I used to do that at night. Now, I’m doing, I’m paying airtime because I want to start to get this out there. My real goal is to get out in secular. Lance: I know and we’re going to do it. Annabelle’s ministry, I talk about it, a lot but we got like over 1,000 beds that have gone into single parents’ homes and the children and the furnishing these families. Christmas day is probably the best day of the year for me and Annabelle we’ve been having fun at Christmas for 37 years we’ve been married.

Annabelle: Yes, but we had fun when we weren’t married.

Lance: That’s true. We were dating for years. But I had a problem because I would never measure Christmas trees and I would always bring home trees that didn’t fit the house and so we had this running joke where on the ceiling we had these X’s in lines of green. For me, sticking evergreen trees and you sure that’s going to fit? I said, of course it’s got to fit. But after you put them inside those little pots, right? And because you got those little metal things, right?

Annabelle: Yeah.

Lance: You have water in them. Well, it raises them up a couple of inches. Next thing you know I had to push it into there. So, we had this tree with a bend like that into the top and I did it every year for like 3 years we had all these X’s of green going on the ceiling that I do it here in Texas too.

Annabelle: We don’t use a real tree here. Texas ceilings are really high compared to Rhode Island.

Lance: Yes, true yeah.

Annabelle: Not much higher.

Lance: That’s true. So, anyway but Christmas was always the time of year when I was always the most excited. I still feel like today even though many of you might be alone. So, it really doesn’t matter even if you’re alone you could that time. The fact that you’re with us right now is meaningful to us because you’re sharing this time here and I want to make this worth your while. So, I pray right away that the spirit of the Lord is going to be upon you. That God will be visiting you as he is visiting us right here and that we’re connected together by the spirit. One of the most intense worship experiences I had two years ago was in my study. I just kind of grabbed a little candle and I lit it and I sat down with my Kurtzweil keyboard and put my little phone there. This is so bizarre. An iPhone, right? And stuck it on table and just played and sang. But after a while you realize my gosh there’s thousands of people watching this and you become a little bit self-conscious, because it’s got no production value. It’s got no voice value. But it was…

Annabelle: Anointed.

Lance: But it was anointed. So, you got to go by what God‘s anointed, rather the anointing I guess than have production quality and no spirit of God. But maybe we’ll do that again at some point in time. But I want you guys to turn to your Bible Matthew chapter 2, because I covered last night the shepherds abiding in the field keeping watch over the flock by night and the angel of the Lord came upon them. Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, in the days of Herod the King, Magi. Now that word Magi is a cast of wise men specializing in astronomy,astrology and natural science. It’s group of kind of like mystic scholars that would look at the stars and they would look at history and they would try to link together natural science with the constellations what they did. And there was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the King Jesus, and then Magi came from or Maggai and I have to look up what that I’ve only called Magi. You should probably check it out. Some interesting things accurate.

From the east arrived in Jerusalem saying where is he who’s been born king of the Jews for, we saw his star in the east and have come to worship him. I watch one of those interesting specials like Nova on TV. I believe, it was the astrologers astronomers rather and astrologers who were like the in the modern-day Magi. They were saying that at the time of Jesus birth there was a once in a 1000-year, 2000-year kind of like constellation where in the house of Pisces they said,in the stars that there was a star rising up to the very pinnacle of the house and that it was that that one sign of that moving of that star into that position was the sign that a ruler was being born on the earth that would be the ruler of all rulers.

Annabelle: Wow.

Lance: And so, the Magi in the East who are watching that. Remember that these were individuals who were trained in Persia by Daniel. So, these are not like just kind of like some kind of odd weird Gentile group. This is actually a company that were of the school of Daniel who was an intercessor prophet of his own, right. So, there was this this anticipation of what was coming and when that star rose in the house of Pisces, they were moving towards trying to find out where exactly it was going to be when it lined up. And it took them, the star took them to Herod which is kind of interesting. So, they end up going to Herod, who is as you know the Gentile political bloodthirsty ruler who had negotiated his territory with the Caesars in order to have it. So, he says, so they go to him and they say, where’s he who was born king of the Jews.Imagine what this sounds like. If you’re the head of the Chinese Communist Party and somebody comes into your country and says, where’s the new ruler of China, we’ve just done seen his star.

Well, I ain’t going to go down so well. They say, we saw his star in the east and have come to worship him. This isn’t even meet him. It’s kind of like they’re going to be devoted to him. When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled. This wasn’t good news to him and all Jerusalem with him. Gathering together all the chief priests, the scribes, the people he inquired of them. Where the Messiah was, but think about how mischievous this is. He wants to know where the Messiah, the ruler, the anointed deliverer of Israel is going to be born because he has intention of assassinating him. This is the real world we’re living in folks. They said to him, this is so stupid.

