Washington Examiner: On Monday, Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced that President Trump had ordered the FBI and the Department of Justice to declassify and release specific documents. His directive included all texts relating to the Russia Probe, unredacted, from former FBI Director James Comey and Bruce Ohr, former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, as well as from Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.

The directive prompted a declassification review process conducted by various agencies within the intelligence community and in conjunction with the White House Counsel.

Excerpt from Washington Examiner:

“The Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are already working with the Director of National Intelligence to comply with the President’s order.”

Spokesperson Charles Carithers added that ODNI, which oversees the 17 agencies in the U.S. intelligence community, “is working expeditiously with our interagency partners to conduct a declassification review of the documents the President has identified for declassification.”

The documents ordered declassified are a handful of pages of the June 2017 application to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court to continue surveillance of Trump campaign aide Carter Page, which originally began in 2016. Trump also ordered all FBI reports of interviews prepared in connection with all surveillance applications of Page be declassified and released.
