President Trump Declares A National Emergency For Border Wall Funding

Today President Trump is signing a federal funding bill to prevent another government shutdown, however, that bill only contains around $1.4bn for border barriers. The President dealt with that in typical fashion, by declaring a national emergency to get the remainder of the funding. Of course, this will open the White House to all kinds of legal challenges but the President is fully prepared for that.

“It’s a great thing to do because we have an invasion of drugs, an invasion of gangs, an invasion of people, and it’s unacceptable,” he said as he announced the national emergency at the US-Mexico Border.