First of all, why would they even tell him? How un–decerning do you have to be to tell Hitler where the Jewish deliver is going to be showing up? But he says, ‘Where’s the Messiah going to be born?’ And they’re really idiotic. They go, ‘Well, we’ll tell you.’ Here’s the amazing thing. They know where it’s located. They say, Bethlehem of Judea. They can even quote the prophecy. This is what has been written by the prophet and you Bethlehem and in the land of Judah are by no means least among the leaders of Judah for out of you shall come forth a ruler who shall shepherd my people, Israel. The amazing thing is this is the religious spirit for you. It can quote the Bible. It can correct you by the Bible. It can cite chapter and verse but it’s not looking for God. Catch what I just said. A religious spirit knows the scripture better than you do, but isn’t seeking God like you do. Consequently, you that it may be less intelligent on the Greek, the Hebrew, the Aramaic, and the theology will find God, and the wise will go away empty handed, the Bible says.

Annabelle: Wow.

Lance: So then, Herod secretly called the Magi. And determine from them the exact time the star appeared now catch what’s going on here guys. This is so interesting. Herod is cutting remember Jesus said go tell that fox. This family line is very shrewd. the Antipas line Herod’s. They’re all known they were all real calculating figures in the Roman court and he calls them he’s going to conceal his intent on killing the child. He acts like he’s one of the seekers. He sneaks in among them and says, this is so exciting. Can you tell me where he is? When you find him, will you let me know? I want to worship him too. I’m with you. Just where exactly were you when you first heard and he goes into and who was it that told you and how do you know? Show me on this map here. You came from here and the star came here then okay. So, he wants all the intelligence he can gather to kill this child. ‘Please tell me, I want to worship him.’

So, and they he sent them to Bethlehem and said, ‘Go and search carefully for the child and when you found him, report it to me that I too may come and worship him with you. I just love this deliverer. What a beautiful thing to be alive when he’s here.’ After hearing the King, they went their way, and the star which they had seen in the east went on them until they came and stood over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. Let me just say something. So, I talked about that Nova Special where the House of Rising and the House of Pisces, the star rising a lot. Set that aside for a moment. Let’s throw that out there because it’s interesting. Stuff I talk about if we had coffee or something.

I believe that star was an angel I don’t believe it was actually planetary although I was fascinated to hear about this planet star thing. Reason I say that is because it’s a very mischievous star. You know how you see these UFOs and what’s weird about him is?

Annabelle: I don’t know.

Lance: Well, alright if you watch Tucker Carlson like I do.

Annabelle: Do you see UFOs?

Lance: They have UFO segments on. Now you’re not watching him, because you’re not watching Tucker like I do.

Annabelle: I missed that one you and I saw one time in Cape May remember.

Lance: Yes, we did I know honey.

Annabelle: It’s just how you said it, you know when you see UFO. Go ahead. Sorry.

Lance: Well, you did see one, did you?

Annabelle: A long time ago, yeah.

Lance: And did it move?

Annabelle: Not lately.

Lance: But did it move in a normal pattern or unusual?

Annabelle: Very unusual.

Lance: This is my point people. The star moves in an unusual pattern. If it was a vehicle, it would move in one direction. But if it’s angelic or supernatural or a spirit, angel of light, it can just appear and disappear, right?

Annabelle: Yeah.

Lance: This star appeared and led the wise men.

Annabelle: I love that.

Lance: But where did it lead him? Led them to Herod. Actually, heard one guy teach. He didn’t think it was God. He didn’t think it was God. That was I wasn’t the Lord. It was of course the Lord. It led him to Herod because God is like so in a strange way God is a man of war. And it’s almost like the Lord went and told the devil. He’s here. It’s like God make an announcement. I’m here. I’m even telling you I’m here. And you’re not going to find me.

Annabelle: Yeah.

Lance: It’s like put it in the devil’s face I’m here and so Herod’s like freaking out these wise men go. They don’t know any better they’re actually being dumb they’re going, oh where is he where is he, and Herod’s like being like so shrewd, oh I want to worship him too. But the angel led them to Herod. You would think the angel goes avoid Herod. The angel goes, take him right there and announce to the hell what I’m doing. Now let’s go and give that child, birth that child.So anyway, so what happens. Herod secretly calls him in like that word secretly. He’s got trees to say, hey, over here. Just tell me where the child. He doesn’t want anyone to know his plans. So,after hearing the king, they went their way in the star and they stood over the place where the child was where they saw the star. They rejoice with exceeding great joy. After coming into the house, circle the word house, Annabelle. Do you say the word house, sir?

Annabelle: Yeah.

