Israel’s Mossad Intelligence Agency Helps Bust Islamic State Terrorist Cell In Denmark

As part of an ongoing policy of collaboration with Western intelligence agencies, Israel’s infamous Mossad intelligence agency recently helped bust a significant terrorist cell in Denmark.

Local media outlets reported the story this past Sunday how Mossad first tracked the terrorist cell, members of which had fought for ISIS in Syria. Several in the cell group were born in Denmark, while the rest were from Pakistan with relatives living in the country. Mossad passed the information to Danish security services, which also began tracking the group. The cell was placed under surveillance for several weeks, and then the Danes began a significant operation, which included raiding safe houses in seven different cities. All in all, twenty-two terrorists were arrested in the raids. Additionally, the Danes discovered evidence that the group had weapons and explosives to use in an attack.

Collaborating on combating international terror attacks like this in Europe is not the first time Israel has been involved. According to a Hebrew news site, Mako, the operations are the result of a process initiated under former Mossad director Meir Dagan, who believed Israel had to collaborate with Western intelligence sources to win its war on terrorism. Additional countries that Israel is working with include Britain, France, Italy, and others.
