Pastor Fights For Congressional Seat That Just Opened!

For instance, did you know that there is one election being determined. One more seat in Congress just opened up that can move us from 222 to 223 seats. Most people don’t even know about it and it’s a pastor who is running with a chance of winning in Virginia. We’re going to cover that interview with me with us in a moment. Nikki Haley threw her hat in the ring. She’s going to be taking on Donald Trump. We’re living in a time when we really don’t know what’s going to be happening governmentally but there’s a revival that looks like it’s beginning to touch down and I’m suggesting to all my friends that this is the moment that you want to stock up and prepare. We do not know what kind of interruptions might come but the devil will want to interrupt the revival move. He’s going to want to bring us into this proximity with confrontation with World War III prematurely There’s a lot of weird stuff going on.

Welcome back and people have been asking me as you go back to the wide shot. Who is this over here to my left? That’s George Soros riding a Tyrannosaurus Rex or as we call it the George Soros. George Soros is the ubiquitous presence in the news cycle. How can this guy, he’s like the emperor, the dark Sith Lord from Star Wars? He is constantly coming up in all the news cycles. I’m reading about him again coming up in Europe at this point in time and he got, only Soros can annoy you like this. The London, thank you guys as George writing Tyrannosaurus the Georgia Soros. That London England, the United Nations through England just awarded him something like $2 or $3 million dollars for one of his open society organizations to work on equity and include and Marxist agendas in Europe. And the UN is giving sword. The billionaire is shaking down $3 million dollars out of the United, out of the EU. Sorry I said the UN, it’s the EU.

He’s getting his money over there to do his clandestine bidding. Anyway, we’re talking about Nicki Haley a moment ago and I was a spirited conversation. I want to go back there. The question that I’ve got is have you read what her tack is in terms of her approach. I’m really worried, I’m worried about the future of America the only thing that could stop the Marxist communist takeover is if America has an awakening that disrupts the momentum of the left,something’s got to stop it folks. And to do that you need something like Donald Trump. Donald Trump came along. He didn’t really win the popular vote as much as he won the vote of people that wanted to stop what was going on in Washington. They were hoping. They were afraid. He was an anti-Hillary vote. And that’s why people are saying they’re worried about whether or not he can run and win. Because it’s like he won because he was other than Hillary. So that’s a challenge, right?

Nikki Haley comes along and she feels like this time for a woman, probably going to be Kamala Harris running for the Democrats. I know that she’s, what you and I would say with an eye roll. Are you kidding me? Yeah look. They’re crazy. And what’s weird is crazy’s winning. Have you seen the senator in Pennsylvania? Crazy is actually getting elected. So, Nikki Haley announces presidential run-in new video and she’s claiming it’s time for a new generation. But listen to this. To me it sounds fatigued. It sounds old, worn out, and my marketing instincts are flat soda. But I’ll let Mercedes decide that.

Mercedes: Okay.

Lance: She says, “It’s time for a new generation of leadership”. Have we ever heard that before? We must turn in that direction again. Republicans have lost the popular vote in 7 out of the last 8presidential elections she said. It’s time for a new generation of leadership to rediscover fiscal responsibility. I don’t think that anyone believes that McConnell and the Senate and the Congress is actually fiscally responsible. It’s time for us to rediscover securing our border. Ever hear that theme before? And strengthen our country, our pride, and our purpose. My gosh. Get some script writers from I don’t know Project Veritas. There might be some people available to hire. I was the proud daughter of immigrant, Indian immigrants. Not black, not white. I was different. But my mom would always say your job is not to focus on the differences but the similarities. And my parents reminded me and my siblings every day how blessed we were to live America. She also warned the impending threats from the socialist left. She checked off that box as well as China and Russia loom large while positioning herself as a fighter against them and alluding to our status as a real female contender. They all think we can be bullied and kicked around. You should know this about me. I don’t put up with bullies and when you kick back, it hurts them more if you’re wearing heels.

So, I’m just saying I don’t think that that’s a new generation of leadership. I think that would have worked. It’s like with Mike Pence. Mike Pence would have been a great candidate in the era of Walter Mondale. In the early Clinton days when George was running. But we’re just in a different place right now. And what we need is a catalytic populist personality. Hate to say it. You need some kind of a UE long type that is a conservative that says, we’re in such deep do-do as a country, if you don’t put a competent change agent in Washington. The handwriting is on the wall folks. And I think Trump actually knows that. I worry that he isn’t so overpowered by the voices. I mean I hear my own people. Unfortunately, the world smears its enemies and even Christians end up having their minds distorted by the smearing process.

Mercedes: Yeah.

