Intro: The Lance Wallnau Show is coming at you live from the Master himself with a special broadcast taken from one of Lance’s most recent appearances. Tune in and get ready for some major revelation. 

Lance: I deal with all kinds of different profiles from Myers Brace to Strong’s Taylor to Enneagram to Disc. I find the Disc is a little bit easier than most of them just because it’s the fastest one you can go through. And if you look at it the first time, you say, you already know that I’m a Daniel and I want to see. But here’s how you learn. There’s always more depth to a subject and so as I’ve been looking at this, I’m realized, you know something? There’re more dimensions to this thing because I talked to earlier about the motivational gifts how we want to embrace the different types of people that God wants to send. But it’s easy to have favor and rapport with someone and release in a sense the spirit of God in order to connect with different people. If you speak their language. And since you already know you once I show you which one you are or you already maybe know who you are.

You’d be surprised at how many people know something cognitively but don’t actually apply it. And I’m speaking as someone who teaches. I know this stuff and as I’ve been going over it the Lord says you really don’t, because you could. But when you’re with people, are you actually talking to them in light of the language they speak? Are you still talking to people in the language you speak? I thought, oh man. Whoa. And I was kind of like little bit of a rebuke because I’m suggesting that if you’re an expert people reader, it’s like speed dating or people reading, you could really leverage some enormous things and what I’m going to, I want to talk about while you’re here. Couple of techniques, couple of skills and it’s amazing how much power you have. If you would take the time to simply observe what language the other person speaks.

So, for instance, you may be a touchy, feely, kinesthetic, hugger lover but I’m going to promise you, there’s at least two out of four people in this room that don’t want you touching them and you’re not building a bridge when you go hug them. You’re wording them out. So, you already know you. Out of four types of people in the world, you already know you. That’s beautiful. You only got to know the other three and the other three is so conspicuous. If you just observe speed reading. So, I want to talk to you about speed reading is the faster bird. You may know what your profile is but even better than that is to read someone else’s fast and then, if you want to really get into the elegance of it, we’re going to go not only that way but you’re actually going to go into the depths of this. Let’s take a look at how this works real fast. Those people that are in the room that are fast paced. Let’s talk about Paul and Barnabas. We had that big breakup. Big breakup in the Bible.

Do you realize that was a classic setup? Because Barnabas was people focused and Paul was task focused and the two of them heated up under pressure had their divisions exploited. It had the distinctions, their strengths exploited. Fast paced, slow paced, real simple way to analyze stuff. Who have you been sitting with? Who you’ve been talking to? Do they talk fast? I talk fast. Do they talk? Are they methodic? Are they structured and do they have a cadence in their speaking? Rabbi or the cadence? A certain structure and rhythm? Is it a modulated tone? More restrained? Or is it animated and loud? Like that? Like my son Carl getting excited? So, you’ve got fast, you got slow but there’s only two kinds of people, people that gesture, reserved, or gesture broadly. Talk fast, walk fast, or moving around doing stuff and if they’re, that’s a certain kind of energy or they’re slow.

So, off hand, how many people would say that that they themselves are more fast paced more fast paced and they move fat, they talk fast, they’re hustling around. How many of you are more methodic? It’s not slow. It’s really methodic is the word. I just put slow because I’m lazy. How many of can’t tell if you’re fast or slow. Thank you. So, this is the other simple one. You’re either task focused or you’re people focused. So, who are you more sympathetic with? Paul or Barnabas? Paul. Oh. Barnabas, huh. Here’s the reality. You’re either fast or slow. Fast talk, fast move, fast to the point or you’re slow. You’re either louder or quieter. You’re either filling the space, talk a little loud there in the cabin on the plane or you’re what was that? What was that people leaning over? What did you say? So, you’re the one or the other.

Now, here’s the fun part. Because I want you guys to do this before tonight when you come back. We’re going to have a little bit of an interesting session with some live people up here on the platform I think. If your fast task meaning move, get it done, get it going. That’s your dominant, forceful, direct, straightforward style of get it done. That’s what we would call your dominant style. Fast, task, D. Where are the people that are fast task? In the Bible, they’re called like lion, the four faces of Jesus really on the on the veil of the curtain that was in the Holy of Holies. Four faces of Jesus. Lion. Eagle. Oxen and the face of man. It’s right here. It’s these styles. So how many lines do we have in the room here? You’re pretty much task focused aggressive bottom linelike to get it done. I wanna move forward. You appreciate the entertainment but you don’t want to waste your time.

