Lance: You’re not going to want to miss today’s special broadcast. What if I was to tell you, Godhas already moved to answer your prayers, to put prayer back in school and to put the 10Commandments back in the classroom, to have Jesus once again taught in the curriculum. If the left can do all the stuff that they’re doing, there’s a door that just opened up for a move of God. What if it already happened and you didn’t know it. What if the Supreme Court made the decision and you haven’t it. That’s what we’re going to talk about today because I’m telling you, it’s happened. The move of God is already running. And by the way, many people out there are going to feel not only the strength that comes to them for this broadcast today, but they’re going to say, well, I want to see in my own life more of a breakthrough. I’ve did a special training and I’ve never showed you guys this before on this show, I don’t think.
It’s called Breaking Controlling Spirits. We are breaking a spirit of control of the body of Christ in the United States and I want you to go to “Lancewallnau.com/breakfree”, I guess it is break free. “Lancewallnau.com/breakfree”. Going to warn you right now I’m a Pentecostal and I’m going to talk about how certain kind of praying delivers you from the control of wicked spirits. You don’t want to miss this one I’ll guarantee that once you hear it you’ll never be the same “Lancewallnau.com/breakfree” let’s go right into what God‘s doing to break us free America. I’m
Welcome, welcome once again to the Lance Wallnau Show. The show that is anticipated by so many discerning prophetic people in the land who are trying to understand exactly what’s going on. We’ve got an amazing update today. If you’ve been praying for getting prayer back in public schools, we’ve been praying about getting the 10 Commandments back in. If you’ve ever seen the data that shows the drastic slide in America that happened when God was rejected by government, you’re going to be shocked to find out, we’ve already won the case and nobody knows about it.
We’re going to deal with that today. I’ve got my ever-effervescent Mercedes Sparks right here on the panel and our special guest expert presenter Troy Duhon who is very difficult to really capsulize Troy. Because he is an activist entrepreneur and only is active in the most interesting way. He makes movies, produces projects that move the needle in terms of enlightening culture and saving America and that’s in his free time because he’s running thirty dealerships when he’s not doing that and I guess and right now, I caught him while he’s traveling through Dallas. You’re at one of your dealerships and I said, please come by the studio. You were kind enough to come by. Troy, I hardly know where to begin except to say that how did you get involved with Coach Kennedy and just for people that don’t know the case. They should know the case but what happened?
Troy Duhon: So, actually use Kelly Shackelford on God‘s Not Dead too. So, if you saw God‘s Not Dead, we had some major courtroom scenes.
Lance: Yeah.
Troy Duhon: So, I needed experts so I asked Kelly. So, me and Kelly became friends actually filming that film. So, about a year later he says look I got a very interesting case. This is going to be a movie one day. Now this is 7 years ago Lance. So, he goes I want you to meet a guy by the name of Joe Kennedy who gets fired by his wife for praying after high school football games. I said, ‘How do you get fired by your wife?’ He goes, ‘Troy, his wife was the head of HR.’ So, I begin to get to know Joe.
Lance: HR in the school district.
Troy Duhon: In the school district.
Lance: That had a problem with him praying after a football game.
Troy Duhon: So, I get to know Joe and Joe’s like a military guy. He fought in marines. Guy took a bullet for the country. This is a bad guy. This is the guy you want on your team. And he’s coaching in the school district in Beaverton, and all of a sudden, he decides to start praying after the game getting on his knees and then God that none of the kids got hurt. They tell him, he can’t do it and he’s like, who are you to tell me that I can’t do this, I fought for this country, I know my constitutional rights. They said, ‘No, you can’t do it.’ so, his wife gets a call and says, you have to let your husband go. We’ve got major complaints about him praying. So, she fired her husband. So, he hires First Liberty they follow litigation. 7 years, Lance, this guy loses every single lowercase decision. And then all of a sudden, revelation, timing, or God‘s timing, whatever you want to call it, they move the complaint from freedom of religion to freedom of speech. Just because I’m on my knees after a high school football game, you don’t know what I’m doing. So, don’t act like you do.
Lance: Right.
Troy Duhon: So, they change it to freedom of speech, the US Supreme hears it and he wins.
Lance: And 6:2 the decision was, I think. I mean this wasn’t even a close one. So, they changed, but religion was not the argument. It was speech.
Troy Duhon: They changed it to freedom of speech.
