Bidenomics: Inflation Soars to 40-Year High. Trump Responds.

The Labor Department released its Consumer Price Index (CPI) report for June 2022 today, showing numbers even higher than previously predicted by some. The inflation rate now shows a 41-year high of 9.1%.

The Biden administration attempted to get ahead of the report on Monday by saying we have a strong economy.

On Wednesday, Biden tweeted, saying while inflation is too high, fighting it is his top economic priority while claiming that the recent drop in gas prices was giving American families “breathing room.”

President Trump posted his response, wondering how Americans could survive, saying, “Inflation just hit another 40-year high of 9.1%, which is terrible for our Country. Fuel prices up 60%, Airfare up 34%, Eggs up 33%––how can people survive this?”
