While rumors continue to fly over British actor and comedian Russell Brand, woke companies such as Burger King pulled their ads over last weekend from Rumble. Rumble supports the 1st amendment and freedom of speech and was pressured to demonetize Brand’s account––including by Burger King, who joined multiple other large companies in removing advertisements from the video site.

Earlier this month, a joint investigation by U.K.’s The Sunday Times, The Times, and Channel 4 Dispatches detailed sexual assault allegations from four unidentified women. The alleged victims accused Brand of rape, sexual assault, and emotional abuse between 2006 and 2013. Brand, however, has denied the claims and maintains that all his sexual relationships have been consensual.

Popular social media giant YouTube had demonetized Brand’s account earlier in the month. In response to mounting efforts aimed at discrediting him, Brand released a video showcasing the concerning rise of online censorship. Brand urges his YouTube followers to join him on Rumble, a platform allowing freedom of speech to discuss important, controversial issues. Through his video, Brand enlightens his viewers about initiatives like the Trusted News Initiative (TNI) and the Online Safety Bill introduced in the United Kingdom.

Supporters of Brand have since begun encouraging others to boycott Burger King and other corporations who demonetized his social media accounts.