Lance: So, now here’s the part that blows my mind folks. I open up the program saying 10 Commandments can go back in school. You’re free to pray after. These valedictorians that are not allowed to ever mention Jesus. All of the cases and all there’s 7,000 different statutes or citations have been applied off of the case that was overturned by this issue.
Troy Duhon: That’s right.
Lance: Which means that all of those things have been changed right, retroactively it’s like in reverse Antifa. Every monument that went down goes back up if it was religious if it honored God, because it’s really freedom of speech.
Troy Duhon: That’s right.
Lance: Were you in the court watching this thing?
Troy Duhon: Well, they wouldn’t allow us to come in the US Supreme Court so they would text me and he would call me. And the arguments Lance were just amazing and the plaintiffs, look they did the best they could trying to say that he was pressuring the players and he wasn’t that he was causing under direct. No, the man was just expressing.
Lance: I’m interested in this so the arguments on the left because I know my theory of this is they just don’t want to have God and conservative values anywhere get a toe hold. But they’re going to aggressively push for LGBTQ, Drag Queen Hour whatever else. So, they’re make arguments that we know aren’t true, but they might have weight in court. So, I just want to slow it down for a second. One of the arguments was, you can’t, so if you’re going to do this as a coach you can’t pressure your students to feel like they’ll pay a price if they don’t subscribe to your belief system right?
Troy Duhon: The pressure became is that if you don’t pray you don’t play. That’s the argument they said.
Lance: Okay.
Troy Duhon: So, he never once denied a kid from playing because he wouldn’t pray with him. As a matter of fact, the argument got even broader and then they showed scenes from one of the games and what they failed to realize is that in the center of the football field after the game, some of the players that were praying with Kennedy were the opposing team. So, all this will come out in the movie Lance, and the and the thing I think it’s important for people to understand is you have rights and now with this decision, what are my constitutional rights. And if just because I am a city employee and I have a shirt that says, Jesus lives, can they stop me from wearing that shirt? Can they stop me from praying before my meal in a public environment or like in a school environment and they can’t? So, our dream for this film is not only.
Lance: So, I just want to make sure you declare this one. So now we’re talking about a movie.
Troy Duhon: Yep.
Lance: So, Kelly said this will be a major most of the picture. You get involved with it and is this project already started, starting or what?
Troy Duhon: We’re starting next week. We have offers out to A list actors, because when you made it freedom of speech everybody in Hollywood said whoa, I want to be part of that. Because everyone’s tired of the government compression of my rights, and tell me what I can’t do or what I can’t say, what I can’t wear. So, we start production in about 30 days and it will be a theatrical release. The beautiful thing Lance is at the end of the film you have the ability at the end of the film as the credits are rolling to take your phone out hit a QR code and we will educate you on what your rights are. We want the American public especially the American public that work for the government, what are your constitutional rights, and do they have the right to tell you, what you can and can’t wear what you can and can’t say and what you can and can’t do?
Lance: This is like, folks listen to me, this is like so serious and exciting because we’re praying for great awakening. I think that we frequently are looking for it in some of the wrong places and then suddenly you see the evidence of a major victory because there was no preparation for it there’s no context. We aren’t thinking about that, but this goes to something else. Do you know in the state of California it’s written in the statutes of the code for teachers in education that the New Testament and Jesus can be and should be part of the learning curriculum for every student going to school? The teacher so far from not being able to bring their religion in simply is required by code to talk about the New Testament and Jesus as a historic figure and what his first century message was.
Troy Duhon: And it’s in the law books.
Lance: It’s in the law books and the teachers don’t. The point is the don’t even know. They don’t know now with this Coach Kennedy case. They could put the Bible on their desk and that no administration is going to go wait a second you can’t. It’s undo pressure. That’s freedom of speech baby.
Troy Duhon: That’s right. And Lance, our vision for this film is not only to educate truly all everybody by their constitutional rights. Whether you’re a teacher, a coach, whatever it is. But our goal is to take Coach Kennedy and hit all 50 states where he presents to the state legislators what this case means and a bill for that state that gets sponsored by a local legislator that says, we want to pass this law that allows a 2-minute moment of inspirational silence in every public school.
Lance: So, if I’m hearing that correctly, the 10 Commandments, the Bible, teaching of Jesus and 2-minutes of silence so that if a person wants to pray, they could pray is under the freedom of speech is being reinstated.
Troy Duhon: Yes.
Lance: Mercedes, what do you think about all this?
Mercedes: I just think it’s powerful and I guess like as a young person, I feel like I grew up not having God in school. So, I guess I’m wondering where this precedented started. Like when did because I would think when you were growing up like my mom would tell me.
