Billy Graham’s Warning For 2023

Lance: What a beautiful thing to be in a move of God. Understand there’s a movement of Godhappening right now. And I’ll tell you how I know. Mario and I, some of our most, Mario and I, some of our most anointed times are actually they’re a preacher that they, I hate to say when you’ve been around a long time you notice that when they’re in the pulpit and then the word they’re in the spirit, and then when they’re not it’s like they’re just not there. They’re off on something else. Which is okay. But with Mario we talk about God more after the meeting than we’re even talking about God more on the pulpit. And that’s when, that’s for me. That’s the kind of running buddy I want to go with.

So, before the meeting I said to him I said, I’ve been with and where’s Pastor Phil Capuccio? You here? There you are Phil. I remember brother Elden Wilson, Doctor Elden Wilson prophet of God who helped me in my younger ministry. He said, when we were in the move of God, he was talking about the latter rain movement 1948 revival. He said, ‘When we We’re in those meetings. Do you know how I now know that was a move of God?’ I said, ‘How?’ He said, ‘I want you to think about this. We’d be in those meetings, the presence of God. We didn’t want to get up from our chair unless somebody else should take it, and we’d be there 12 to 14 hours and not once did you stop and realize you needed to get up and go to the bathroom and take a break.’

Now admittedly he was a younger man when that happened. But the fact of the matter is, I’ll tell you Mario, what you did there where he said, do we need to take a break because really, he’s probably taking a break. The truth is the fact that you said, no. Confirm what we talked about earlier before we got here which is when the hunger for God is stronger than the need of your own natural body, you’re in the move of God. So, and here’s what I believe and I’m talking to you kind of like, I remember I was at Toronto once. I went on the wrong time. They had the big revival going on up there and I would always, I’m like, mister McGuire, I always show up at the wrong place, the wrong time but God‘s in it somehow.

Well, I went up on the Sunday when they didn’t have meetings and it was just the church and here’s the interesting thing about a move of God. They were so happy to have church because you see, they got to see each other who they knew because all week long, they were laboring with thousands that God was sending and they didn’t know them and they were happy to get together and just be together with each other. Because it was the only time they had for fellowship with the family. The rest of the week, they were hauling water because the move of God put a demand on them to have to serve. I hope you understand what you’re volunteering for because God wants to do something but he’s going to need many laborers but here’s the key qualification that you have to have in your heart. You don’t have to have experience. You don’t have ability. I mean, if you’re a worn-out old tire, God‘s going to put new treads on you. He’ll heal body, but here’s the one thing and I remember Catherine Coleman saying it. I always because we talk about her miracles, another thing because Mario’s he’s been with virtually everybody in the last, I don’t know since 1940. If I bring up a name, he’ll say, oh yeah, Oral told me this. It’s amazing.

And we talked about Catherine Coleman. And he talked about his observations with Catherine. And I said, but the one I haven’t told him this yet. I’m going to tell him this this afternoon after the meeting. The one thing she said that told me more about her gifting than anything else was she would occasionally say, if you took the lid off of everyone’s heart in this room, you’ll see that there’s no one who’s hungrier for God than Catherine Coleman. Brother, sister, it’s a grace of Godright now. If you have an appetite for God, it was God that gave you that hunger and thirst after righteousness. But if you’ve got it, feed it. Feed the hunger. Feed the because this move of God is coming to those that want it and the ones that want it are the ones that are hungry for it. If you have to be force fed into this move of God, you’re going to be the spectator who catches on later but if you’re hungry for God right now, God‘s ready to start to give you hidden manna.

There’s been a famine of preaching the word of God and I don’t understand it. I think in a sense maybe in ways I don’t know if I’ve ever really adapted to it. See, the benefit for me was I used to be jealous of my friends that had these big TV in crowds. I mean, I hung out with them. I ran with them but they seem to have this charismatic media appeal and the media people wanted to get them on their shows and they had large audiences. But I realized something one day. The Lord said to me, ‘Lance, do you understand the hook that comes with media celebrity status in the body of Christ?’ I said, ‘No, Lord. I’d love to have some of that media status.’ I mean, we are praying to get a message out. The Lord said, ‘Y‘all but you don’t understand it.’