Lance: Your thoughts, Mercedes Sparks.

Mercedes: Yeah, I’m with you. I mean, I maybe 1 day but I agree. I mean, right now for me, I’m kind of like that’s what it feels like. I’m like, okay, you’re running, I mean, what you going to be at? More of a talking head on Fox like what are we after here, but it definitely doesn’t feel like the change we need.

Lance: Now how about that gal who’s on Fox? I’m going to reveal my absolute ignorance here. Who’s the one that has that’s on Fox often the one from Hawaii, Chelsea Gabbard?

Mercedes: Oh, Chelsea. Yeah.

Lance: So, what do you think of her compared to Nikki?

Mercedes: I could see her. I could definitely see her because she’ll pull moderates and I think she would be a great I think she’d be a great.

Lance: She’s coming in as a former Democrat and she’s coming in okay. So, we have, let me hear your opinions out there. We’re going to have to make a wrap in this segment here. I’m so sorry we’re going a little bit over, but man when we come back, we’re going to talk real time. There is one more election taking place as a national election. A seat just opened up in Congress. Most people don’t even know about it. You’re going to find out in Virginia there’s one shot we got at picking up one more Republican seat in the House of Representatives and most people don’t even realize the election’s going to be happening within like 10 days. Lance: Welcome back to this special segment of the Lance Wallnau show. There is a national election going on. I’m not talking about the presidential election that certainly is coming. But there still is one undecided vote. Did you know that? Did you know that right now the marginbetween the Republicans and the Democrats is painfully close? It’s 222 Republicans, 212 Democrats. There’s a strange thing that happened that in Virginia someone who I think was running died and we’ll find out the actual story and the seat suddenly became unresolved and it became an open seat for election and the elections for that congressional seat is being decided like within the next week. I wanted you to know about it because it’s a national contest now for one congressional seat. I’m very seldom. Do I know the candidate? Do I know is the person, a person of faith? And a person is competent politically to run. And so, I want to welcome candidate Leon Benjamin great pastor, great political leader. Would you come on? There we go. It’s good to see you brother.

Leon Benjamin: God bless Lance.

Lance: So, explain to my audience how you ended up back in this. I mean, I would imagine as a praying man you’re praying, you run, and then it looks like you’re not in and then suddenly the door swings open. Here you are again. What’s happening?

Leon Benjamin: Well November 8th, of course was the election. And again, God bless you. Thank you for having me here on the show. This is such an honor. But November 8th was the election in 2022 and results came out. They were they were not favorable. But our team was in the process of making the changes necessary to keep moving forward. And then 3 weeks after the election my opponent passes away. Now no we’re keeping that family in prayer because this is still fresh in the hearts of that family. But he passed away of cancer. That was the diagnosis. And I get this call saying, you going to have to make a decision what you want to do because there cannot be an appointment the governor has to call a special election.

And so, that’s what the governor did, right during Christmas time. so, could you imagine us turning on our campaign when we were in the middle of shutting down our campaign, and now getting ready for a firehouse primary right before Christmas. And that wasn’t enough Lance,because two other candidates challenged me in the primary. So now instead of just saying, okay,this is the guy he has a name recognition. His name is already out there. I mean I still had signs up all around town. I mean we’re talking about from Richmond down to Emporia. And two people come from out of nowhere to run against me in a firehouse primary. And so right before Christmas, we had this primary and I win. Thanks be to God; I give him all the glory and credit and the we the people that came out to vote for me and here we go early voting started January 6th and we’ve been running ever since with blinders on. Because as you know, we’re in a heavily democrat district but the tide has been turning since day one.

There’s been a groundswell and only way I can explain it is God, is the Lord is doing something in the hearts and the minds of the people. We’re now one week away from determining who gets that seat, 223. It’s so funny that February 21st, I mean it’s amazing how this time is just ran by, soquickly and here we are right now one week before the election day.

Lance: Wow, and so I want everybody who knows somebody in Virginia to really you could share this broadcast get it to them. Because it really comes down to a remnant can turn an election like this especially when I think the Democrats are they’re looking at. I mean what are the issues that people are fatigued with that in your area what are the thing you’re talking about that have to be addressed. For instance, what?

Leon Benjamin: Well, it goes in a pattern. The first thing is family. The destruction of the family, parents, namely parental rights. Do parents still have a say so for their children or does the government own the children? We’ve been seeing this battle going on now between government and parents. Parents being labeled terrorists okay for going into school board meetings and saying, we don’t want CRT, we don’t want transgenders in our bathroom with our daughters. I mean and so that leads straight from family to education. We want the right curriculums being taught and parents ought to have a say so. So, I call it the money follows the child where parents are able to determine what educational format best fits their child. Whether it be public schools. So, the whole argument was, oh, the Republicans are trying to shut down public schools. No, we’re trying to bring competition back into the public arena.

