The Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) hosted by the American Conservative Union (ACU) is the largest annual gathering of conservatives in the United States.

Normally held in Washington, D.C., the event kicked off in Orlando, Florida on Thursday and will run through Sunday with a keynote address from the 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump.

There are also some big speakers lined up for Friday and Saturday including several names that you may know and love.

Friday will feature speeches from:

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis
U.S. Senators Mike Lee, Ted Cruz, Tom Cotton, Josh Hawley, Rick Scott, and James Lankford
Congressmen Matt Gaetz, Madison Cawthorn, and Mo Brooks
Donald Trump Jr.

Saturday will include speeches from:

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton
Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo
South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy
U.S. Senators Bill Hagerty and Cynthia Lummis
U.S. Representatives Devin Nunes, Burgess Owens, Darrell Issa, Andy Biggs, Lauren Boebert

Sunday will conclude with speeches from Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Mike Huckabee, Larry Kudlow, and President Trump.

Noticeably absent from the event are Vice President Mike Pence and Senator Rand Paul, who were both invited but opted out of making an appearance this year. Also notably absent but not invited are Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, and Republican members of Congress who voted in favor of impeachment.

If there is a “civil war” going on within the GOP, it is clear which side is winning and this week offers President Trump and his super-majority their biggest platform of the year to present their vision for the future of the Republican Party and for victory in the mid-terms and in 2024.

CPAC conducts a presidential preference poll every year which will, without a doubt, result in Donald J. Trump being the conservative choice for president. The only question is how dominant he will be over other potential candidates like Gov. Ron DeSantis. In all likelihood, he will receive at least 75 percent of the vote.