Okay, now if you’re fast pace, energetic, talk, run, jump. This is the I part, this is the face of man communication, the gregarious part of the Godhead. What’s interesting to me is that the tone and you have this in the back here on your papers here. You got fast, you got slower, you got your task versus people, you got your task versus people stuff. Imma notice something. The tone of the dominant person’s demanding. It’s kind of like that’s the way you are. You like to demand stuff. It’s a little bit like Linda there today. Shouting out there from the table. You’re only at 6. Took me a while to figure out who it was but after my eyes focused, I said, I figured it was Linda. Kinda demand there. Control the realm. Take over. I’m an eye. I know and you are an eye. And so, if you’re a D who thinks you’re an I then you are going to be friendly.

Anyway, so but I want you to see this eye. People fast, people fast. Annabelle, for instance, has a lot of eyes. Can you see it when she’s jumping around here? I like little seven-year-old. I keep sending Liberty Sparks up here. She’s so fun. She’s so hilarious. I want y’all to see what free child energy is. So, like I had to get my liberty dose right now and then I go but I’m looking for liberty because I need to have energy. But like she’s so hilarious because I said, honey, here got to go up because her dad’s doing like I think he’s on the stage over here doing the live stream and so he’s talking. Larry Sparks there talking and trying to make sense, got his Bible and there she is jumping around behind him. I’d love it. I’m looking at the picture she’s like jumping up and down. But what was so funny to me and so brilliant is I said, “Honey there’s the music. You got to go up on the stage. You got to dance”.

She goes, oh. She goes up there and here’s the amazing thing it was between the first song and the second song and there was no music. And she’s going and I thought I never would have known; shes got the music in her head. She didn’t even need it in the room. I would have been like waiting for the music to start but she’s like jumping and leaping. I’m thinking what’s she doing? I said, get up and dance. She’s dancing without the music. Then the music kicked in. She was right there. And she was trying to call me up and I thought, oh I don’t know. I’d do it, but I don’t know. People are ready for that.

Annabelle also the nurtured, methodic, sensitive my beautiful wife. Highest, so the highest people here by the way Abraham highest Peter ID. How do we know? Because he’s basically cutting people’s ears off or cussing or then he’s repenting he feels bad. He feels like he’s a loser and you know he’s embarrassed and he has to get reinstated in front of everybody, so he’s back again self-esteem back again. So, if you have this ID mix then it’s a great profile because the I is people focused, the D is task force. And basically, what are you missing? You’re missing this part down here which is the more nurturing, this is the oxen and so what’s happening is the connection isn’t happening with people at the level it’s supposed to happen. 65%, 70% of people arrest this but most of the folks that come to my program are not. I don’t know why it is but we have a percentage of you are.

This is the Abraham style, but the S is the more nurturing. So, you see if you got connection and nurture then you’re not basically driving us to new heights you’re picking up the stragglers and helping them out. By the way, of the three which one do you think is going to be taken advantage of the most. That’s why we need to be wiser serpents. They get taken advantage of by other people and then finally got to see over here. This is the eagle, oxen, man, lion, eagle, and of course, the eagle is methodic. Never, I shouldn’t use the word slow because in fact, they’re methodic. They’re not slow. They might be driving the speed limit actually. Everybody else is speeding.

Lance: These are people that aren’t moved by the emotion, the appeal, the music, their analytic. They’re taking an information and so they’re task focused, more methodic, that’s the eagle there. Now here, what you see is the Ds and the Cs, unfavorable environment. You ready for a little? This is like going a little bit deeper and then I’m going to give this to you because I want you guys to fill it out on your own but I want you to come with it filled out for tonight. This is the deeper part of this that I desire to see. These people, the Ds and Cs tend to see the world as an unfavorable place. What that means is, they see the world as fallen and you need to either subdue it or be careful because somebody’s going to mess you up.

