Hillary Joining Bloomberg As Running Mate?

Over President’s Day holiday weekend, the political rumor mills were running wild for Democratic Presidential hopeful, Mike Bloomberg. The Drudge Report had published breaking news citing an alleged source close to Bloomberg’s campaign. The source claimed Hillary Clinton was under consideration for Vice President after internal polling found that a Bloomberg-Clinton ticket could be a “formidable force.” Billionaire Mike Bloomberg’s presidential campaign responded by downplaying the report alleging their consideration of the former 2016 Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, as his pick.

Reactions throughout social media were varied. Some speculated whether the rumor was true, while some were absolutely hoping the news was real, and yet others posted their outright hilarity with memes and more.

Former Bill Clinton advisor, Dick Morris, also chimed in.

By Tuesday, however, Clinton, who was at a Clinton Global Initiative event in San Juan, Puerto Rico, squelched the rampant hearsay stating that she would not be running.

“Oh, no. I’m just waiting and watching as this plays out. I will support whoever the nominee is because I think, for all the reasons you can imagine, and here in Puerto Rico there are many, we need to have a new president for our country.”