Troy Duhon: No, 62 is when it was removed.
Mercedes: See that it amazes me and is that related? I mean, how does this fix that? Like what happened in 62 where all that was wrong.
Troy Duhon: Well in 62, they took prayer out of the school because every public school would start with a pledge of allegiance, they would start with a prayer. So, they took it out. What we’re hoping is and we’re not calling it, understand. Our intent is not to call it a moment of prayer, our intent is to call it a moment of inspirational silence to let these kids who are going into these tough schools, have a chance to give thanks.
Mercedes: Yes.
Troy Duhon: And not force them to honor our religion but to honor any religion.
Mercedes: Yeah, absolutely powerful.
Lance: To the point of everybody watching, we saw just recently with the player what was his name again Darren.
Mercedes: Yeah.
Troy Duhon: The Buffalo Bill player.
Lance: Buffalo Bill player.
Mercedes: Yeah.
Lance: So, he is having to be resuscitated in the field. I was so surprised that all the players are kneeling. I mean for both teams, it was an unusual display of sacred. I mean I’ve not seen prayer in an NFL game in my life. I’ve seen the BLM problem with the knee taking and the anthem. I’ve never seen people getting down on two knees and praying to God for something. But there just nobody complained about it. You noticed that. Not listened a word about it.
Troy Duhon: Look at all the ESPN analysts.
Mercedes: Yeah.
Troy Duhon: All the newscasters. So, you saw something that you have never seen before. Which tells me when you think about that event you think of the Joe Kennedy case. You think about that event that happened. Now you think about this movie coming out. God is claiming that he will be professed in all public arenas.
Lance: Wow. And so, for a prophetic perspective, God is speaking through the acts he’s doing right now. He’s saying he will not be hidden. And if people have the courage to confess their faith. Then we’re living in a chapter right now where the enemy can’t stop it. So, this movie will be coming out. You don’t have a key actor yet, but do you have more than one or?
Troy Duhon: I have several people that have actually said I want to be part of that film. It’s very interesting. Obviously, you have tier one actors who want to play coach and then you got some guys who want to be part of the US Supreme Court, that’s a big set in the film. I mean it’s huge.Because you got to get the right guy play that, because he’s professing the decision and like Kelly would tell you, the minute they threw the lemon in there all of a sudden you just opened up everything. So, getting that to the main three actors in this film would be who plays coach Kennedy, his wife. Because remember it’s also a love story. He proposed to her at 9 years old
Mercedes: Wow.
Troy Duhon: And we’re going to show you a scissor reel today they kind of give you a feel for what this film is about. So, the wife is a big role and then whoever’s ahead US Supreme Court Justice who gives the ruling who educates the audience. That has to be an incredible scene in this film. Now remember Joe was a bad kid. This is not some feel good story of a man. This is the man that was told he had to go into the marines, okay? He spent 20 years in the marines. He’s just a warrior, right? And coming out of the marines because he’s a hard guy he gets asked by his wife to start coaching these kids and these programs where they’re rough kids. So, it’s a love story, it’s a story about affecting inner city kids who don’t have fathers. Then it gets down to freedom of speech and constitutional rights and a David versus Goliath. Because when you’re willing to take on the US Supreme Court which has unlimited resources, unlimited money, right? He didn’t bow down.
And remember Lance, he lost, lost, lost. I mean, I’m walking with him for 7 years and we would pray and we get excited about it and we’re going to win and we lose. I’m like, come on God. When you going to show up but like always, we want things to happen in our time.
Lance: There’s a lot of lessons in this week.
Troy Duhon: Yeah, and when it’s really God‘s time. So, the ultimate decision we got but it was better than that and Kelly will tell you because you removed the Lemon.
Lance: So, this whole thing about the law. The Lemon Law was originally put in when there was an argument about Christian monuments in public places, I think. Like having crosses and met statues and stuff. And the argument was these are religious icons in a government location. So,but what Kelly said on a call I heard Kelly Shackleford, the lawyer that argued the case he said that they were careful not to bite off more than they could chew, because in the court cases you’re calculating what can you win. So, you don’t want to go for this much and lose, you can go for this little bit and win and then maybe you can go later on expand it. Well, he had to dance around the Lemon ruling, because that was already a law. But while he’s presenting, he had framed the argument so well that Kavanaugh and Gorsuch. He talks about what the record shows. They’re discussing this really goes to a preceding statute that has to do with the ruling that were dancing around. Here the Lemon, technically that needs to be reevaluated in light of this case. So, they brought up what Kelly wouldn’t go for.