So, you see the decent seas, their orientation is basically, they sense the world is in a fallen condition and so their orientation is in a sense the world’s a negative place. But by the way, it doesn’t mean they’re negative. It’s like Trump at a rally. It’s like the more opposition there is, the more excited he gets. These people thrive on the challenge of overcoming the environment. That’s why they get into the information or that’s why they exert their energy to shape it but I want you to see how this works. The Ds and Cs by nature. The reason why they’re less people focused more this energy is because the world is not a safe place. It’s a fall place and you have to subdue it. On the other hand, these people over here with that like little liberty energy, they see the world as wow, wonderful. I’m going to sell this. I’m going to go dance on the stage, favorable. It’s full of potential. I’m going to go to a dream trip. So, they see the world that in terms of social, harmonious, optimistic. Everybody focuses on the negative. Why don’t they focus on what God‘s doing? It’s like people get all negative. I’m excited about the Lord‘s doing.

So, if you’re like a pure in this category, the whole world’s this way. Now, honestly, this is the part that just is wisdom. Which one’s right? That’s the genius of it. Any one of them is right depending on the situation you’re in. That’s the fascinating thing. So, the goal is the person that has, that’s why I want to cover more depth. The person that has the greater flexibility has the greater power. So, if you can read somebody who’s got a need for information, you got to know something. They’re not being sold on what you’re saying because you might be an optimist to see is plenty of potential and opportunity but their wiring isn’t that way. They are actually now worrying About whether you’re pulling the wool over their eyes. So, if you want to be great at persuading a person who’s like that, actually point out where the challenges are and what you’re talking about. This may seem counterintuitive but it’s advanced sales.

Tell them where the weakness is. Tell them where the risk is and you’ll actually have them more nodding and agreeing with you because that’s what they’re thinking and then show them how that is mitigated. Don’t say, well, there’s no problem with that. People do it all the time. Say, there’s obviously a challenge there. If this happens, happens and this happens, what do you do? Here’s how we mitigate that. Now you’re talking the language of persuasions. Here’s what I’m saying. There’s so much money left on the table. So many relationships not developed because we go bumbling in and out of people’s worlds without the wisdom of even having the courtesy of speaking the language they speak. It takes energy to do this. If you’re not an analytical person, it takes energy but guess what? It’s not about you. If you love people, you’re going to do what they need. Right?

Most of the time you could be a lover. Some of the times, you got to be a warrior. Okay, every now and then you got to be a statesman but what I’m saying is I’d like you all to get that this weekend and go from just being a oh I’ve done it before. No, you haven’t because I’ve taught it better than most of you and I still don’t do it right. Because I don’t stop and say, what is that person need now? Real quick. What is their style? Because their style tells me how they’re built and if they’re all end of the world’s great and they’re loving and they’re so excited. It’s like, I get it. They’re on that beautiful IS energy trip. That’s great. Then, let me support them in that. I don’t have to like bring them down. Yeah, well, guess what? Tell you where we’re going.

Alright, so in terms of tones. Goals. Fears. I want you to catch this. It’s so important. Your blind spot. I’m going to stop. I have to stop. Goals. Where’s your dominant people? By the way everyone, 75% of your primary and a secondary and it could be anything. So, I’m like a DI. I’m an ID. I’m not an SC. Then God fakes it out. He puts people in your family that are not like you. He gives you; the most important relationships are not like you and you wonder why there’s a little gap there in the connection. If you’ve got that dominant thing, if you’re one of those leaders, let me tell you something. You got an issue when it comes to controlling things. Gonna tell you, remember this, you want to write this down if you never heard the same before, any strength that God gave you, overextended becomes your greatest weakness. Any strength.

Ever notices the devil never takes you out where your weaknesses are. I know we always say, we got to watch guard your weaknesses. It’s a mystery to me. God really doesn’t allow the devil to take you out in your weakness. Almost every time I’ve seen someone taken out, it’s in a strength over extended. It’s like the devil can’t, is a strange thing, the devil. If you’re a leader let me tell you something. It’s going to be the time you went and picked the fight you weren’t supposed to be in. That you get in trouble. Because your natural tendency is go, go, go and take and do this.And then alright, okay. Let’s see. What you probably need in your team is somebody who’s exact opposite of you which is why God puts us in families where we can learn how to love the difference. If you’re an influencing person your biggest issue is going to be rejection. So, what do I know? If I know this, the devil sure knows it.

So, where can we get you to compromise because you’re going to look bad? Or where can we God help you? Make you look bad and then you’re going crazy because that’s like me. I’m like, I’m dying. I’m looking at 500.5 million people watching me in my in a distorted minute and a half commercial. I’m thinking, I can’t believe this but you know what? I got enough eye on me so I don’t like the way that looks. So, don’t laugh. Yes, the microphone please. It’s coming. It’s coming. It’s coming.

