How To Separate Your Spirit From Your Soul and See The Unseen

Lance: Welcome back to the Level 10 Living. The easiest best part of my week is the week where I have to focus on the Word of God and the teaching on how to live in the fulfillment of what God called you to do. After you become a Christian, assuming that you guys are large part of my audience is already like people of faith. 

Carl: Making a lot of assumptions there, Lance.

Lance: Well, I mean, I could maybe make an assumptions there and it might be true but let me just say this, the most important decision you make after that really is going to be what you do with the destiny God gave you. Actually, what I was going to is. The most important decision making for that is who you marry. And I remember that from Gordon Lindsey. I remember reading when I was a single guy. He said, you get saved. That’s the most important decision that affects eternity but the decision that affects your temporal life more than anything is your selection of a life mate. Because that partnership is going to affect what you do on Earth and it’s interesting, right?

Mercedes: Correct.

Lance: So, your marriage is going to be a major factor.

Carl: Could you say that your mate helps define your fate?

Lance: Your mate helps define your fate. Mercedes, what are your thoughts on that? You have a background in mate and psychology?

Mercedes: Yes, I do have a mate and a degree in psychology. I would agree with your mate determines your fate, just like I agree. If you want to cope, you got to have hope.

Mercedes: Alright, let’s go.

Lance: Doctor Steven Covey, learned from many of these mentors in my lifetime Doctor Stephen Covey was one of them and he was talking about this idea of your finding your authentic voice. And always struck me as being so powerful this idea that anyone who’s really an individual that stands out is not a replica. They have characteristics of others, but they have to be their own unique expression, and that relates to our new birth as followers of Jesus. Which opens up a new capacity for the operation of intuition conscience and community. Alright, let me stop right here. I was doing a broadcast the other night with Jesse Duplantis, and he’s talking about this guy. I love him and he succeeds and he stays in faith and he stays in the holy ghost. I mean he’s got a balance type of handling stuff, but he was down there at the, I don’t know the LA Rams or somebody they brought him into to the football team the owner to go talk to the men and he said, they’re all bored. He got up there and he looked at them all.

He said, let me tell you something I got more money than any of you. He said, that got their attention. He said, and I’m telling you something my money doesn’t get me because it’s God that got me that money. A lot of you are going to head down a rover you get that money and then 5 or 10 years from now you’re going to be flat broke busted divorced because you don’t know what to do with the money God got you. He says, so I want you to pay attention to this preacher, so I’m going to talk to you. He said, but when he told them because they were just like oh cellphones and like putting up into me. When he told them he says, he goes, hey, let me tell you something exactly you don’t think I got nothing to say I got more money than any you got. And at that point they put their phones down.

You have to establish what your authority is on a subject. Everybody’s groped and know what authority do you have to speak on these matters. This is the big issue they have with Jesus. This is the issue they’re going to have with you. But what authority do you do these things? They said,imagine that they said that to the son of the living God the Messiah. The populous movement that God is raising up in the Earth is a movement of people fulfilling their destiny right now to live life where God called them to, and there are elite powers and principalities that plan to block you from getting to that place. Only the anointing can cause that mountain to move. Jesse Duplantis said something on a broadcast recently that got to me. He said, when it comes to investing, we’re talking about Bitcoin and about the FX scandal and what’s going on?

Mercedes: FTX, yeah.

Lance: The FTX right. He said, well, he said, I pretty much go by what my spirit leads me. The spirit leads me to do and if you’re led by the spirit, you won’t make any mistakes. He says, so I’m very spirit led and that I’ve never been burnt once because I don’t get involved with what I don’t understand and what God doesn’t lead me into. I only do what God shows me. Now, when he said that, it intrigued me because I remember Kenneth Hagin saying, the secret to having success in life is to be led by your spirit. Notice he said, your spirit and that got me really excited because anyone could back into being led by the spirit and then it’s like, well, everybody thinks they’re hearing God. They’re making dumb stuff. I mean, people are going out killing people. Well, go avoid God told me to do it.

So, that’s not it being led by your spirit is a distinction and here’s the distinction. You’re a 3-part being. Spirit, soul, and body. The Holy Spirit of God comes into your spirit and frankly, that’s what makes you born again and this concerns me. Because if you’ve never asked Jesus to come into your heart, there literally is this coming into your spirit. And when the spirit of God comes in, there is a quickening. I’ve been with an evangelist recently and I watch this happen at a restaurant. The guy is definitely an evangelist. I mean, he wasn’t trying to do show and tell, but he leads people to the Lord walking down the street. It’s not because he’s doing something you can’t do or I can’t do. It’s just that he does it and as an equipping evangelist, he said, anyone could do this, man. You just got to do it. He got this gal to come over the table to get her. She was our waitress, but I’m watching him out of the corner of my eye not trying to pay attention to it too much because I was trying to have a conversation with another person but I’m observing. Oh, I think he’s evangelized witnessing over here.

