This is what we’re up against, Christians who don’t know the difference between compassion and a land invasion. But this species of ignorance doesn’t stop at the border of the pulpit; these same Christians voted for Joe and Kamala and the cascade of crime, critical race theory, drag Queen hour at school, purging of conservatives from the Military and federal takeover of elections, inflation and a looming economic collapse.
And what’s sad is you actually attend their conferences and support their ministries. They stopped inviting me in 2016.
You’re probably under their influence. As a rule, if they said NOTHING about the November 3rd election fraud, or were too quick to condemn January 6th without qualifying what they said, or if they flat out never positively called for prayer for Donald Trump… they are a Carter Christian. They vote for Democrats (or don’t vote at all) because they think Democrats are more compassionate and never bothered to do their homework.
They say, “I believe in building bridges, not walls.” Really? So do you require a background check before you let a worker into your nursery at church? Ever consider that a pedophile might be attracted to children’s church? Ever consider that MS13 and drug cartels and sex traffickers love your open door open border hospitality?
Carter, by the way, was the first President to run as a “born again” candidate. I actually voted for him. Pat Robertson endorsed him! After Carter, I stopped believing the best candidate would be the Christian candidate. The only good thing that came from Carter’s 444 days of Iran hostages and inflation and gas shortages was this… he paved the path for Ronald Reagan.
We’re back in this time period again, but I don’t know if the preachers learned anything.
