Finland has lost its dang mind!
The leadership of the nation should be embarrassed by this. They are prosecuting a politician and mother of five for her Biblical worldview! How is it we have not heard more about this? You can add Finland to the ranks of Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and recently Austria, where the pandemic has made dictators out of bureaucrats. See what the deteriorating West looks like as the woke moral virus devours more than Covid ever could in these once vibrant democracies?
A WARNING
This is the price Christians will pay for lovingly accommodating rather than lovingly resisting those who seek to legislate against Biblical values. There’s an eerie connection between the new authoritarian model of government emerging in these countries and the weakness of the church in the West. As pulpits backed out of the culture war and self-edited their sermons to avoid being controversial, the spirit of lawlessness and authoritarianism forged a perverse new alliance and turned against the church!
Is this not what Jesus warned about when he said that our lack of dynamic impact (salt) would lead us to be “trodden under foot of men”?
I’m relieved to see that the United States has a populist movement in its loins and that a good portion of this is made up of Christians who are displacing apathy and anxiety with action and steely-eyed resolve.
The belief that marriage is between a man and a woman is not just a Christian doctrine. Nor is it just Christianity that rejects homosexuality as a practice. Since Finland doesn’t mind trodding on Christians, one wonders how they would respond to a series of headlines saying: “Woke Finland Insults Muslims, Jews and Christians, Threatening Fines and Imprisonment!” I guarantee that would get an immediate reaction.