Troy Duhon: That’s right.
Lance: Because they saw that there’s another issue here. It’s a bigger one. So, he basically got by delaying, you could say.
Troy Duhon: That’s right, God‘s timing.
Lance: And then you see the warfare over Kavanaugh getting into office. I mean, all hell. It’s like hell knew. No, gosh, not that guy. So, there are people that that we have that God has put into positions are a remnant, but they could have vast impact. Kind of like what you’re doing Troy. I’m so pleased with what you’re doing with this project, but I’ll be a little bit nosy, like is this a big project? It cost millions to do this stuff.
Troy Duhon: Oh yeah, this budget could be anywhere from 7 million to $20 million. It all depends on who plays him. But understand Lance for me and my team, we know there’s a unique opportunity here that may never happen again. And that’s to put prayer back in public schools. So, if you’re asking my team what’s more important winning all these awards, having $100 million dollars at the box office are putting prayer back in public schools. My team would tell you, our ultimate goal here is to put prayer back in public schools.
Mercedes: Amen.
Lance: So, and what I love about this is it’s going to get the whole body of Christ involved. I mean, this is a movie and a movement tied together. Because if he’s going to go from state to state and then there’s going to be legislation involved and there could be a groundswell of support behind it. That’s how it works and that’s using media basically. The way I think the shrewdest way you could use it, as a vehicle of public persuasion.
Troy Duhon: And when he comes to your State, if you’re watching this program right now and you hear about Joe Kenney coming to your state. Go hear this story, and then as we present the legislation for that state to pass, please get behind it. because ladies and gentlemen when you look at what has happened to this country since 1962 with prayer coming out of the school, you can track a lot of issues we deal with today. Because there’s no foundational faith system in our public schools.
Mercedes: I love that.
Lance: Well, we’re totally behind this and now, so let me just say this. You are a businessman who is doing this. It isn’t like your number one job is tracking court cases and doing movies.
Troy Duhon: That’s right.
Lance: So, there’s no excuse for anyone out there that doesn’t think they can do something. It’s amazing how God is squeezing every square inch of your life out here to do. I know Troy is also run these businesses as a believer. So, tell us a little bit about your business, because for all I know you got thirty dealerships out there.
Troy Duhon: Yeah.
Lance: I want people to know how to get in touch with you. Because if you’re going to do business with somebody, here’s the kind of guy I’m going to endorse. So, where are you located?
Troy Duhon: So, we have automobile dealerships in here in Texas, Louisiana, Kansas, Missouri, California, of all places, right?
Lance: Yeah.
Troy Duhon: And then we’re going into Nebraska. So, run automobile dealerships, but really my passion, Lance, you know me is, I want to be one of those disruptors who’s not afraid, who’s not going to get bullied, who isn’t going to back down, so I get to do projects that push the envelope. And you look at what we did with God‘s Not Dead and you look at like films that some of my friend my friends at Hacksaw Ridge and you look at these other. These are films that actually push true life stories.
Lance: Yeah right.
Troy Duhon: Coach Kennedy’s case is a once in a generation opportunity to do something that this country desperately needs. So, when I got the rights and I walked it out with him for 7 years God began to reveal to me in his time because I’m frustrated because we’re losing every lower court, every lower court case decision. But then I realized based on what Kelly said it’s the limit opportunity. So now how do we build this brand? How do we tell the United States people? These are your rights and don’t get bullied again, don’t bow down, don’t be afraid, and don’t acquiesce to all their propaganda.
Lance: And by the way, I’m going to put up on the screen here the name of the website right now for Kelly’s organization. There’s a site you can go to at list what your liberties are, what your freedoms are. It’s probably connected to the QR code. It’s going to be in the movie. But I’ll put it up there on the screen and we’ll put it in here in the podcast too. I just don’t have the call in the data with me, but we’re going to do a trailer right now. I’m going to wrap the show up because I can’t believe we just ran out of time. But we’re going to do a quick trailer to give you an idea of the flavor of what this story is going to be like. Troy, how do they get in touch with you if they want to get in touch with you?
Troy Duhon: Troy@PremierAutomotive.com, real simple.
Lance: Troy@PremierAutomotive.com. Alright, you can find out where he is. Final thoughts, Mercedes?
