Episode Transcript

Lance: Jesus is showing up at the end of the age as the king, the ruler, the judge, the warrior, and so many are looking for Jesus, gentle Jesus, nice Jesus and there’s a word I’ve got right now and I want you to judge it. I want you to tell me if you think I’m right and if I’m wrong, you shouldn’t listen to me anymore because I’m telling you something. John the Baptist saw Jesus coming as a flame of fire to thoroughly purge the floor and when he was in prison, he was confused as what is Jesus doing. He’s just hearing a happy revival and then Jesus said, don’t be offended John. The blind is seeing, the deaf are hearing, the good news is preached, and blessed is he is not offended. Well, now we’re having a realization. John saw the end time ministry of Jesus with the axe in his hand and the fire and the flame and everything gathered into the barns. He didn’t see the timing for when Jesus was showing up the first time but we have a reverse problem.

We see Jesus as though he’s back there, the lamb and the sacrifice but he’s actually coming with the Armies of heaven, the spirit and the bride say come and we have a warrior Jesus in the earth and we’re looking for a reconciling lamb pacifist. We have to get this together. This is the end time Jesus we’re going to talk about today. You don’t want to miss this broadcast. By the way, those of you that want to help me, text 41444 to Lance. Just send Lance to 41444. Many of you are saying, how can I help you get this message out? I’m stretching myself right now to do everything I can do to get this message out for the end time move of God is upon us. Lance to 41444. I need your help, your prayers, and your partnership. Let’s get into this message.

Welcome back to the Lance Wallnau Show. Thank you for making this show effective. We have a I guess close to 10 million downloads and that’s just on one platform alone is other platforms. I don’t know who’s listening but I guess there’s somebody out there and right now it’s you. I want to thank you for listening and I want to thank you for your partnership with what we’re doing. So, let’s get right into this media message right here right now. John the Baptist comes and he’s preaching under the spirit of Elijah and the parallel here is I guess we can put it go over to the board. The parallel I don’t want to lose is this Elijah thing. Because Elijah in the first coming, the Old Testament. The Bible says in Malachi, I will send you Elijah and he will turn the hearts of the fathers and the children and children to their fathers, lest I strike the earth with a curse. Wow. God‘s going to this Elijah who we find out Jesus says that John the Baptist came in the spirit and power of Elijah. So, evidently that Elijah isn’t just a person it’s the spirit that was upon this person will be upon other persons and John the Baptist comes along and Jesus likens John the Baptist to that same spirit. You could say that John the Baptist had the Elijah spirit and that spirit comes down.

Now, my thesis is this, if John the Baptist could have that spirit upon him and Elijah came and was prophesied to come before the return of the Lord, it could be that in the first coming of Jesus, John the Baptist paves the way. But oh, wait a second, that there’s going to be Elijah Spirit right before the second coming of Jesus. Why? To prepare the way. It looks more complicated than it really is. Elijah came, John the Baptist with the spirit of Elijah on him and the Elijah’s spirit just like it’s on John the Baptist also was on Elijah the Tish bite is going to have that same spirit on him. The reason I know it’s a spirit is because Elijah double portion of this spirit was on his protege, ELISHA, Elisha. Elisha was the young man that served Elijah and he got a double portion. So, I know that it’s a spirit and not a person. Because the double portion of the mantle of Elijah was on Elisha. John the Baptist comes in the spirit and power. Well, it’s not too hard to believe that there might be a double portion of that Elisha spirit on the last day’s church. Hallelujah. Why not?

For I am coming to pour out my spirit upon all flesh, God says. And the book of God says, I’m going to shake the heavens, I’m going to shake the earth, I’m going to shake thrones and principalities and powers. I’m shaking everything then I’m coming back to rule. Well, if he’s going to build the more glorious church, if the latter end is going to be stronger and greater than the former. The latter house which is his body is going to be more glorious than the former, then, I believe the latter church is going to be more powerful in exhibition than the Book of Acts Church. Bam, bam. See where that goes? We could use a little dose of optimism, don’t you think? Especially since one of the consolations Jesus gives in the Bible is, hey, I got some terrible things to tell you. But remember when they happen, I told you. Why does that encourage you? Because if he told you before it happened then everything else, he told you is true too and he told you. Don’t worry about it. Don’t worry about. These things must happen, the end isn’t yet see that you’re being not troubled, this is a see that you be not troubled broadcast.

