The Power of God’s Whisper in a World of Noise!

Lance: Welcome to the unusual Bible study of the New Year. We’re already in the year 2023 and I believe that that the challenge that we have now is to be able to start the year and make an adjustment in what we’re doing. Now I asked the Lord, what it was that he wanted me to really focus on this year. He said, he wanted me to dial down on my digestion and absorption of news about what’s going on in the world, and focus in on the news that God was revealing to me from the word. That God has something he’s saying and literally the Lord said, “I want you to be able to hear the whisper and I want you to go get your Bible for these Bible studies”. We’re going to have anointed Bible studies. Father, I thank you in Jesus’ name for the ears that are hearing the eyes that are seeing and for the drawing in of the people that are gathering together, so that we can tabernacle with you at the word and hear what you’re saying. 

I have in my bloodline Rabbis that are my father’s side and I call the redemptive gift of the Levite. The Ashkenazi Levite in me to be a holy ghost spirit filled Pentecostal Levite to see marvelous things in your word that I could share as a Rabbi in my generation. Matthew chapter 10 verse 27, the Lord says, “What I tell you in the dark proclaim in the light and you hear whispered in the ear proclaim upon the housetops”. That’s Matthew chapter 10 verse 26-27. The reason why this is so important to me is that the Lord was saying, I want you to dial down the distraction and the anxiety of these other words and start to listen more attentively to what I’m saying. Because you don’t have authority over what’s happening in the White House or the nations or the election and that what you do, don’t have influence over directly you have indirect influence over in prayer. Separate what you have authority over what you don’t have authority over.

You have authority over what you think you say, you feel, you do in the sphere of your authority. You can bind, you can lose, you can plant, you can flourish, you can grow. In the sphere that I’ve assigned to you, you are the master of that domain. But when you’re outside of that sphere, you’re in the realm of intercession where you’re praying in direct authority through God over that situation. I hope you hear what I’m saying because there’s areas where people spend a great deal of their time.

Let’s take a look at this. I’m just going to spin around this way. You have a big world out here loaded with all kind of news. All kinds of activity the Lord said to me. The Lord said, hey, you cover all that because I have a news and media company. I do. My goal is to give you insights on what’s happening in the world and a perspective that will be what the spirit of truth is saying prophetically about world events which are obviously being manipulated by principalities and powers through the media and governments of the world. So, we have to be able to discern what the spirit’s actually doing. But the Lord said, that area of activity there is area where you have indirect authority. Where you have in direct authority, you exercise authority by prayer, but where you have direct authority, look at this. Where you have direct authority, you, it’s under your domain, in this area the dart goes boom, and you have direct boom, the dart goes there,boom, the dart goes. See you don’t have authority in these areas. Here you can talk about it all you want. You’re not affecting the outcome because it’s not under your authority. Does that make sense to you?

So, my son’s telling me to stand up so I’m going to listen to my son. I have direct authority here. I have indirect authority here. You could be talking about all kinds of stuff. Listen you could be talking about over here, well, who DeSantis or Trump who should run for president and all what they’re do with the Omnibus Bill. Well, guess what? Pray about it you have indirect influence over that you don’t have direct authority. But over here in this area. your thoughts, your feeling,your family, your business, your life, bam, you can affect directly what’s going on. The Lord is saying, focus more on what you have authority over unless about obsession about what you don’t have authority over. Okay, so that was the word the Lord gave me. Okay, I got it Lord. Now, so that way I can be focused more on what God‘s saying to me about where I’m accountable.

Now, I’ll give you where this came from the other time the Lord spoke to me and when I said the Lord spoke to me, I don’t say he speaks to me all the time. I’m not talking about stuff outside of the word of God and this stuff that can be tested by the word. But you remember when Jesus was revealing to Peter about his future and Jesus says to Peter, he says to him, verse 18. When you were younger, Peter, it’s after Jesus’ resurrection, Peter’s denial, Peter gets restored to ministry. Jesus says, “I say to you that when you were younger, you used to guard yourself and walk wherever you wanted to go. But when you’re old, you’re going to stretch forth your hands and another’s going to bring you where you don’t want to go”.

