Former GOP Congressman Calls for Dr. Fauci to be Fired (VIDEO)

Retired seven-term Congressman Dr. Ron Paul (R-TX) is calling on Dr. Anthony Fauci to be fired over his handling of the coronavirus pandemic.

Dr. Paul made the comments on his show The Liberty Report, explaining that “the people have to fire him” by exposing him as “a fraud.”

The former Republican candidate for president added that Fauci “doesn’t give us any good information” and “they didn’t save us from ourselves.”

The native Texan concluded by saying that “their plan” involves “total control” of everyone’s lives, a prescription the libertarian-Republican says comes at too great of a cost.

Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx have been under growing scrutiny as their predictions for U.S. deaths from COVID-19 appear to have been grossly inaccurate. We reported on March 30 that the models predicted 1-2 million cases in the U.S. and 100,000 to 200,000 American deaths. Since then, projections have been amended to the tune of 30,000 less deaths.

The “new” models indicate that America’s peak in cases will take place tomorrow while the nation’s peak in deaths has already been passed.

President Trump distanced himself from “the models” in a recent press briefing joking that he, “wasn’t involved in a model, at least that kind of model.”

The two are also noticeably on opposing sides of the treatment vs. vaccine debate with President Trump supporting the use of Hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19 which Dr. Fauci deems unproven, instead advocating for extending lockdown measures until a vaccine is developed and distributed which could take more than a year.

After being forced to abandon reopening the U.S. economy by Easter, President Trump now reportedly hopes to reopen by May 1 which is much sooner than Dr. Fauci recommends.

Dr. Ron Paul earned the nickname of “Dr. No” during his 14 years in the U.S. House of Representatives for his consistent opposition to government spending and expansion.