Well, he ends up praying with the girl and she responded and he said, what happened? She goes, well, I just felt that. See, she didn’t have any schooling on what to look for. I had it happen to me you don’t have to have this happen to be born again. It’s by faith, but it’s amazing the number of people that have an experience when God comes into their spirit and he said, well, that’s what the Bible talks about. Jesus said, I have come that you might have life. That’s the Holy Spirit of Godjust came into you, and it’s like, wow. Well, how does it feel? That’s always the same thing. Warm, it feels like energy coming into them. Something’s going on, folks.

So, here’s the deal. I want to talk quickly about what the technology is that God gave you so that you never have to make a mistake. Wouldn’t it be great anytime you make an errors because you weren’t listening to your spirit? How could you listen to your spirit? Well, because your spirit’s where the spirit of God dwells. The Bible says in Romans that, “His spirit bears witness with my spirit, not my soul”. So, Mercedes and I get an argument sometimes as you would do when you’re working together. I get an argument with Carl.

Mercedes: I get an argument with people.

Lance: I get an arguments with Chelsea.

Mercedes: Okay, good.

Lance: It’s just not me then. I get an arguments with everybody that works with me.

Carl: Even himself sometimes, ladies and gentlemen.

Lance: I even argue with myself.

Mercedes: I just want to say what’s the common denominator there though.

Lance: I’m at the scene of all crimes. I’m in the argument. It’s my Jewish history. Spirit, soul, body. I want to break this out real fast for all my peeps out there because it’s important you get it.

Carl: Peep game ladies and gentlemen.

Lance: In Romans, Mercedes and Carl going to look up the Spirit Bears Witness with my spirit.

Mercedes: Okay.

Lance: And look it up. It’s Gonna be Romans chapter four, five, or six, for his spirit bears with my spirit. So, God‘s spirit bears witness with your spirit in your soul. That’s where you have your intellect. That’s where you have your memory.

Mercedes: So, Romans 8:16, “The spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God‘s children”.

Lance: The spirit testifies with our spirit that we are God‘s children. Spirit bears witness with our spirit. So, we have his spirit and then we have my spirit. Now, the Apostle Paul says in Thessalonians, I pray that your whole and entire spirit, soul, and body be sanctified under the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Where is that verse? And I pray God your entire spirit, soul, and body be sanctified. That pen’s dying. The soul has to do with the mind, I just put intellective memory here. It’s the mind, the will, the emotions, the emotions connect over into the body. With your 5 senses.

Mercedes: So, this looks like Lance’s first Thessalonians 5:23. “Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely. And may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless in the coming days of our Lord Jesus Christ”.

Lance: Thank you. Romans 8:16 that, “The spirit of God bears witness with our spirit”. Meaning his spirit and my spirit and then you say, well, what do you mean my spirit? In first Thessalonians 5:23, the Apostle Paul says, I pray that God sanctify you entirely spirit, soul, and body. I always remember brother Hagin saying, people quote it wrong. They quoted body, soul, and spirit because they start from the outer man in instead of the inner man out. Spirit, soul, body. Now, what happened was man was a living soul or a soul you could say walking with thelife of God in him in the garden and Satan separated man’s spirit from his soul and body. If you want to know what happened when man fell, his spirit became darkened and the spirit of man, this is a verse in Proverbs. Look this one up Mercedes.

“The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord that enlighteneth the innermost parts of the belly”. The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord that enlighteneth the spiritual in the inner parts of the belly. We’ll find that one right now on that rapid response team over there.

Mercedes: Proverbs 20:27.

Lance: Alright, read it out loud please.

Mercedes: Sure. This one says, “The spirit of man is the lamp of the Lord searching all the inner depths of his heart”.

Lance: There you go. King James

Mercedes: Its old belly, it depends on king James.

Lance: It depends on old King James’s belly. Heart is the is the new King James. But it refers to a searching of the inner and read it again real slow.

Mercedes: Okay, I just went into strongs one second. I was going to look up belly. This one says, “The spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord searching all the inner depths of his belly”.

Lance: So, of his belly or.

Mercedes: Or heart.

Lance: Or his heart.