Now this he said, signifying by what kind of death Peter would glorify God. Only Jesus can tell you you’re going to die a martyr’s death in a way you don’t want to die and it’s edifying. And Peter turning around. I love this. Peter turning around saw the disciple whom Jesus loved. Obviously, John’s talking about himself flattering himself. And Jesus turned around and saw the disciple who Jesus loved, me. And the one who also leaned back on his bosom at the supper and said, Lord who is the one who betrays you. So, Peter seeing him said to Jesus, Lord, what about this guy? See Peter and John are best friends and so Peter’s being what we call in Rhode Island a nose bag. That’s when you’re sticking your nose in other people’s business. He goes, ‘Man, what about him? You’re talking to me about how I’m going to die and you’re talking to me about my future. What about John’s future. How’s he going to die?’ Is that weird or what. Jesus says to him, “If I want him to remain until I come, what business is that of yours? I told you, you follow me”.

Now, wait a second. This is an interesting moment here because Peter ought to have an interest in his brother and what’s going to happen with him? They’re supposed to love one another. They’re going to be traveling together. They’re going to be in ministry together. Isn’t he have a right to ask the Lord about what about my brother? The Lord is making a point. He’s saying, if it doesn’t pertain to direct accountability for what I’m doing and calling you to do, then leave, if it has to with somebody else. Forget it. I’m only talking to you about you following me. So, what do you think’s going to happen with DeSantis? What do you think is going to happen with Donald Trump? I fought a lot over this guy, Donald Trump. I love this man. I pray for him all the time and but I’ll tell you the truth. The Lord had to remind me and say, if I want Trump to be president, what business is that of yours? You follow me.

Oh, that was a jerk the slack out of my thinking. I thought my whole life was tied up of what happened to him. Lord said, your life isn’t tied of what happens to him or DeSantis or anybody else. You’re accountable me for what I tell you to do, and when you get to the judgement seat of Christ, you’re rewarded or you’re not rewarded based upon fidelity to what you were given to do, not what God gave Donald Trump to do. Hope you’re hearing me because this is where people get off. They get off. Not saying those things aren’t important. I care about who the pilot is on the plane when I’m flying. It’s critically important that that pilot is alive and living and healthy and that we don’t have turbulence because I’m on the plane. But I’m not in the cabin. I can only pray. I have indirect authority. I care about the outcome but I have to make sure that I’m on the flight God put me on going where God sent me. That’s my job. Does that make sense to you?

So, what you hear in the ear, God‘s going to whisper things. Don’t let there be noise in your ear when God‘s whispering. That’s my point in these 15 minutes we’ve done. Now, I said to you, if you’re hearing God accurately, then when you go, God is sending you and if God‘s sending you, you’re going to prosper. Doesn’t mean you’re not going to have battles. Heck, Jesus had battles,but verse 40 in Matthew chapter 10 says, “He who receives you receives me”. I showed you last week that when you go, if they receive you, then what you’ve got gets on them including your peace. Says right there, chapter 10 verse 11. Wherever you go, whatever city, whatever house, whatever business, if they receive you, they receive me. If they receive me, the anointing that’s on me, the words that’s on me is on you, it goes to them. Meaning, your peace, come upon them. Your shalom.

And when David, as I showed last week, when David went into the presence of Saul, watch how this works. Poor Saul was over here and he had these devils tormenting him and those devils were tormenting Saul and he was like miserable and he’s just like miserable. Then David comes along with his harp and he’s playing his harp with the music notes right there, and what happens? David comes along and when David came along, the anointing on David, his peace came upon Saul and what happened then was interesting. That devil had to leave the presence of Saul when David was in Saul’s presence the Pitchforth as you’re trying to figure that out. The devil had to leave when David was in the presence of Saul, because the worship that David had released the authority. “He who receives you, receives him that sent you”. When Saul the King received David, the devil had to leave let your peace come upon them. And if the son of peace is there your peace will come upon him, and if the son of peace isn’t there then let your peace come back to you. Don’t let the peace leave you.

Alright, next verse the Lord gave me that I want to share with you now goes to Mark, and Mark chapter 4 So, you go to Mark chapter 4 and we see something here, has to do with the word verse 13. Jesus was giving a parable about how the kingdom of God advances, how you increase. And he said listen, a Sower went forth to sow and he sowed certain seed and the disciples said, well,we don’t understand and Jesus said, if you don’t get this, you’re not going to get anything I teach.Because to you has been given the mystery of the kingdom of God. Those who are on the outside get everything in parables.

I love this. In other words, you as a believer have access to clear revelation. It shouldn’t be a mystery to you. These things that are a mystery to other people should be simplified for you because you got inside access and inside information. The Holy Spirit in you reveals to you stuff. Other people trying to look at it from the outside in. God‘s working with you from the inside out. Those are outside. Jesus said, get everything in parables, but you get it inside. Don’t you understand? How are you going to understand any of the parables? Because the Sower sows the word. Those are the ones who are beside the road where the word is sown, and when they hear it immediately Satan comes and takes away the word that was sowed. So, your first level of warfare is to guard what God gives you lest Satan takes it.