The banking system lands war in Europe nuclear. See that you be not troubled. You who are believers. Believers are the only ones who are supposed to be trouble free. Ironically, it’s believers who are the most neurotic because we know the Bible and we know what’s happening. It’s like, oh my gosh, can you believe it? And so, we have more anxiety than a sinner does and the sinners having a party on the Titanic. What if you knew the Titanic’s going down and you’re on the ship? It’s like, oh my God, give me a life boat. So, I understand my tribe, but just the same the boss says, see that you be not troubled. Why you worried about? Your job is to stay right with me and you’re going to be fruitful and multiply. You’re going to do what I want you to do.It’s all about me, it’s all about me, it’s all about you’re going to stand before me and I got work for you to do. Don’t worry about it. I got a job for you. It ain’t going down on the job.

So, I want to talk to you about this idea this Elijah’s spirit this double portion spirit is upon us,but I want to come back to I said last week. There’s another Jesus. So, this second Corinthians chapter 11 where the apostle Paul says, hey man, you guys are receiving these other preachers. I’m a little worried because I think they could be bringing a different Jesus and what we preached. I think they could be bringing a different gospel than the one that you heard. I’m afraid that you guys are getting in communion with the counterfeit spirit and you think it’s the holy spirit. Hey, that ought to sober you up. Another Jesus, another gospel, another spirit. How would you know? The average Christian doesn’t have any discerning whatsoever. Hardly. I mean that sincerely. That is part of the turmoil in the prophetic world is because everybody follows everybody.

Well, I like him. Don’t be judging. Well, okay. If that’s your criteria, then if they say they follow Jesus and love Jesus, I guess everything they say is revelatory. All the theology they’ve got must be the Bible. No. Try the spirits whether they are of God and when a prophet prophesies at the other prophets test them. That’s the Bible says. You’ll get a Carte Blanche free theology card because you’re a prophet. We that teach are going to be judged even more strictly. Alright, let me come back over to here. John the Baptist in the spirit and power of Elijah, he’s ready for a fight. He’s ready for the fire of God to fall and he says, I’m baptizing you in water but he’s coming and he’s going to baptize you in the Holy Ghost and fire and his windowing fork. He’s got this fork. He’s going to be tossing. He’s going to toss the nations up in the air and you know what’s going to happen? He’s going to thoroughly cleanse his floor. He’s going to have fans blow and the mighty winds are going to blow. Gonna all the chaff away and going to collect all the wheat, gather the wheat into his kingdom and he’s going to burn that chaff, and all that definite rebellious nations with unquenchable fire. The Messiah is here. Our Caesar, our Alexander the Great.

Now, watch the Jewish Messiah go to work and what does Jesus do? A healing campaign. People that couldn’t walk or walking, people that couldn’t see or seeing. People are dancing and laughing and clapping their hands and having joy. The kingdom of God is being manifested. John the Baptist is very confused. I mean, He even took on Herod. He prophesied and read, go over to Mark chapter 6 for a second. What happens to poor John? I had one guy call me up. He said, Lance, don’t get involved with politics and I actually thought he was right but I couldn’t help myself. Don’t get involved with politics. John the Baptist, the moment he started getting involved with politics, he got arrested and lost his ministry. This is a major apostle told me, stay out of politics. Learn from John the Baptist. If you rebuke Herod, you could lose your head. Stay out government affairs.

I thought what the heck this is and this guy’s probably sorry to say he lost a lot of influence as Trump came along, because he practiced what he preached. Nobody was listening to what he was preaching about politics because he was staying out of it. And except in an indirect way. Mark chapter 6, watch this now King Herod verse 14 heard of him for his name had become well known. And he said, John the Baptist is risen from the dead. So, Jesus’s name has become well known. He’s casting out devils, fame has come upon him and John the Baptist is risen from the dead therefore these powers are at work in him. Well, what happened? Herod killed John the Baptist and he’s saying, oh my God. I knew it. That guy was freaking me out. That Baptist was weird, man. This is him. I know that spirit that these are the kind of supernatural things that guy could do. Others said it’s Elijah and others said it is the prophet or like one of the prophets. But when Herod heard, he said, this is John whom I beheaded. He’s risen from the dead. I’m telling you that he’s back. He’s back. He’s going to haunt me. Shows you what kind of impact John had on him. For Herod self and sent and laid hold of John and bound him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife. For he married her because John had said to Herod, it’s not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.

