In a time when many Americans are experiencing financial hardship, President Biden met with the President of Ukraine at the White House. While in DC., President Zelenskky spoke before Congress, dressed in the same attire often seen in videos.

VP Harris and House Speaker Pelosi held a Ukrainian flag during Zelenskky’s speech, with a masked staffer standing just behind them with an American flag, a gift to the Ukrainian President. During his speech, he declared that “Ukraine is alive and kicking” while also urging members of Congress to strengthen sanctions against Russia and provide more aid.
“Against all odds and doom and gloom scenarios, Ukraine didn’t fall,” while also thanking the United States for billions of dollars in military aid. “Your money is not charity. It is an investment in the global security and democracy that we handle in the most responsible way.” Biden later gave a speech regarding the giving of $47 Billion to the country.
