Joe Biden is close to one year in office, and his current poll numbers continue to drop. According to the daily Rasmussen Report, his numbers are at an all-time low, even surpassing Donald Trump’s worst.
While the polling numbers from other sources last week show different numbers, Rasmussen’s appears to show the lowest rating ever for a President in their first year.
At present, inflation is at a 40-year high, and with the promise of defeating COVID yet to occur, the numbers continue tumbling in a downward trend.
Face The Nation posted their numbers:
According to CBS analyst Anthony Salvanto who appeared Sunday on Face The Nation, what factors into these numbers are several things, including Biden’s policies, supply chain issues, and more.
“Sometimes politics is really simple. You’ve got to be seen attacking the problems that people think are paramount,” @SalvantoCBS explains how a perceived lack of focus on issues Americans really care about right now is driving President Biden’s poll numbers down. pic.twitter.com/kPQwXRX3DH
During an interview on CNN, Democratic strategist Paul Begala made a statement that seems to point blame at Biden’s supporters. “…the problem for the Democrats right now is not that they have bad leaders. They have bad followers.”

CNN’s John King shared: After Biden and Democrats had “a very tough year” in 2021, Biden’s sinking poll numbers are “a horrible way to start the year.”
So what can help turn around President Biden’s poll numbers? According to Salvanto, “It’s really about inflation, not legislation, at this point.”