Mercedes: I was going to look it up in strongs, but then you asked me a question.

Lance: Okay, and so this is so important that we catch what we’re talking about here. Spirit, soul, and body because this is God‘s 5G technology. You’re always hearing about this 5G technology that’s coming out in the world. Well God has a technology for the human being and if you listen to your spirit, it will impact your soul and your body. But I’m saying this for a reason,because the fact that these 3, in terms of the soul, you have the mind, the will, and the emotions. In the mind, I believe could be a function of memory, things that you can recall. Intellect, logic, things that you can logically think about. I should just put logic there and I would also say imagination. Imagination, logic, and memory because I love breaking down but these are things in the soul.

Now, if you’re limited to just what you can imagine, what you can think through and what you can recall from the past and then make decisions based on that and try to move your feelingsfrom the indecision. This is how the world does it but you have an advantage as a believer. Your advantage is you’ve got this augmented by your spirit, which is where God‘s spirit is talking to your spirit, which is by the way the reason why so many of you say, well, how do I know that’s God, Lance? How do I know, you know why you don’t know if something’s God? Because it sounds like you. Do you know why it always sounds like you when God‘s talking to you? I never forget day that a preacher finally explained it to me. Because his spirit’s talking to your spirit and your spirit sounds like you.

Carl’s spirit sounds like Carl. Mercedes spirit sounds like Mercedes. Lance’s spirit sounds like Lance. It’s just that there’s a different kind of an aspect to God‘s voice and I’m going to give it to you now. If the soul is the mind, the will, and the emotions. If the body is the 5 physical senses, Then the spirit of man, catch this. It’s really important, is where the Holy Spirit comes into you. Proverbs says, the spirit of man has a function. It searches. It searches. Man, this is so powerful. If you go into the New Testament, you’ll find out that when I pray in the spirit, my spirit prays. Paul says, my spirit, not my soul, my spirit prays, search My spirit prays searching and now we’re going back into the searching the blueprint of God for my life. When you pray in the spirit, when you pray in tongues, you’re searching the database of what God has for your life.

Imagine if people really understood that, and if you get it, it pops over into your mind as a thought. It’s God. How many of you have had God say something to you and you look and you missed it but God was talking to you all along. Let me ask you ladies a question. Have you ever had woman’s intuition? Have you ever had; I don’t know why they call women’s intuition? I imagine men have it too, but the function of the spirit man, the technology if the mind, will, and emotions is the soul and the 5 physical senses is the body. I agree that the neurological path of those emotions and the neurochemical things form a link to your emotions so that you can trauma or happiness, pain, pleasure become emotional programs neuro linked into your five physical senses which is why habits are so hard to change. You got your soul and your body locked up on you. Takes a strong spirit to break the hold of your thinking and your emotions and your own physiology that’s neurologically wired you to react a certain way.

The spirit of man is 3 factors, intuition. This is where you sense outside of the limitation of your body and your soul. You have a 6th sense. This is where you pick up on things that you know before they happen. This is where you sense stuff that you can’t you just get a sense. Some women can meet a person that their husband’s going to do business with or hang out with and it’s a weird thing. They could tell right away and they don’t know why, but they could tell they trust him or don’t trust him. It’s like an instinct. What is that? Intuition or discernment. It’s called the deserting of spirits. You could just know something’s right or something’s off. Guys know what I’m talking about? Intuition, conscience. The other factor of the spirit of man is where conscience comes from because conscience is a deep knowing. It’s a deep knowing of right and wrong. Conscience can be damaged. Conscience can be hardened. Conscience can be cauterized. It’s like when guys said like science can con you, conscience. But nevertheless, the apostle Paul in the Book of Acts and all the apostles talk about having a clear conscience with God and their conscience is part of what they consulted regarding what their decisions were, because conscience lies outside the realm of just your soul. It’s a deeper faculty of the spirit of the mind where you intuitly know things before they happen. Things you explain how you know them. This is sometimes called an inner knower.

Your conscience is like picking up on, it’s like the Book of Act. It’s like the ten commandments, the law written in your heart. You kind of know this is right and this is wrong. This is good. This is bad. But the third characteristic of the spirit of man is communion. Now just bear with me for a second. Communion. By the way this is Kenneth Hagin. This is Derek Prince. This is Lester Summer. I’m not giving to you my own unaided research. This is after like 50 years of men and women of God. 150 years collectively of walking in the spirit and doing the experimentation on this. Intuition is knowing what your natural brain couldn’t know. Conscience is having a witness of what is a moral law written on your heart as to what is right and what is wrong even if you want to talk yourself out of it and communion is the ability commune with God.

