Do Not Fear The Coronavirus

Published

on

There’s a verse that has been burning in my spirit and that’s Mark chapter 11, verse 20.

And in the morning as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. And Peter, calling to remembrance, said unto Him, “Master, behold, the fig tree which Thou cursed is withered away.” And Jesus answering, said unto them, “Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, `Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea,’ and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Now I will tell you right now, the coronavirus is having more impact than it should have. Because fear is contagious. It affects the marketplace. It affects the news cycle, and then people make a living preying on fear. Political forces in America love the fear because it disrupts the economy. News loves the fear because it increases ratings. But the Bible says in Isaiah chapter 11, make sure you do not fear what they fear. And so I want to talk right now about breaking the virus of fear.
