Prayer Directives 9/30/19

  • President Trump – The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will issue a notice to San Francisco declaring it has committed environmental violations because of its homeless crisis. The President stated that they have to clean it up. Pray that those in opposition to him will not get in the way of this clean up. In light of this week’s decision by Democrat leadership to begin an impeachment process, pray for the shalom of God to cover his heart, mind, and spirit. During his history-making speech to the U.N., the President made it very clear that the principles of religious freedom apply to people of every faith. Pray that these world leaders will honor the “first freedom” of religious liberty for all people. Declare Psalm 91 over President Trump and for his continued protection. Pray to lift the burden off of his shoulders and for him to sense the effects of all those praying for him.

  • Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem (DPPJ) – On Sunday, October 6th, hundreds of millions of Bible-believing individuals, families, and churches will unite around the world to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee” (Ps 122:6). This is written to Jew and Gentile alike, and is expressed as a command with a promise, not a suggestion. As the capital city of Israel, it syncs with God’s covenant with Abraham, saying: “I will bless them that bless thee” (Gen 12:1-3). Israel is a miracle nation and Jerusalem a miracle city for all the world to see.

  • Foreign Interests And Conflicts – Iran’s president warned that foreign troops in the Persian Gulf region could threaten the world’s “Energy security,” after President Trump ordered U.S. troops and equipment to Saudi Arabia and the UAE. A top Iranian commander said Tehran was prepared for an all-out war with the United States and said his country could launch advanced missiles at U.S. bases and aircraft carriers within a range of 1,242 miles (2,000 kilometers). Pray for wisdom for America’s leaders in dealing with the threats of the regime in Iran.

  • Congressional Leaders – Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri “stunned” Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg when he called for a third-party audit of the tech giant, and telling Facebook to “take real action” regarding censorship and privacy on its social media platform. Senator Rick Scott of Florida said the U.S. must not tolerate any Iranian aggression against Israel calling it “our only hope for stability in the region.” He said Iranians will not stop unless they are made to stop. Pray for members of Congress to have discernment in dealing with foreign governments.