For this reason, with my soul, I can commune with the realm of men. With my body, I can commune with the realm of earth in the senses, five physical senses but with my spirit, I’m communing with the realm of God. God on your spirit as being the part of you that communes with him which is why he talks to your spirit. So, in communion, this is where I experience GodThis is where the rest of God comes from. This is where the peace of God comes from. This is where the joy of the Lord comes from. This is why when that hits a church and people are laughing and it’s what’s so funny. Well, they’re laughing because the joy of the Lord. It’s like a punchline to a joke that doesn’t hit your head and everybody’s laughing. It’s a strange thing. It’s a real thing.

The peace of God, the rest is God, the joy of God. You can have the zeal of the Lord of hosts. Any of God‘s attributes are experienced in communion with God. It’s kind of like you experience God in the realm of your spirit communes with the realm of the spirit. Your soul communes with the realm of men. And your body communions through the realm of the physical senses. So, man to man, soul to soul, people can communicate, but Paul said, henceforth, knowing no man after the flesh. We only know them once we get to know their spirit.

Now, the reason why I took time to articulate this is because living strong out of your spirit means you’ve got to put the Word of God into your mind and so that you can in a sense meditate upon it and let this work of the word of God get deep into the inside of you so that your spirit man can be strong and rooted in the spirit of God will bring to your memory. Jesus said, he will bring to your memory all that I’ve spoken to you. So, God‘s going to work with your mind and remind you what he spoke to you. There’re times when God communicates with you in the spirit.One guy put it this way and I thought it was interesting. He said, you go to God because you want to have him speak to you about what to do. You want him to talk to you and he wants you to commune with him. He wants you in the word.

Mercedes: Totally.

Lance: He wants you to be meditating upon him and in a sense doing a different kind of work. He said, but don’t you know that God will slip Bob Jones taught this. He’ll slip something into your pocket while you’re there. He slips something in. It’s almost like if you want to bless somebody to stick $100 bill in some place where they’re going to find it but while they’re communing with you, they go out but then when they leave, the thought was there comes to them. Then, it just occurred to me. I need to call so and so. Now, what happen was you had your priorities right and while you were there, it’s kind of like children. If children always frisk you when I come home from traveling, if they only want to be with me to give them something, it gets to be kind of shallow and the kid just wants to see it. If you got nothing to give, well, forget it. I don’t want to be with you, but you want them to be with you and then discover that out of that comes the gifts.

So, your communion with God does something in your spirit that allows your conscience to hear more clearly. A friend of mine had to make a major decision in his business. He went to the word, but he could his conscience was open and the conscience is an ally because it tells you this is right and this is wrong and you’ll never fail doing what’s right. So, Jesse Duplantis said, I never lose money because I only listen to my spirit and I’ve not been led wrong yet and I stick with what I understand God tell me to do. Well, evidently, he must doesn’t mean he doesn’t read about real estate, doesn’t read about stocks. He’s an educated man he reads about those things, but then God will bear witness with his spirit. That’s what’s really happening. Now you’re looking at me kind of funny there because…

Mercedes: Well, I just don’t think that the barometer for doing God‘s will should be if I’m succeeding more. Because we just talked about in our last podcast Joseph who is led through trial. I mean there’s so many people who go through dramatic loss in life and to think that well God‘s not in that. I mean God was in Joseph’s life for sure. So, I was just saying like a barometer of am I in God‘s will? Am I walking in the spirit may not always be the thing that I feel like doing? Obedience is the most important thing.

Lance: Well, it is and so I’m pointing out Jesse because what I realize is that I remember some brother Hagin said that if you’re led by your spirit, you’ll never miss the mark and where we miss the mark is when we’re led by our head or led by our flesh.

Mercedes: Well, the question is what’s the mark?

Lance: Right. Okay. So. Yeah. Therefore, Peter was called to Jesus says to Peter that when you’re old someone’s going to, you’re going to stretch forth your hands and someone’s going to take you where you do not want to go. For Peter, success was going to his martyrdom and it was going to what he didn’t want to do in a place he didn’t want to go. So, and I suppose there’s all kinds of people listening when you’re doing a broadcast and there’s people that are going through well upsets and reversals. What I’m trying to say to you is, you need to double down on fortifying and I’m talking to myself too. You need to go with the flow of what the Holy Ghost is telling you to do and to do that, you need to be strong in your spirit and to do that, you need to know that intuition, conscious, and communion becomes amplified by time with the word of God, and in the presence of God.

