I am not ashamed of the gospel, but I am embarrassed by brethren who stumble over themselves to avoid the slander heaped on good men and women associated with the term “Christian Nationalist.”
By the definition of the term in this article, I am one of them. Let’s look at the term. Clearly, I am a Christian. That part makes sense. What about a nationalist? There’s only one choice. I am not a globalist. A globalist does not believe in countries and borders—sort of like gender fluidity. You can be a male today, a female tomorrow, and several grades between if you like. A globalist says you don’t have any boundaries that define your property, culture, history, or faith.
I guess I’m a nationalist. I believe God gives us a common humanity and sets us in specific families and nations with geography and boundaries. Acts 17:26 says, “And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings.”
All of us should be committed to the well-being and blessing of the nation where God places us. As Jeremiah said, “seek the welfare of the city where you live, for in their peace you will find peace.” Jer 29:7. Even when in a foreign land, the Jews prayed toward Jerusalem until the time of exile was ended.
As a Christian, I cheer for every believer in every other nation just as I cheer for my own. I am committed to helping you win your nation as well as mine. My natural birthplace may be the U.S.A., but my spiritual citizenship is in “one holy nation,” the body of Christ.
Every Christian should be a Christian Nationalist when it comes to the choice between one-world globalism and their own sovereign nation. If we Christians all succeeded, the world would look like heaven on earth. And this isn’t my opinion; it’s the plan God has whether you and I like it or not––it’s called the Millenium. Ought we not be praying and acting in accordance with what “thy kingdom come thy will be done” looks like?
Seems to me that those Christians who are not doing this, and especially those discouraging others, are plainly out of the will of God. The hour of empire and the hour of the beast is near. Only nationalism will preserve your nation from assimilation into a global system that has no allegiances to your history, culture, or faith. Who can stop this? Only the church is authorized to go up against the gates of hell. Nationalism will not resist the devil unless the church is involved in the contest.