Lance: Right.

Leon Benjamin: And allowing the money, these ESAs. They call them educational savings accounts be able to parents able to have that money designated to where what bets fits their child.Whether be public private homeschool charter school.

Lance: I would imagine that you had, what’s the name? McCollum, who’s the former governor the Youngrin beat. Anyway, they got…

Leon Benjamin: McAuliffe, Terry McAuliffe.

Lance: McAuliffe, Terry McAuliffe, that’s it. He was like a rage big dude in the Clinton era of in terms of fundraiser ahead of the party etcetera. And when he came out and said that the teachers and the teachers’ unions have the authority to determine what’s taught to the children not the parents. I mean it showed the disconnect at that moment in history that was when Youngrinreally suddenly seized an issue that caught national attention. I can’t imagine that in your district where education’s got to be really suffering that the parents wouldn’t love to get a hold of money that would be theirs to be able to put their child in a school. Where the number one issue isn’t going to be drugs and violence and other stuff but getting an education. That’s got to work there in your area. What is the number two issue? If you had to pick a second reason why your constituents are going to go maybe from Democrat to Republican. What do you look at?

Leon Benjamin: What is what every one cares about family, education, economy. I mean, eggs and we talked about this offline. Eggs are $8 for real. I thought they were joking. Chickens are not laying eggs. Something happened to the chickens. I mean, plants have been destroyed. Literally, chicken plants have been destroyed over these last two years and chickens are not laying eggs and for some reason, the price of eggs have gone up 38% and some. So, the inflation they’re saying is only 8%. Like that’s something to celebrate, but people are literally feeling this in their wallet from the high gas prices to the high food prices, high rents, interest rates have gone up. Where’s the money? I mean robbing Peter to pay Paul, now you got to rob Peter Paul and Jane. I mean you got to start robbing a lot of people to make ends meet and so that’s the thing. The radical spending of the Democratic Party, the Biden administration has allowed this nation to become so vulnerable in areas that it should not be. When this administration took over,I mean 2020 GDP, 1 what under 2%?

Lance: Yeah, the inflation was under 2%. Then it went up to like 8, up to 9. That’s what’s funny in the State of the Union. Biden takes credit for bringing inflation down. He drives it up to almost double digits and claims he’s spiking the football because it’s down to 7 or 8%. It’s hilarious. The bad part is the average American doesn’t know. So, the disinformation is what we’re up against and I believe you could be the kind of congressional candidate that could turn the tide. We need people that are informed Christian who have values and educated up there in Congress and this has been a of yours since I’ve known you. How did you know originally,you’re supposed to run? There’s a little besides, an inside story here. How did you know this when you were in ministry and this was what you were called to do? because we could probably got a lot of people that can relate to this.

Leon Benjamin: Well, I mean, Lance we’ve had these private conversations about the 7Mountains. I was diving in to where do we fit in the mountains and My wife could was could probably testify about this. Why is he talking about the 7 Mountains back in 2013, 14, 15. What is he talking about? The mountain of government, the mountain of education, the mountain of family, the mountain of media.

Lance: Right.

Leon Benjamin: Sports and entertainment. The mountain of religion. What is he talking about? And then boom, 2019, I’m in a statesman course in Washington DC see for 3 months learning about the constitution. And even though I’m a pastor, God, I don’t know if he sucked me in, tricked me in, pulled me in. I started to understand and ascertain that my calling is not just in the pulpit per se in the four walls of the church, but in the marketplace. And in specifically the area of government, but I understood it on the spiritual end, the mountain of government. But to translate that into everyday common language, it just means to be able to bring the principles of the kingdom of God into the everyday common, everyday life of men and women that they can begin to use as tools of best practices, what makes things work, and so that calling now is so apparent. My wife even when I first ran for congress in 2020, she said, ‘Baby, I don’t know what you’re doing. I helped you with the ministry. Yeah, okay and then I helped you with the daycare.’I understood that was a business.

Even though the mountain of business is something that I that I cherish in understanding the principles of making money, that wasn’t it. When I ran for congress, my wife said, ‘I can’t help you.’ I don’t know if this is God or not. But then she began to understand because the money began to as they say, money answered all things, the help and the resources, she began to see that, that this is something that inside this boy’s heart.

Lance: Yeah.

Leon Benjamin: This man, oh my goodness, he’s not going to stop until he goes all the way.