I remember my spiritual mom and me were once in a car with a pastor friend of mine. And we had a going on. I was on staff at that time and she looked at us. She said, you got good things going boys. You got something good going on here. Guard the garden, lest Satan gets into the garden and destroy the serpent will try to get into the garden always to seduce and destroy. But she was very prophetic. Satan comes and takes away the word which was been sown among them in a similar way. These are the ones in whom seed was sown and whom the rocky places when they hear the word of God immediately. They receive it with joy. Oh, they’re all excited,but they don’t have any depth, any root system and the root system is in them, not in the news, not in the economy, not in the government, not in the marriage. It’s the root is in them. He says,and so when affliction or persecution arises, now catch this. Persecution or affliction because of the revelation God gave you. Think about it.

God gives you a revelation on finances and immediately the enemy could cause affliction in the area of finance. God gives a revelation in the area of healing immediately. There comes the affliction of your praying for somebody and they’re not getting healed. The contradiction is how the devil tries to steal the word God gives you, and that’s why you got to hold on to the Word when the persecution comes because of the revelation God gave you. Does that make sense to you?

That a lot of warfare is in order to rob you of a clear agreement with the truth that God is trying to give you roots in so that you can produce that truth in your life. They have no firm root in themselves but are only temporary when affliction or persecution arise, because of that revelation they fall away. Others, now here’s the one the Lord warned me about. I’ve endured. I mean, like I told you, I got saved when I was in my teens. I keep coming back to this. I can’t let it go. Jesus is for me and nonnegotiable. I got to have him in my life. Here’s the hard part for me. Whenever my, you could pray for me. Here’s where my I could fall into sin on this one.

Now, those that are shown among the thorn to the ones who have heard the word but the worries of the world or the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of riches, the distraction, of riches. The desire for other things enter in and choke the word. The desire for other things. You see, so like if God doesn’t lead you to go into let’s say television, then, the desire for that, if God didn’t lead you into that, could cause you to choke because you’re constantly having to raise money for television. Next thing you know, you got, like you wonder what happens with somebody’s great healing and miracle ministries like AA Allen. I watch him on YouTube. I mean, I love brother Allen. I mean, if I had a between that or William Branham. William Branham had a more awe-inspiring and frightening demonstration of the word of knowledge, but AA Allen had joy. He’s bouncing around and dancing and casting out devils and miracles and healings but how did brother Allen get come under?

Well, I think it’s because as things grew, he got more expanded and then had the care of the financial, which causes you to sometimes do things you would normally do in order to pay the bills for the ministry and you start off. That’s a theory of God. I don’t know but the point is it’s the cares of this life. For me, it’s like I’d say but the news cycle. can’t watch it and watch Davos and the World Economic Form and see what the enemy’s doing in the schools and universities and with the transgender movement. I see it so clearly that it begins to create the cares as to where and yet I’m called to be a watchman. I got to see and I got to dessert, because I’m also in media. I must say what I see. But Lord said, I’m going to show you how to do it differently this year, because the deceitfulness of riches, the desire for other things, the distraction of, listen, do you know the good can be the enemy the best? And it could be a good thing that’s a distraction in your life.

Give an example Whitfield the great mighty great awakener evangelist that crossed the Atlantic like 7 times and is responsible really for the Great Awaken. I think really Whitfield shaped America. But he had an orphanage in Savannah Georgia he started, and he was always burdened about paying the bills for the orphanage in Savannah Georgia. It was he was constantly fundraising, and I honestly think one biographer said it might be that God didn’t lead him to start an orphanage because it drained him of energy constantly trying to raise money for his orphanage. He was called to be a Great Awakener Evangelist, not an orphanage manager.

Anyway, the earthly worries and distractions can choke the word of God. What does it mean to choke something? It’s the constraint. God wants to give energy and attention to a revelation and it’s dying for lack of oxygen, because other things are soaking up the nutrients. That’s one that I’m looking at, because I believe the Lord was saying to me, it’s the cares and anxieties and the distractions of other things that choke the word. But those who are the ones and whom the seed is sowed, if they hear the word and embrace it and protect it, nurture it and feed it, it grows 30, 60, 100-fold. 30,60. 100–fold.