Now wait a second. How would a Jew be applying the word of God to a Gentile? You see, this is interesting and I never heard anybody else preaches. Because the Bible says that, man shall not live by bread alone by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. And so many of us go, well, they’re not Christian. It doesn’t apply to them. No, it does apply. The Word of God applies to everyone. John the Baptist is preaching to a Gentile and telling him he sinning based on the Jewish scripture. Well, that’s a hutzpah. Anyway, it’s not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife meddling with the guy’s marriage, his personal life. Now, this is just not the modern evangelical way of evangelizing. He should have invited him over for a meal and kind of built rapport and spoke to his heart and led him to Jesus. Therefore, Herodias held it against him and wanted to kill him.

Now, Herodias is Jezebel. Herod is Ahab. John is Elijah. These characters come back just like the modern democratic party and the activist groups are Jezebel and the McConnell Republicans are Ahab. Sorry to say the end time prophetic Pentecostal manifestation of the radical church engaging this movement the Elijah’s or John the Baptist. It’s alright here. That the scripts are already written. Jordan Peterson probably could explain it better. For Herod feared John knowing that he was a just and holy man and he protected him. This is weird. Herod feared John. He knew the guy was full of the holy ghost and he actually tried to protect him. But then an opportune day came when Herodias, her daughter danced to seductive striptease and all the men were drunk and under the influence of alcohol with the exotic dancer with all of the rich playboys in the sorted party going on there. The king says, anything you want honey anything you want up to half the kingdom. She says, I want the head of John the Baptist on a platter. And he was exceedingly sorry. But because he had said this boast in front of all of his peers, he knew he had to deliver what he said the word of a king cannot be compromised. Your whole strength of your alliances is they got to fear that what you say is law when it comes out of your mouth.

Well, the king was exceedingly sorry. He didn’t want to do it but because of his oaths and because of those who sat with him, he didn’t want to refuse her. He sent an executioner; the king brought the head of John the Baptist on a platter to the girl and the girl gave the head to the mother. It’s interesting, huh? The mother’s got trophy head of John the Baptist. Jezebel has silenced the prophet. So, she thinks but Jesus is stalking. So, John the Baptist had some problems with Jesus. Because he had seen the widowing fork in his hand. And Jesus is showing up doing miracles. Matthew chapter 11 says, Jesus had to console John and say John, John don’t be offended brother. What could possibly offend you? Well, offending you is when you’ve got Jesus, the right Jesus in the wrong season. You’ve got loving Jesus when he’s going to be judging Jesus. You’ve got compassionate Jesus when he’s going to be tell the truth Jesus. It happens in real life folks. As my friend John Kelly said, the biggest mistakes he ever made in his ministry was when he was a father and he should have been a general and the time when he was a general when he should have been a father. It’s hard to know. Are you the one or should we look for someone else? John says, this is called the power of expectation.

Now, I want you to think about this. What was John seeing? He was seeing the end-time Jesus. He’s seeing your Jesus. Nobody else is preaching this. I want you to listen to me. John had the wrong season. Now, watch how this works. John the Baptist sees Jesus with fire. Jesus with judgement. Here we go. John the Baptist with the spirit and power of Elijah sees Jesus and he’s coming to him and he’s looking for the fire of God and he’s looking for this fire to deal with the nations and his enemies. And what does Jesus do? The fire comes to purifying, for cleansing, for healing and delivering. To pull out a people for himself.

Well now, what’s interesting is Jesus now comes. Let’s see if I can get another pen here. Jesus comes as the lamb of God. You guys tracking me? What John saw was the lion of God. Jesus came as a priest to offer himself as a sacrifice. What John saw was a king coming to exercise rule on the earth. So, when he’s looking for the lion and the king who’s coming and he sees the lamb who’s a suffering sacrifice, priestly anointing rather than the warrior anointing, he’s justifiably what? What did I get it wrong? Jesus says, don’t be offended. Don’t be offended. Don’t suddenly become a snowflake. Don’t get all woke on me. Look at the miracles. I’m doing. This is me. Only God can do that stuff. I got a plan. You’re in it. You’re and fine. Don’t get discouraged in prison. I’ll be murdered also. I’m keeping my head together. Keep your head together. The father’s got this thing sorted out.