Mercedes: Final thoughts for me as I listen over here that you know, we just did a recent broadcast. We were talking about entrepreneurs and a lot of people got triggered, right? They got triggered of like, oh health and wealth prosperity. It’s people like you Troy that when we talk about what money can do, what wealth can do for the kingdom. I mean, to me, this is truly like why God gives people the power to create wealth. Because you turn around and you say, I’m going to take all of this and my number one objective is to get prayer back in school. That’s what I want to do. God used me to do that, and then also the entire journey of losing. I mean, the idea of constant losing for seven years and then still persevering with this and then the coordinated effort of believers at the tops of different mountains to go along with what you talk about.
To me, it’s just amazing to see it played out. It’s almost like peeking behind a veil where people feel like, oh we got prayer back in school. I’m like, no, you don’t understand. God use these strategic men and women in order to do this. It’s like a Bible story. It’s like if you can write a Bible story about all this, it feels like this and then but it’s like prayer was taken out. But Godraised up coach Kennedy and Troy Duhon and Kelly Shackleford. I mean, it is I just get goosebumps when I talk about it. But those are my final closing thoughts when I hear you guys talk so.
Lance: Wow, and for me, it’s like there’s the education mountain God raised up an uncompromising believer in the business Mountain. God raised up one. Then in the legal field. And when they got together, God was able to do something. It doesn’t take everyone. It just takes someone and you’re that someone. So, I’m going to pray for you right now. Father, I pray that everyone watching, everyone listening will hear in this broadcast the strength of a movement that is forming. You’re praying for some kind of great awakening. Here it is. Hear the rumble. Begin to feel the shaking. God is on the move in the west again in Jesus’ name and you’re part of it. See you again tomorrow.
Mercedes: Amen.
Movie Trailer: Nothing doing on the right side. He’ll change directions, shakes off the tackle. Now, this is your moment. This is your time. Yes, sir. So, you go and take it. You go and take it.Hi, everyone. This is coach Joe Kennedy. So, here’s a question. How does a guy like this end up in a place like this fighting a battle like this? What a busy time on Capitol Hill. Public school football coach. Coach Joe Kennedy from Washington. High school football coach. He has now been suspended to put Bremerton School District in the spotlight. Talk about coercion. You hear that word a lot. For more than half a century, one of the most controversial topics of constitutional law. It began initially as just you. This coach has gone through the lower courts that all ruled against him.
Apparently, all it takes is 15 seconds. And that’s it. That’s the 15 seconds that caused all of this. That’s me and my football team on our knees. But before you think this is a movie about prayer. Let’s go back in time. I love you, son. You mean the world to me. Yeah, that didn’t happen with me. My childhood kind of looked more like. So, you could say, it’s a tale about a troubled youth getting into more trouble. Now just as you were about to think this is a coming-of-age movie, let’s skip to some action.
That’s right. This is me in the Marine Corps fighting on the battlefield. So, I joined the Marine Corps thinking I’m going to escape and make something of myself. Boot camp, training, combat, learning what it takes and doesn’t take to be a marine. And they served for 20 years. After that, I started coaching football but the plot thickens when you discover that it was literally my wife who had to fire me from the school district for praying. Yeah, my wife. Now, I met her when we were 9 and I proposed to her the moment I looked into her eyes when we were both nine years old. And then she said I was creepy and went in the house. So, 31 years later, I was actually good enough for her and we got married.
Which leads us back to here. I rise today in solidarity with Washington State High School Football Coach Joe Kennedy. That’s right. Me in front of the entire Supreme Court. For 7 years, Coach Kennedy has prayed at midfield at the conclusion of team’s games. Last month, the school district ordered him to stop. When he didn’t, Coach Kennedy was placed on administrative leave.
Alright, every true story, things get complicated. He is pressuring them to pray. Students, parents came forward and said so much. We’ll stand together in defense of every American’s constitutional right to religious freedom. Kennedy says the school district is discriminating against him by prohibiting prayer. The school says, it cannot allow the prayer because it would look like it endorsed it. The coaches are authority figures. Kids admire them. They want to please them and that’s why the courts have been so careful to protect the religious freedom of students. Now, whatever the court decides obviously could go well beyond the football field and set new rules for prayer in public schools. So, that’s me, Troubled Youth, Marine Corps, high school football coach, defending the Constitution, Supreme Court. Think this story is too good to be true? But don’t take my word for it. I’m just your average Joe.
Closing: Thanks for listening to this Lance Wallnau broadcast. If you enjoyed today’s show, make sure to subscribe and share the episode. See you tomorrow.