The audience ends up putting a limit on what they say, because the way that you grab an audience is the way that you keep an audience and if you grab them with mesmerizing and interesting preaching and teaching, you can’t go into the controversial hard things that need to be said without knowing you’re losing your audience. You lose your audience; you lose your ratings. You lose your ratings or you lose your cash flow. You lose your cash flow, you’re in debt to the TV station for your it. There’s something in you then that backs up from hard truths or controversial subjects because the audience punishes you for telling them what they don’t want to hear. So, thank God. The audience I’ve got was built off of me ranting and raving at 11 o’clock at night. Wandering around. How many of you have ever seen those? I used to Periscope pin off the air. I used to go to meetings and I’d say, where are the Periscopians? It was like the grateful dead.It was a radical group right there in the group. But at midnight, I’d be walking around in my office ranting and praying in tongues about Donald Trump, because I said, God‘s doing something the church doesn’t even realize God‘s invading the American culture. He’s disrupting the status quo. He’s making it controversial to tell the truth and he’s using a celebrity billionaire wrecking ball to start the process off.

Break: Season’s greetings hallelujah, Merry Christmas and happy New Year. Covering all my faces. I’m telling you man on bananas for Jesus this year. I just think that we got to come out of the closet. Let people know who we are. There’s a verse here I’m reading, where the apostle Paul’s writing to the Philippians and he says, “You Philippians know after the preaching of the gospel the first that I left Macedonia and I came to you that there was no church that actually shared with me in giving and receiving, but you only”. It’s hard to that Paul could say that the Philippian church was the only church that actually supported him. I mean what happened to all the other churches he worked. I don’t even think Antioch was still behind him then. He said,“Not that I’m speaking of the gift but I seek the profit that increases to your account”. And what Paul is saying here is that there is a benefit that comes to those that recognize the grace of Godon him that support him in what he’s doing, but not many were seeing it. But God was so supernaturally providing for Paul anyway, but the people that became part of that were had access to something special.

The access they had was this promise. My God will supply all your needs according to his riches and glory. That promise wasn’t given to everyone. It was given to an apostolic people who recognize the apostolic gift in Paul and supported him in his mission. I’m sharing that with you because you’d be surprised how I don’t often mention about supporting what we do, but it’s going to cost me hundreds of thousands of dollars this year. Literally close to a million to do and to underwrite the ten crusades, the ten events, the evangelism outreach, the arenas, and the television and the media. I can’t do it without help. Lance: So, let me suggest to you some thoughts about what God is doing. Let’s see if it resonates with you. If it’s in your spirit, if you agree with me. When I got to ask Mario about this, when he and I connected together a couple of years ago and he came to that meeting he talked about where he listened and he told his wife it’s going to be in every meeting. I had read a blog that he was publishing. Now, I’m in the middle of lots of preachers. Not like I’m not, there’s tons of revelatory preachers and prophets and people like in my world but I’m reading the blog and he’s got a kind of edge to what he’s saying. He is not writing for the audience. And you know where he learned that? He told me before the meeting today. He said that when he started, 19 years old preaching on the streets, he’d grab a garbage can and flip it over and put his Bible on it and start preaching on the street and keeping his eyes open because he had to dodge things that were thrown at him while he preached.

Brother, if that’s where you start, you know this guy isn’t going to be worried about what you think when he finishes. So, I’m there but I’m reading his blog and I read something. I got to ask about this. He doesn’t talk about it. I said, ‘Mario Murillo, I heard about him.’ I’ve known his name. I’ve never met him. It’s funny that we never cross paths. I’m going to prophesy something to you. Some of the most significant relationships you’re going to have in your destiny are about to be met in the next season. You’re about to meet the indispensable missing piece to what Godcalled you to do. He’s been preparing them and preparing you for this time. So, but I readsomething. I read it where he was said, ‘I’m laid up. I’m on my back.’ He said, ‘You have no idea what it’s like when you’re used to traveling and ministering and you’ve been in the middle of the thick of the moves of God from Berkeley that Jesus when the charismatic. And now, I’m literally sidelined, wrecked with pain, standing for healing and miracles when I stand for others. I now have to believe for myself and from this position of being immobilized.’ And I thought, oh my God, this is what happens sometimes to us. You’re celebrated icon in one season and whatever happened to brother so and so, then he find out that the body of Christ moved on and left some of their generals on the field.