Mercedes: Is it? There we go.

Lance: Yes.

Mercedes: No, I was thinking you have enough eye in you that even the negative coverage is still coverage. That’s what I was thinking. Still people looking at you.

Lance: Well, that’s true and that’s what mitigates the pain. Did I say it was half a million? Half million people who didn’t know who I was now know me. Steadiness, the supportive, the stability, but the fear of change. So, what does that mean? That means that in many cases the hardest problem some of you are going to have is cutting people off. If you got the S trust me the Ds are already agreeing with me. Yeah, I’m getting rid of that person when I get home. Yeah, I’m going to tell that one right there. That’s I was thinking about that. I’m glad you said that obviously. But you see it’s that’s the Ss are the ones who are like oh no. Like they’re ready to rescue the person right now. Like I’m going to tell them what I learned and tell them I’m going to start all over with them and this is the first.

So, that change and support. So, the fear is instability. But then again of course you could tell what you’re going to need in your life. Change. In terms of the cautious critical, the critical thing. That’s the C. This is C. Can I say something to the people that have that high C ability? How many of you are like that? Your analytic high C, you catch the details, right? Do you what the danger that is? That jeweler’s eye is a great gift. It enables you to be able to see the imperfections that you can make perfection happen. You want to know what the danger is? The danger is you can turn it on yourself. And then that same hyper magnifying lens can find any fault in the diamond and you know what happens. The moment you find the fault, you obsess with it.

You could do it on your loved ones. You could do it with your wife. You could do it with your kids. You could do it with your job. You could do it with your walk with God. But what I want to say is that the tone of you dominant people in the room. Do you sound demanding? Is your natural underlying goal to control the results? Are you afraid of losing control? I’m just saying this because I want you to go to the people that love you this weekend and I want you to ask them in a way that is not defensive like this isn’t me, is it? Yeah. Isn’t me.

I never got. I did this when I was coaching executive. I was coaching an executive and the and the and the data from his team was that he really didn’t listen to their input. He put more energy into proving them wrong or convincing them he was right. And I said, look man, you just you know you got very low different skills. He goes, how, who? What? What are they saying? That’s not me. And you know what? He said look. He goes, watch. Charlie. Charlie. Calls the guy over. He goes, I ask for your opinion, don’t I? I’m thinking this is the point. What the heck’s Charlie supposed to say? Oh sure, you do, don’t you? Sure. And it gives me that eye contact like. It’s like so that’s not how you find out. You got to say I noticed some feedback here where I really telegraph what I want to hear. From now on, I’m not going to tell you what my opinion is. I’m going to ask you guys what you think. I’m going to wait. And then come back and share what I’m thinking based on your input.

I’m not even going to give you my response in the same meeting. We’ll have to me it’s a discipline and it was killing him because what it meant was on every issue he felt strongly and this is the way a lot of you are. Your high strong leaders, you can’t telegraph your preference.You have to ask them and then you take it in then you come back and you share that you listen to them and this is what you’re thinking. Now you share your perspective and hopefully you actually let your perspective get shaped by what you heard rather than I got to wait a day and I’ll tell them what I’m going to do.

Tend to communicate in a friendly tone. Okay, that’s good. Goals, acceptance, and approval, loss, rejection. So, that’s kind of meek. Hey, how about the S’s in here? Are you maintaining peace because you’re uncomfortable with disharmony? See, some of you don’t, some of you get stressed out. You feel it in your gut. If people aren’t getting along, if there’s not harming, people aren’t happy. That’s not good. You see, you feel it down here. What you have to do is you have to be like some of the D’s. You have to actually enjoy the conflict. Well, not really. But you have to be able to recognize that your response to the tension of people or something is getting in the way maybe of you being comfortable being uncomfortable and therefore, you might be trying to rescue people in fixed situations that God isn’t asking to rescue or fix. Make sense?

It will. It will before we leave this weekend but doing things right, the underlying fear of the sea is undefined disorder, not really. That was written by a high C. What the biggest fear They can’t even say it. Their biggest fear is being criticized for making a mistake. C’s don’t like to make mistakes because they feel like a mistake when they make a mistake. Therefore, they put a lot of effort in never making a mistake.