Lance: Why do I say circle the word house? Because after coming into the house, they saw the child with Mary and his mother and they fell to the ground and worshiped him and opened their treasures. They presented him gifts of gold and frankincense and myrrh, costly spices and I tell you, gold has been gold since gold was gold. I’m talking about they gave a King’s. It’s like wedding. If you got a really rich, what do you what do you get for someone who’s really rich.But you can’t get them a cheap gift. So, if you invite you to the wedding, you got to bring something. Well, for the birth of that child, these Kings brought King’s gifts.

Annabelle: Like a ransom, like the whole ministry budget for the whole life of Jesus was taught to me that came to him at his birth.

Lance: Came to his birth for everything. Everything he would ever need was financed and funded right there.

Annabelle: Right there at the birth.

Lance: Having been. But catch this. I told you to circle the word house. Why because the mythology is poor Jesus, poor Jesus so poor, he didn’t have a place to lay his head. He born in a manger. No, he was born in a manger because they didn’t have a reservation at the Marriott Hotel. There was no room in the, Bible says. Therefore, he’s not in the manger right now is he.The word house means they rented out as soon as the census was done, everybody went back. They didn’t move into an inn. Joseph had enough money to rent a house. This is Airbnb people. He didn’t go into a hotel now. Hotel is what he was looking for his pregnant wife. Everybody was showing up there. It was flooded with people.

Annabelle: Wow.

Lance: Once they left, he said, rent me a house for my wife and kid.

Annabelle: That’s beautiful.

Lance: Joseph so he had money. Then, he had more money because they brought him gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Now, he’s going to need every dollar of it. It’s not trivial not being not just teaching nonsense here because he’s going to have to flee the country and survive for a couple of years and he’s going to have to go underground. Because Herod and his armies out to kill him.

Annabelle: Yup.

Lance: Have he been warned by God in a dream not to return to Herod, the Magi left for their own country by another way? In other words, they parted company with Joseph and Mary, but I want you to see something. Why would it bother Herod to see, we got we 3 Kings of all it wasn’t 3 Kings, folks. It was a military cohort. Because if you’re going to bring myrrh and frankincense and gold and you are, don’t say how many wise men, does it? Don’t say 3. But probably you have more than two because it says Magi from the East arrived. So, that means they were wealthy or they wouldn’t have had gold, frankincense and myrrh. Therefore, it was them plus the camels or the donkeys with the gold, the frankincense and myrrh. Now you know that this the territory there could be treacherous around Jericho was well known, they could fall among thieves.Therefore, they had to have entourage.

Probably 20 to 30 soldiers’ security or paid staff that were armed traveling with them. So, when they showed up in Jerusalem Herod wasn’t looking for 3 eccentric guys with beards looking for a baby. He noticed that there was an entourage. Some people say as many as 100 showed up as a small militia bearing the wealth of these Magi in search of some cosmological phenomena.

Annabelle: Amazing.

Lance: That’s why the whole city was stirred. You’re not stirred by three people come in and you’re stirred by a small military movement. So, they were warned by God in a dream. God is the God. When transition times come times of significant transition in the birth of Jesus in the last days you can expect lots of dreams to happen. Joseph had dreams about Mary. Yeah, Joseph had dreams to as a matter of fact When they had gone, watch this. Verse 13, “Behold an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, get up. Take the child and his mother and flee to Egypt and remain there till I tell you for Herod is going to search for the child to destroy him”.

Right away, Joseph got up, took the child and his mother while it was still night and left for Egypt. He remained there until the death of Herod. This was to fulfill what had been spoken by the Lord through the prophet out of Egypt. I’ve called my son out of Egypt. What’s interesting is Annabelle, up until this verse all the Jewish people and to this day the Jewish rabbis teach. Out of Egypt God called the Jewish people and to them the son refers to all the Israelites being his first born, his tribe, his people coming out of Egypt with Moses.

Annabelle: Right.

Lance: And they believe that was the interpretation until this verse which says that out of Egypt God called his Hebrew people. But literally out of Egypt he summoned his own son. So, Jesus is summoned by an angel. When Herod saw that he had been tricked by the Magi, he was very enraged. This is similar to the dragon coming down the Book of Revelation being enraged because he knows he has but a short time and he sent and slew all the male children who were in Bethlehem and all its vicinity, the surrounding territories. From 2 years old and under. According to the time which he determined from the Magi. Guess which means Joseph must have been there with a child for like a year or 6 months or a period of time after that baby was born. Because Herod wanted to make sure that he nuked the entire region.

Annabelle: Imagine that.

Lance: And he wants to make sure that he wants to say one year old to be one year old or younger. You might make a mistake on a 1-year-old. Make it 2 years old or younger. He guaranteed to kill all of them.

Annabelle: Imagine that all those babies.