But he wrote and he said, ‘But the one thing that I could do even from this this position I’m in is I can write. So, I will write and speak.’ It was what he wrote that reached me. Then when I found out that he was back on his feet and he was able to move. I said, ‘Can you do a meeting?’ He came to Washington. Here’s what I want to plant into your heart. It’s a concept I heard from a Long Island pastor. It’s Pastor Tony Dinafrio. And when you hear something that God wants you to hear, it hits you in your spirit in such a way that you cannot forget it. It could be a random comment but if the Holy Ghost was in it, he will bring to remembrance all things that he has said. And brother Dinafrio was just up there randomly talking. Wasn’t even doing the whole sermon. I don’t think of the subject, but he said the word anointing of recognition. And something went off in my spirit.

I’m going to tell you something. How many of you believe that God‘s called you and that you need the favor of God, the magnet of heaven to cause you to be promoted to at least the level where other people can see what you’ve got and release you to do what you’re anointed to do. Put your hand up. Favor of God comes upon you to make you a magnet to the people and the resources you need to do what the assignment is that God gave you. But if you want to receive it, you have to first release it. Which means you have to get past your own ego and self-preoccupation and obsession with your own destiny and begin to recognize who and what Godhas anointed and put your energy on that.

You can either try to wrestle to get God to bless what you’re doing or you could find out what God is blessing and get next to it. So, what I believe I saw was I could see Mario Murillo as the perfect standard bearer for a fresh move of God that would have an evangelism great awakening appeal for American. I’ll tell you why I said that. Because the greatest moment I think in American revival history came post World War II when Billy Graham was packing up the Madison Square Garden began in a tent by the way. And what he was dealing with was something that was in the Zeitgeist or the atmosphere at the time. The nuclear era had come. How many of you remember doing your atomic bomb drills under your desk? Just think of how absurd that is. It’s like social distancing two years ago. We may only find out later how dumb it really was.

You’re going under your desk for 15 minutes if a nuclear bomb goes off of your school and then you come out from under the desk and it’s okay. But that’s what they taught us. But if you’re doing this under your desk drill, the whole country was in fear of nuclear war with Russia because this new space age bomb could vaporize a whole country. But Billy Graham was not ministry as you saw him and I saw him later on in life because America, he warned in the 50s and 60s. If you watch those old sermons, he was a prophet evangelist. He wasn’t the evangelist you remember later on because America did make a pivot in the 1970s. Here’s what he preached. He said, America is being weighed in the balance of heaven right now. And as Nebuchadnezzar from Babylon brought all the vessels of gold and silver into Babylon, there came a feast one night when they were celebrating their Gods and drinking to their deities out of the vessels that were sacred to God. And the finger of God came and wrote on a plaster wall and put that party into a state of shock, because it was a foreign tongue that no human being could decipher. And they call for Daniel, the old prophet in his 90s now, who had interceded and prayed for his people. He was castrated in his teens to be made a eunuch to serve in this wicked and corrupt and adulterous nation, and here he is now the vessel that was taken from Jerusalem into Babylon. The vessels corresponded to the Jews and they’re mocking them and laughing and praising their demons and at that moment, God said, the cup of their iniquity is full. I will now judge them.And the finger of God wrote on that wall and they brought the old prophet in and they said, the King said, ‘I’ll give you the third most important position in my kingdom. I will reward you and Daniel said, keep your gifts.’ I will tell you nevertheless what it says.