Well, John the Baptist in prison but here’s what I want you to see. The prophets of old, just like us. Sometimes, they see prophecy passed. So, you’ve got like Moses writing about in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. He wasn’t there but God shows how the creation happened. Jeremiah talks about the world that then was and the great Tohu wa-bohu,which is the language used in the Hebrew of Genesis, which about the world was made of wasteland and then God inhabited. He’s given vision of things past. But the prophet can also see the things of now. What God is going to do with Syria. What God is going to do with Ahab. What God is going to do with Jezebel and so there are times when the prophets are prophesying directly to the warfare and the battles and the politics of their day.

But then there’s going to be Jesus’ day and behold Jesus coming riding upon a cult. The prophet Zechariah predicts he’s going to come in Nehemiah and Daniel are prophesying Daniel prophesies the walls are going to be built in a troublesome time the Messiah is going to come. He’ll be cut off in half of his years. These wonderful prophecies about Jesus, they could be talking about one time zone, the past, one time zone. Now one time the day that Jesus but then there’s the kingdom which is future. It’s the last days. Please catch this. John the Baptist had a problem. The problem was he had the definite spirit of Elijah. He was fulfilling that but he saw what was happening now was supposed in his time was supposed to be the Jesus. Here’s the flag of the last days. He sees the lion. He sees the king coming back to rule. He sees the judge of the nations. And thought it was supposed to happen then. It was going to happen in our day.

Here’s our problem. Where do you think we are? We see Jesus right now. We see Jesus the lamb of God. And he’s actually Jesus the lion of God. It’s still mercy, but it’s mercy because the judge is coming. It’s still forgiveness, but it’s forgiveness because your days are numbered. It’s the judge offering you terms of peace before he comes to execute judgement. It’s not the therapist coming to try to give you a baby hug. It’s going to be the ruler of the earth coming to set things in order. You see, John the Baptist saw the end-time ministry of Jesus and thought it was supposed to happen in his day. That’s why he was thrown up and we are in a reverse conundrum. We’re looking for the present-day ministry of Jesus like I’m looking for the lid to my thing here. We’re looking for the present-day ministry of Jesus. Hold on right there. To be Asbury Revival, mercy, and I believe it’s a true revival and move of God, but it’s the kind that most religious folks like. Repentance, mercy, worship, testimony, church. It’s all going to stay there. I’m sorry. We’re all together in Asbury till it hits the streets because Jesus is coming back.

Alright, now let me show you what John the Baptist is saw. You guys catch this so far? He sees the wrong timing. The prophets can’t always see depth perception. They can’t see the depth. It’s all present to them. Here’s what he sees. Go to second Thessalonians. I want you to think about running into this Jesus when he comes back. You can’t wait to go see Jesus why all these pictures of Jesus, these prophets that are prophesying Jesus and all these kind of like Willy Wonka manifestations. I worry about how true they are. Now, I want you to see this in in second Thessalonians chapter 1, verse 6, “Since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with tribulation those who trouble you. Paul saying, hey, it’s perfectly legit for God to put into the tribulation, people that are creating trouble for you, he’ll give them trouble. Sorry, it’s a God. God is avenging in real time Madeleine Murray O’Hara did more damage to the church with her atheism, her obnoxious, aggressive atheism, getting the Bible out of school, getting the ten commandments out of school, tacking religious expression. Whatever happened to her, I think she got chopped up by some serial killer in the wilderness. You go read how did Madeline Murray O’Hara die. It was grizzly and terrible. It’s like, okay, she served the devil and the devil gave her a blind date.