Mercedes: Amen.

Lance: And that the great mistakes that we make sometimes so that we don’t let our mind, our emotions, our memory, our imagination, be visited God who wants to speak to the natural apparatus. But he wants to do it in a sense coming from a place where it’s by walking with him,you’ll be like Joshua said. What’s that first chapter Joshua? “Take heed to the word and don’t let it depart from your mouth, for there and you shall find good success”. I believe it’s Joshua 1:9.I’m going to be doing a conference next week and the verse in the conference that was chosen for the conference that I’m going to is Joshua 1:9. Let me share it to you right here. It says, what do you got there for Joshua 1:9? Anybody got it?

Mercedes: That was be strong and courageous.

Lance: “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage. Be not afraid. Neither be thou dismayed”. Here’s the key. “For the Lord thy God is with you wherever you go”. In other words, if you’re being led by the Lord. Then you’re going in the direction where God sent you. And you could be strong and courageous if you’re in the battle God set up.

Mercedes: Amen.

Lance: If you’re in the contest God has for you. That’s the clashing of swords. So, this chapter lesson 5 on page 23 is talking about the battle of atmospheres. We’re in a place where every atmosphere has influence in it. Yes?

Mercedes: Why should you not? I wanted to get a thought in if you were.

Lance: Okay, go ahead. Go ahead.

Mercedes: You’re on a roll. I don’t want to interrupt.

Lance: No, no, no, go ahead.

Mercedes: But as you’re talking with, I love what you’re talking about. The of God and how that feeds your spirit and the importance of really strengthening your spirit man and I had this thought a few years ago. Remember like in the 90s, 80s and 90s when the big thing was like you didn’t want HIV to go into full-blown aids, and it’s like you really wanted to control your HIV situation so that you wouldn’t end up with deadly aids. That’s how I think the human condition is. That as a Christian, like you’ve got to manage your sin nature so that it doesn’t turn into Full-blown aids in your case just completely backslanted, adultery, fornication, deception, strife, all the things that Galatians outlines that are like the fruit of the flesh. And so, in order to do that, you have to take your medicine every single day and the medicine is the word of God.

The medicine is time with the Lord and if you can do that, then you can manage your HIV and it’s not going to turn into full-blown medical crisis. Because that’s some of what like what you’re saying here is true for the Christian Believer. But I think we’ve all lived at a time in our life where you haven’t had the quality time with the Lord. You haven’t renewed your mind with the word of God and it’s like your spirit man literally gets weak. It’s like sick. It’s like the spirit man becomes sick.

Lance: So, I’m missing the HIV apart because I don’t understand how HIV. I guess you’re making a physical analogy that everyone should know. HIV is an immunity problem.

Mercedes: Well, HIV is like the beginning of Aids and if left untreated, it turns into Aids and so it’s my point is you have to treat your HIV. You have to treat your medical.

Lance: Which is your susceptibility.

Mercedes: Yes.

Lance: It’s your immune your immunity, your immunization to resist the virus is low.

Mercedes: Yeah.

Lance: And then it gets to the point where you become diseased if you don’t guard your immunity.

Mercedes: Yeah, and so and that’s what I’m saying like with the flesh. It’s like the flesh wants what the flesh wants. It will always be drawn to those things. So, if you’re not renewing your mind daily if you’re not spending time in the Word of God. Because some of this too like and I see it and there’s extremes on both sides like in the Hyper charismatic Pentecostal phase area. The spoken word at times feels like it takes precedent over the written word, and the written word should always the Word of God should always be the lens in which you’re filtering what God‘s saying to me. Is this really God? Am I really hearing God? Because it should line up with the Word of God. You’re like, I think you’re the one that tells the story. Somebody might have told the story a while ago where I was in church and it’s like, I got a prophetic word. I want to I’m supposed to marry that man over there and that’s my husband there and the guy’s like, well,you can’t because he’s married to that lady there. It’s like well no but God told me and you’re like,well, no God didn’t tell you that because it doesn’t line up with what God‘s word says. So, there’s also an element on our side of the equation that like are you hearing from the Lord and it better line up with what this says.

Lance: Building up yourself in the most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost. Being able to see God reshaping your mind. You don’t become without a brain. God comes in and starts to direct your thoughts. Cast down imagination. Build up that idea. And you start to have a governor on the inside of you. Even your body will start to take on. New soundness because your soul and your spirit are walking with the power of the Holy Spirit. So, Father I thank you for everyone that is part of this audience today. I ask you to bless them.