So, the old prophet, what do you think he did? See, every gift in the New Testament is in the Old Testament. I used to think, well, where’s tongues and interpretation, Lord? It’s right here. The tongues of heaven were written on the wall. God had to send a man with the interpretation of tongues to give the meaning. And he said, the Word of the Lord is you’ve been weighed. Heaven has been having a court case and they’re trying to find justification for an extension of mercy and grace but after the court verdict came, you lost the case and now judgement has been set against you and I’m here to deliver the verdict. Your kingdom is finished.

Well, now you deliver a message like that to people that are anxious about nuclear bombs and then you tell them Godless communism atheist a government that is aligned with the devil himself and wants to crush your Bible and your faith is poised now to take over your nation.Unless America repents, it’s already been weighed in the balance and we have not been winning the case in court. And when that happens, Billy Graham would point out, you need to know that every individual here is also being weighed in the balance and as it is in the affairs of nations so it is in the affairs of individuals but in your case, you can determine the outcome of that verdict. If you will repent today, God will deliver you from certain destruction. He warned you, by the sight of the cross, you see God‘s disposition towards sin. It is not compromising. He who allowed himself to take your judgement will surely judge.

What will you do? The grace of God is in this attempt right now. Saying that this is the disposition and message that America needs to come to its senses. This is the kind of, and if Godmust send signature judgments and traumatizing incidents to this country, don’t you be affected by the shaking. The shaking will be like the San Francisco earthquake to get people to pay attention to the revival that God sent. And we need to realize something. There’s something even,oh well with the anointing of recognition. Let me go back to that. So, I recognized that which was on Mario because I could see that God, we need that event. But little did I know that he would turn around and put that same thing on me. I was very happy doing what I did. Then he said, no, no. You’ve got to get out of your comfort zone and go to the next level. Just like you’re challenging me to go and look at what we’re seeing Mario do now.

Then he challenges me and so I am not necessarily comfortable in this move of God but my heart is as hungry as any heart in this room for a move of God. And as sure as I’m standing here, I tell you that this country is being weighed in the balances so far. I’m not impressed with our court case. And what Mario’s saying about these false prophets, I don’t want to go there but I’ll tell you what a big problem is so much of the body of Christ is confused because of the multiple of messages it’s hearing. If the trumpet gives an uncertain sound, we will not prepare for this battle. Therefore, I’m counting on you to seek God and say, Lord, is this movement, is this message of you? Because if it is, we need you to recognize the anointing that is on it.

So, here’s the story of David, the ark, the pattern is so important for us right now. Because we have in David a story that kind of resonates with where the church is in the United States right now. These things were written for our admonition. It was written for our instruction upon whom the ends of the age have come. Phil, you’ve got to stand up. If I’ve got to prophesy over you so that I can get out of my sermon. Please stand up. I keep getting distracted by this and I can’t think. The spirit of the Lord says that what he’s doing in your life right now is the same as with Mario. For you’ve said, oh God of my days past my greater days, but the Lord says, “I am putting a fresh word into your mouth and you shall be even as a swordsman in the house of the Lord. For there is a hunger for the Word of God that will come out of your teaching”. And as you teach, a fresh hunger will come into the people. For I am sending a feast. Study the feast. There’s a tabernacle yet waiting for the movement of God, a double portion outpouring that we’ve longed for. This is the moment when God says, I will produce a feast of an open book and the book shall be open and rather than there being a famine of the word, there shall be a feast in the open book.

The spirit of God says, I’m anointing you with a fresh fire and I’m bringing you into a fresh company of princess to run to the that God has called you to run to finish the race that you began years ago. The Lord says, there is a company even in heaven that’s gone before you that is watching you as you run and they’re cheering. There is a baton in front of you. Pick it up. Pick it up and run says the spirit of the Lord. Thank you, Lord.

