Steve Scalise is likely Speaker. Is that good?

With war drums beating, the Republicans are desperate to get their act together. They met and voted in secret about who would lead. Secrecy is always a bad sign. Donald Trump backed Rep. Jim Jordan. That was enough for the weak Republicans (the majority who dislike Trump) to vote secretly to back Scalise.
Remember, most Republicans in Congress are part of the establishment spending cult on the Hill. Jesus’s criticism of the leaders of His day applies to today. They talk a good talk to get elected but compromise their convictions in D.C. to get ahead. The annual debt of 2 Trillion dollars without any item-by-item vote over the pork in the budget is what got McCarthy in trouble, and it will do the same for the next Speaker if they follow in his steps.

Scalise is better than McCarthy but considered a moderate at a time when we need firebrands. Scalise has enough votes to be the candidate but doesn’t have the votes necessary to win. The future Speaker would need 217 votes on the floor to get the gavel. He needs to win over about a dozen holdouts.
Our three biggest domestic threats to survival are:

1. The 31 Trillion Dollar Debt, Plus 2 Trillion Annual Overspending is leading to a potential economic collapse.

2. The Invasion at the Southern Border. 2 Million have come in UNVETTED under Biden. We will soon see how many terror sleeper cells entered the U.S.A.….. at least 65,000 (Including 650 Iranians) are among “suspicious persons” from suspected terror nations that have escaped surveillance and are loose in the States.

3. Ukraine/Israel/WWIII Avoidance at all costs! We cannot afford to go to war with the genius squad that gave us the humiliation in Afghanistan as we withdrew. We need a wartime President in 2024. Trump alone commands the respect of Putin, Xi Jinping, Kim Jong Un, and Iran.

Scalise will not fight the spending problem in D.C. I just got a text from him asking for donations to support him. What are his priorities? Spending? NO.

Scalise priorities:
– End open borders for safety.
– Parents decide for kids.
– Fight Big Tech censorship.

Scalise is winning because he has overwhelming support from the three dozen members of the House Appropriations Committee, a panel dominated by traditional Republicans who want government to function. They want the flow of money to keep going. They viewed Jordan, who has led past efforts to shut down the federal government, with deep disdain.
In addition, Jordan has opposed earmarks (those fatty narrow projects members request for their district), while Scalise has supported and secured such projects in recent years.

THE GOOD NEWS
McCarthy sold out our people, and now he is out. Our movement has teeth. We have shaken up the status quo in D.C. and delivered a shot across the bow to make whoever holds that gavel pay attention.
