UN Human Rights Committee Undermines Right To Life Of The Unborn

ADF International reports that the UN Human Rights Committee has taken a position that undermines the right to life for babies still in the womb. They have since filed with the committee while preparing an update to Article 6 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.

“Human Life has inherent value before birth as well as after birth. Given the clear language of numerous human rights treaties, the international legal framework can, and should, be understood as protecting unborn life. Sadly today, the UN Human Rights Committee adopted highly problematic guidance on the right to life. It focuses on promoting abortion instead of upholding the inherent right to life of unborn children,” said Paul Coleman, Executive Director of ADF International.
