First New York, Now Virginia: Late Term Abortion Debate Ignites Online

Virginia Democrats are pushing to loosen restrictions on late-term abortions, and the debate has now erupted online after a video went viral of the partisan clash.

Democrats want to reduce the number of doctors required to certify a late-term abortion from three to one, as well as to remove the language “substantially and irremediably” when referring to the health threat the pregnancy must pose to have an abortion that late.

House Republicans tweeted a minute-long clip from the hearing where Delegate Tran admitted that her bill would allow abortion up to birth. You can watch the exchange below.