Now, how does it happen? Here’s the mystery. Verse 26. The kingdom of God is like a man who cast seed upon the soil. He goes to bed at night and gets up by day and the seed sprouts and grows. But how does it grow? How does the word of God that you hear and think about, meditate, read, and study? Alright, so you’re going to get more attention as you’re going to focus in on this. How does it grow? Well, it the soil produces all by itself. If you let the word of Godget into you, it’s somehow the word of God. Jesus said, my words are spirit and their life. If you meditate upon what God is saying and you give appropriate energy to it, it starts to engraft itself into you, it starts to reproduce itself in you. You become the soil, the word gets planted and it by itself you start to find more joy, peace, strength, and victory. Yeah, adversity comes to test it but if you overcome the adversity, you start to produce the fruit of that word. The soil produces by itself. First, the blade. Then, the head and then the mature grain in the head or first the blade than the ear and then the full grain in the ear like a corn, ear of corn. And when the crop is ready, he immediately puts in a sickle, because the harvest has come.

I can remember my spiritual mom had a vision. She’s very prophetic. She was a seer prophet. Called me into ministry, prophesied me into ministry and she said, Lord showed her a vision of from Hebrews chapter 1 verse 3 of so great salvation. So great salvation. Hebrews chapter 2Verse 3, and I’m going to have to break out on this one. She said, and it was like 30, 60, 100–fold, some 30, some 60, some 100-fold and it’s so great. It was a vision she had and the Lord said, so great of salvation. Some of you are just dipping your toe in the margin of a 30-fold walk with God. She said, and she sought that there’s some people that only know Jesus is the way to heaven. They have peace with God enough to get to heaven. They’re constantly overcome in this life but they have enough relation with God to go to heaven when they die.

She said, but then there are those that go into the word of truth. They go into the Word of Godand they become students of the word. They have their mind beginning to get renewed by the word of God and so they go from the way to the truth. They have a 30-fold harvest. She said, but then there’s those, son that get it into life and it’s takes root and starts to produce fruit healing and prosperity and blessing and evangelism that you can have just that you see it or you can understand it or you can reproduce it and people stop short of this because of the distractions and cares and lust of other things. I said, wow, this is amazing. The way the truth, the life. And then she said, the Lord showed her that these people are justified. They’re staying in the battle to get saved. These people are in the battle to be sanctified. They bring their thoughts and emotions in their life under submission to God, but God is glorified by those that will allow the 100-fold life.

I’ll to talk more about this later. That’s a lot. That’s why you can’t let the distractions come in. Martin Luther, the great reformer, was in the battle of his life for the Word of God and Luther was taken captive literally by men, so that he would not be murdered and burned alive by the Catholic Church. It was a group of knights that took him hostage. He had no idea they were enemies or friends, but they brought him to Wartburg Castle. And at Wartburg castle, he realized that God had delivered him from what the pope was going to do to him by these wealthy, powerful knights that were hiding him and gave him a secret identity in their castle. But in that castle was when Martin Luther penned the words that you might remember. A mighty fortress is our God, work never failing. I’ll help her, he amidst of mortal ill prevailing. The prince of darkness grim, I tremble not at him, his rage I can endure for low his doom is sure, one little word shall fail him.

Luther would say, did we in our own strength confide? Our striving would be losing. We’re not the right man on our side, the man of God‘s own choosing. You ask who that might be? Christ Jesus said is he Lord sabbath his name from age to age the same, and he must win this battle.

The reformers throughout the ages have fought devils, have fought governments, have fought systems, but the Word of God will justify, will sanctify, and will glorify his people, if his people will persevere with the Word of God. And that’s my prayer for you this year. See you again next week.

Ending: In your life you’ve got angels that are assigned to you. They actually connect with people. For all I know, it could have been a random angelic intervention that connected you and me together. Do you ever think about that? How did you first hear about a person or how do you first stumble upon an idea? Well, maybe there are angels at work doing that. One of the great stories in the New Testament is a story of Cornelius. He was a Roman who actually was totally ignorant of the gospel, but somehow was praying to God as so many people do in the earth just praying to the God, he knew the best he knew. But he was also giving and he was specific giving alms he was investing in those that were poor, that needed resources.

Here’s the story I want you to remember. His giving actually provoked an angelic visitation,because the angel came to him and literally said, “Cornelius your prayer has been heard and your alms or your giving has been remembered before God”. That means that over a period of time he was doing something and then it triggered God‘s later on. I want you to know that when you give consistently and when you sow with the right spirit, you are setting up a divine appointment in the future where the angelic realm comes down to unlock for you access to something you couldn’t have gotten without God setting it up.