Lance: That when been spoken through Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled a voice was heard in Rama weeping and great morning Rachel weeping for her children and she refused to be comforted because there were no more. Another verse fulfilled. You got to wonder what did people think these verses meant until they were fulfilled. Jeremiah would say something like that like what is what is that. Till it’s happening. There’s still verses Bible my friend that are going to be fulfilled just like that. But when Herod died, behold, here we go again. An angel of the Lordappeared to dream. So, Annabelle, dreams and angels are connected together. Angels appeared in the dreams to Joseph in Egypt and said get up and take the child and his mother and go into the land of Israel. Those who sought the child’s life are dead.

Man, I wouldn’t want to be the person God has marked to kill. Because you’re going to die and this this guy Herod, I mean let’s face it what it says. It says that the angel says to him that, go into Egypt remain there until I tell you for Herod is going to search for the child to destroy him.

Annabelle: Yeah.

Lance: And then those that search for that child’s life are dead implying Herod and a couple of other people. So, Joseph got up and took the child and his mother and came into the land of Israel and when he had heard that Achilles was reigning over Judea in place of his father, Herod. She got the Herod lineup now, right? Another Herod shows up. Don’t forget Jesus is going to have to appear before a Herod, right? There’s Herod Antipas also, not Antipasta. So, he was afraid to go there. Joseph was afraid to go so he didn’t go of Judea because he was afraid of being potentially identified by the next Herod in the family line that took over the throne. Then after being warned by God in a dream, another dream. Man, God is talking this guy Joseph.

Annabelle: He got visions in dreams.

Lance: He’s probably one of those prophetic characters in the New Testament think about it before the holy spirit’s even there, Joseph is dreaming, dreaming, supernatural dreams.

Annabelle: But he follows the dream.

Lance: He follows them.

Annabelle: Smart.

Lance: And so that he left for the regions of Galilee and came and lived in a city called Nazareth and this was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet saying, “He should be called a Nazarene”. And where is that verse? It’s an interesting verse. “He should be called a Nazarene”.

Annabelle: It’s right here. What do you mean where’s that verse?

Lance: Well yeah, he should be where’s that promise from? He should be called the Nazarene.

Annabelle: Isaiah 11:1 maybe

Lance: Isaiah.

Annabelle: I don’t know. Let me go look.

Lance: He should be called the Nazarene because it’s chapter 2 verse 37. See if you can find that.

Annabelle: Isaiah.

Lance: During those days John the Baptist came preaching and suddenly we got like a 30-yearhiatus. 30 years later, it’s called in those days. Love how the Bible does this. And John the Baptist comes preaching it. Now, John the Baptist and Jesus are cousins. And John the Baptist as he comes, he’s going to prepare the way and reveal the Messiah. I want to share with you something that’s really wild. Lord showed this to me this year. John sees Jesus in his end-time ministry and misses his present generation ministry. He sees Jesus as he returns in his final rule over the Earth. He doesn’t see Jesus in his death, burial, and resurrection mode. That’s not clear to him.

He’s got his vision on the coming conqueror. Why do I know that? Because he says, his winnowing fork is in his hand, chapter 3 verse 12. He’s got a thorough clear his threshing floor. He’ll gather the wheat into the barn and he’s going to burn up a chaff with unquenchable fire. The axe is being laid to the root of the tree and every tree that doesn’t bring forth good fruit is going to be cut down thrown. He’s got fire, fire, fire. Second Thessalonians chapter 1 verse 8, Jesus comes back with angels in flaming fire to judge those who resist his message.

Annabelle: Amen.

Lance: John wasn’t wrong. He was confused because Jesus, he’s hearing the report. He’s waiting for fire to fall and axes to go fly and he hears, hey, this person’s got his lip, his leg, my legs working. My knees is got your legs working. Yeah, I’m blinding this eye and see now, it’s great. Jesus, that is wonderful. It’s like, what are you doing? It’s like the healing ministry through John up because Jesus is fixing people. John’s ready for him to come breaking things and so Jesus goes, “Hey, blessed are you if you’re not offended with me”. Let me pray for all of you now and Last 10 seconds of this broadcast and say, God is coming to fix things in your life right now. He’s coming to deal with your enemies. The same Jesus that is in this Bible is coming in both forms in our generation.

Annabelle: Amen.

Lance: Dealing with Herod and delivering you. You got a plan for God‘s provision and God will get you where you got to go and God will deal with your enemies too. We’re going to see Jesus the flame of fire and Jesus the fiery healer all in our generation. Invite the Lord into your life and into your home this Christmas, because Annabelle and I could attest after 40 years of doing this,we’ve had highs and lows and ins and outs but God has always been real and faithful.

Annabelle: He doesn’t fix up all his accounts in 30 days. He never just is that fast all the time for everyone, so hang in there. You got a promise, just stay in the spirit of the Lord. Step back in the spirit and wait on God.
