position, would that can happen again?

Lance: Well, better articulated by you than anybody else because you’re actually on the front lines watching it happen. So, if you had to say something to the American church and of course you get to do a little bit of that here, what would your message be? What can we do to support our brothers and sisters?

Brother X: Prayer, if you guys aren’t praying, a lot more people are going to die. A lot of people are going to get tortured. My wife could get raped. So, prayers important. Once again look at the book of Daniel is through prayer and fasting that moves the principalities in the spiritual realm.So, I would definitely ask Americans to pray and then also God is moving inside of Iran. Iran is like the hot spot of the Holy Spirit right now, so come and join where God is moving. Russia had its time, China had its time, Eastern Europe had its time. But right now, is the time of Iran in the whole Middle East. There’s the biggest revival happening in the Middle East since the Islamic conquest. So, my message to America and the churches in America is come join us and see what the lord is doing.

Lance: Can you tell me a story about Jesus showing up? Because I’m always hearing about Jesus showing up in dreams and stuff in the Muslim world. But I never get to verify. Is this a fact?

Brother X: This is a fact, I can tell you a very personal story about my wife.

Lance: Okay.

Brother X: So, my wife was born in Iran. At the age of 3, [INAUDIBLE 22:08]. At the age of 5, started reading the Quran. At the age of 9, memorized the Quran and was so in love with Godand the God they showed was Allah. At the age of 13, she went to Islamic fundamentalist school. At the age of 17, she became an evangelist for Islam and also became religious police that we’re hearing about right now. At the age of 23, her mom is diagnosed with MS and when my wife sees this, she tries to kill herself. Because she’s like, I’ve been doing everything you wanted Allah and this is the results of this. So a few months later her mom’s MS goes, so her mom’s MS became so advanced that she lost control of her legs, her eyes were drooping and she was drooling. The doctors told my wife that she only has three months to live. So, when she heard this news, she tried to kill herself again.

So, when she did this her mom’s like, look, I’m dying, you want to kill yourself, let’s kill each other. So, they make a suicide path, Lance crazy, right. So, they kicked the father out, they kicked the sister out. On a Thursday night, they’re watching a satellite broadcast inside of Iran and the pastor says, my brothers and sisters, those that want to kill themselves tonight, those that are depressed I want to speak to you tonight, because Jesus wants to change your life. So, she stops right there as she’s about to pop the sleeping pills and turn on the natural gas. She’s like I’m going to call these infidels, prove to them that Jesus is dead and not God and then kill myself to say that Allah when she goes sees Allah and says, I did everything you ask and even with my last breath, I served you.

So, she calls the program and the pastor speaks to my mother-in-law, and after 20 minutes she comes to Christ and my wife [INAUDIBLE 23:54], how dare you blasphemy Muhammad, you idiot, I’m going to kill myself. She’s about to take the pills and her mom’s like, look, my last wish before you kill yourself is you speak to the pastor. So, she’s like fine. She speaks to the pastor and after two hours, he cannot convince my wife to come to Christ. So, he said this, look, you’ve been serving Allah all your life and the fruit of it is you’re depressed, suicidal, your mom has MS, she’s dying. You guys want to kill yourself, give Jesus one week and if he doesn’t do anything, go ahead and kill yourself. So, she said, fine.

So, this is her sinner’s prayer Lance. I will do this stupid prayer, then live on satellite with a gun. I will kill myself to prove that Jesus is dead. Amen. So, she hangs up the phone and at 3 in the morning, she hears her mom screaming and she jumps up thinking that the MS has hit her lungs and she sees her mom walking perfectly in the house. They run to the hospital and they do a blood work and MRI and they said, there’s no MS in her body. so, they asked my wife, because she was super religious. What Imam? Remember the saints, did you pray to? She said I didn’t pray to any imam. I prayed to Jesus and immediately she brought 5 people to Christ right there.

Lance: Would you share with them what they need to do to have the same experience as your wife and you, to live a victorious life under the pressure that you’re under? Share with them whatthey can do to experience the same salvation?

Brother X: I think the best thing and this is what we do in the Middle East specially to say, Jesus, show me yourself. Prove yourself to me and he will. I mean, God sent his son. Jesus died for the sinner. You don’t think he can come in a dream and a vision and a power counter and he does this. So, I would it’s such a simple prayer. We don’t even need you to do a sinner’s prayer. Just say, Jesus if you’re really God prove it. And watch what he does.

Lance: This is so intriguing to me. Is this what is characteristic of how you guys do yourevangelism in Iran?

Brother X: Yeah, Jesus…

Lance: Basically, challenge people to see if Jesus is real?

Brother X: Actually, we don’t need to challenge them. Jesus comes in a power counter every time. What if I told you, it was 100%.

Lance: What do you mean? He comes in a power encounter every time.

Brother X: A supernatural encounter. It could be a dream, it could be a vision, it could be a healing, it could be a sign, a wonder. Every time is a supernatural encounter and then they say this to me. We know Allah. This is not Allah. Tell me who this person is and now we say, oh it’s Jesus.

Lance: Oh my gosh. I love this. This is very rich. Alright, we’re out of time. I know this went fast, didn’t it? Went fast for me.