Tribulation does get repaid in this time. It’s not always in the next life and to give you who are a troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels. Oh, he’s coming back with mighty angels not powder-puff cupid Iles and they’re coming in flaming fire, taking vengeance. Oh, look at that word vengeance. Totally inappropriate. I don’t know if the Bible is right when it says taking vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel, two groups. Those who don’t God are the people that have not heard and have rejected, but those who don’t obey are the people that have heard but aren’t obeying. I don’t put the fear of God. He had, I heard someone tell me the other day that Benny Hen had testified that he had a dream that he was in a line of people and there’s a preacher. He thought was going to go to heaven and he actually went to hell and the Lord warned Benny Hen that if he didn’t change his ways, he was going to end up the same way.

Now that don’t put the fear of God on you. You think, I’m telling you something. I’m telling you;you can go ahead and wrap yourself in the theology of false comfort or you can get acquainted with the Bible and the fear of God can give you a holy ghost readiness in your heart to know that you’re right with God. But I’ll tell you what, just people get mad. Why don’t we believe that? You just help you just react. Man, you’re got one parachute you’re going to jump with. Make sure it’s packed correctly. So, Jesus is coming back in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God and those who don’t obey the God that they know. These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his power. You should be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his power. When he comes in that day to be glorified in his saints and to be admired among all those who believe because our testimony among you is believed.

Now so what you got here is the is the Jesus that John the Baptist saw. And when this Jesus comes, he is going to come and he’s going to deal with his enemies. He is going to deal with his enemies. Now brethren concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to him we ask you do not be students shaken in mind or trouble by spirit by word or by letter as if it was from us as though the day of Christ had already come. Let no one deceive you by any means for that day will not come unless a falling away comes first. That’ll shake you up. There’s going to be a number of people that are going to be looking for like John the Baptist, a different end time than what shows up. And the result is going to be their disillusion by what happens and they start to doubt what they’re believing.

I would rather be tougher on this on myself and say that I believe that Jesus is coming back as a ruler of judge and right now his disposition is the disposition of the merciful God that the Godwas coming to judge the nations. John the Baptist had the axe laid at the root of the trees and everything thrown into the fire with a thoroughly cleaned out floor. That’s coming back in Thessalonians, but what Jesus was doing was he’s pouring out his own life as a sacrifice to die on a tree rather than to cut down the tree. Now when is this right timing going to happen? I would suggest you go to Matthew 13. We only got one minute left, but let me just park the plane here so I can pick it up when I get back on it.

Matthew chapter 13 and it’s verse 36. Jesus sent the multitude away and went into a house and his disciples came to him saying, explained us the parable of the tares of the field and Jesus answered them and said, he who sows the good seed is the son of man, the field is the world. The good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, the tares of the sons of the wicked ones. Satan plants people. Remember that. The enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age. The reapers are the angels. Therefore, as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so shall it be at the end of the age. The son of man’s going to send out his angels. They’re going to gather everything that offends and everything that’s lawless. It didn’t say here everything that hasn’t been saved. It’s talking about behavior. You can say, you’re a Christian but if you’re offending and you’re lawless, you’re in the fire pile. But what I’m trying to tell you is this is what John the Baptist saw. He saw the end of the age with the fire and I’m telling you this is the end of the age Jesus.

Now, the good news is, you can Be in a place where Jesus and you are chill. You’re in a good relationship with him, where he appears to you, where he’s talking to you, where he’s comforting you, where he’s consoling you. But I really do believe the fear of the Lord is going to have to do an adjustment in us because we have a different gospel being preached. The gospel of potentiality, the gospel of comfort, the gospel of hope, the gospel that we’re going to win beat our enemies and I’m worried that we’re falling to the trap that even John the Baptist fell into. And that is expecting something that isn’t showing up. It’s a different Jesus than the lamb. It’s the lion returning. And so, we’re going to pick this the next broadcast.

By the way, many of you want to support the work that we’re doing. You’re asking, how can I help you, Lance? Well, just help me. I need your help to get the message out. Text me. Text Lance 41444. 4 is the number of the four corners of the earth. North, south, east, west. The gospel goes all over the world. 41444. Text Lance to 41444 and help me. Help me. Help me,Rhonda. I need all the help I can get financially. We’re reaching out. We’re ourself out there believing that people need to be shaken up to waken up and I think we’re going to see a glorious move of God. God bless you. This is Lance Wallnau signing off until our next time. I’ll be right back here at this desk picking up where we left off.