Let’s take a look at the one. Let me do this real quick and just discharge the word that God gave me. This anointing of recognition. As you begin to move in this new hour of recognizing who God and what God has anointed, God is going to release an anointing upon you. Let’s start with David. Go to first Samuel, if you got a Bible chapter 16. If you don’t, start bringing the Bible. I know sometimes we’re not doing it but I’m believing that God‘s going to give us a manna visitation. I was going to say a manifestation, but I think Perry Stone’s already doing that one. First Samuel chapter 16. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. And the reason why this is so beautiful is I want you to see the call of God. How many of you can relate to what I’m about to read? This is the life of David.

Saul was called like so many of the clergy in our day. I’m grieved and don’t want to say it, but as Mario was talking about the problem with the false prophets. The problem with the false prophets is that they create a hope and a framework for the battle we’re in that causes the church to become interceding spectators rather than vital participants. The error is, if you’re constantly thinking, it’s going to turn out that the drama that is in politics, the drama that is in government, the drama that is with Trump, the drama that’s going to be with exposure the FBI or all this. If you keep on looking at the narrative that God‘s fixing to or about to do some. What happens is you’re putting your hope and your faith on that Ox cart to deliver the glory, but God has decided it is only his people that will carry his glory. You are the controversy in the nation, not the FBI or the Democratic Party. You must be the controversy. Because the issue has to do with God in America. Whether God will be God in America or whether the nation will choose to turn its back on God. So, Saul represents a leadership that was anointed but not qualified for the prison warfare. Like many preachers, once anointed, put into office by God but then when Goliath shows up on the horizon, they’re incapable of dealing with the witchcraft. Because the compromise that is in them causes their knees to shake when they must face the giant on the field.

I remember years ago when I was talking about the 7 Mountains and I say, you’re called to go to the top of that mountain. You’re called to go where the gates of influence are. You’re called to be the head and not the tail, above and not beneath and it’s not just in the pulpit. Young people, I would say to them, you’ve got to go into business. You’ve got to call in meeting. You’ve got tocall on us. We need maybe a few less preachers and a few more lawyers and a few more journalists. But then one day the Lord said, and tell them to be careful because if they’re anointed, Satan will try to buy them. If you’re anointed in business, if you’re anointed in Hollywood, if you’re anointed in Nashville, we’ve seen this. The Lord said, tell them, whatever you bow to on the way up the mountain will control you when you get to the top. Those little hidden sins, those hidden compromises, they are deadly because they put a hook in you and then as you go up that Mountain, like I said, the audience now controls you. They who have itching ears will heap up for themselves with internet technology, whoever they want to listen to, who’s tickling what they want to listen to.

And you think for a moment they’re going to listen to someone who’s going to reprove, rebuke, and exhort according to the word of God, hardly. They’ll opt out of your mailing list. They’ll click out of your audience and go find the preacher that’s saying what they want to hear. Therefore, you need to know that if you’re hearing the truth in these days, cultivate a love of the truth. As much as you have a hunger for God, have a hunger for truth because we have a movement which is very interesting. There’s a lot of people that are loving, they love worship, particularly the next generation. The cult that Jesus wants to ride into Jerusalem. The cult has never yet been written is the next generation. The young, I look at my audience. I know, most of us are in the similar age demographic but we will not see this move of God succeed unless it reaches beyond us into the next generation.

The cult which is the youth that have never yet been ridden. What kind of a Jesus will they follow? Well, here’s the problem. They really are in tune The worship movement is probably the number one way in which young people are engaging God and so you have from Bethel to various other places and a Hillsong was this way. You have a whole culture and it’s appropriate that there’s a certain sound that comes with a certain generation, but I was looking this the other day, the Lord said, “The father is seeking. Those who will worship him in spirit and in truth”. The Lord said, “The spirit is strong but the truth is weak”. Because the truth is the thing you don’t want to hear.

His giving actually provoked an angelic visitation because the angel came to him and literally said, “Cornelius your prayer has been heard and your alms or your giving has been remembered before God”. That means that over a period of time,he was doing something and that it triggered God‘s intervention later on. I want you to know that when you give consistently and when you sow with the right spirit you are setting up a divine appointment in the future where the angelic realm comes down to unlock for you access to something couldn’t have gotten without God setting it up.
