There’s A Bright Side To All This.
Let’s start with AI. Will AI be used to persecute Christians? Sure. But can AI be used to evangelize multitudes? Yes. Can we use AI to mobilize masses of people? You bet.
Who doubts that any dictator in history would have used AI technology and embedded chips or microscopic digital tattoos to mark and monitor their subjects? What about enhancing human capacity by installing neuro-links into the brain or body to produce a super-race?
Still, I am happy. Why?
I see the bright side. My theory is that the great outpouring of the last days is upon us. Multitudes are going to come into the kingdom. The augmentation of human capacity via transhumanism will be offset by the peculiar and superior features of the last days outpouring described by Joel, namely that “your sons and daughters shall prophecy, old men dreaming dreams and young men having visions.” This access to the “mind of Christ” will offset and confound the proud priesthood of transhuman potential.
According to Psalm 2, we will really upset a lot of apple carts. World rulers will take counsel together against this movement of Christ through His body. Entire nations will turn to Christ even as the antiChrist rises up. Wars and rumors of wars and perhaps even unthinkable nuclear exchanges. A counterfeit peace movement will show up that sets up a global trap. The man of sin arises––but despite all this, the glory keeps getting poured out, and people keep coming to Jesus in record numbers. Then just at the moment when things look darkest, we are suddenly translated like Enoch out of the grip of the retaliatory rage of antiChrist forces!
You will meet Jesus and present to Him the rewards of His suffering in the form of the harvest you participated in reaping with your friends and partners during those exciting days of end times of pressure. Soon after this, you will return with Him and rule over cities under His new administration.
The future looks very bright indeed.
