Speaker 1: Don’t go anywhere. Stay right where you’re at. We’ve got to have an appointment with God right now. I remember this guy, Robert Skoll, Skoll, Skoll, SKOLL in York, Pennsylvania. I went to military school with him and his dad was a strong Christian had a 6 AM Bible meeting in his office and was in York, Pennsylvania. I would drive down there every now and then to be at mister Skoll’s half-hour Bible study. It was quite interesting and he called an appointment with God. Put it in his calendar and you had to keep that appointment or he had no respect for you. Interesting guy. We have an appointment right now. I have a word that’s been bothering me and I talked to Mario Murillo and John Kelly and Cheon and various friends of mine about these and everybody’s agreeing.

This word is so on target right now and it is second Timothy chapter 4. You got a Bible? You ought to grab it and if not, why don’t you have a Bible? We’re having an appointment with GodBible study. You need to have a Bible and a pen. You know why? Because Your pen says, Lord, I’m activating my faith. You’re going to say something worth underlining in my Bible. I solemnly charge you in the presence. I’m reading, what am I reading here? Which version? American Standard, New American Standard. Somebody might complain about that but that’s what I got on my desk.

I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus who is to judge the living and the dead and by his appearing and his kingdom. Jesus is going to judge the living and the dead. Wow. Just slow that one down. It’s the first time I’ve really stopped to look at that. Everybody thinks about Jesus judging you after you die or God judging you, but you make it personal. It’s not God judging you, it’s Jesus himself judging you. And Jesus himself judging the living and the dead. That means when he returns, there’ll be those that are alive. Evidently, there’s a judgement and there are those that are dead. That’s kind of obvious. We expect them to be judged and it seems to be happening in conjunction with his appearing and his kingdom. So, his appearing has something to do with his kingdom. His kingdom is coming when Jesus returns.

So, when you say that Jesus is coming, you’re saying the kingdom of God is coming and by the way, when God comes, he’s a dominionist. Did you know that? If you’re wondering what God‘s theology is, he’s a dominionist. That’s a hot item these days because everybody’s all upset about Christian nationalism and dominionism, but Jesus is a pure dominionist. When he comes back, he’s imposing his dominion on the devil. He’s imposing an on earth and if you didn’t voluntarily come under the alignment with the kingdom before then, then your judgement’s going to go the wrong way. Because you’re going to be judged for being in rebellion to his kingdom. So, that doesn’t mean his kingdom advances by the sword but it does mean when he comes, he’s coming with a sword in his mouth with a flaming angel and a trumpet and he’s imposing his dominion.

Our era right now is the era of the gospel where we proclaim and we warn people about the dominion but we do it by persuasion. We don’t do it by force. When Jesus shows up, the persuasion era is over and force is what comes with it. It’s interesting, huh? So, Jesus is going to be judging the living that are alive when he shows up and all the dead that preceded that moment and it’s going to be catalyzed by his appearing in his kingdom and he gathers the nations, all the living are going to have a judgement and then the Bible says, ‘And because of the appearing and the kingdom and the judgment that is coming, I charge you, solemnly, young Timothy, old apostle, dad, warrior that he is, says, I’m giving you a military.

This word in the Greek would imply a military charge. I am giving you a summons, a sober solemn charge that you’re to preach the word of God. Be ready in season and out of season. What does that mean? It means, preach the word of God when it’s convenient and preach the truth people don’t want to hear when it’s inconvenient. Woohoo. How many pastors don’t want to preach what people don’t want to hear? The Bible says, ‘The first charge that Timothy had was to preach the word of God when it’s convenient and when it’s inconvenient. That means when it’s in the season, when it’s easy to do and it’s in the season where you’re persecuted for it. And then there’s here’s the elements.

He doesn’t say edify, exhort, and encourage my people. He says, reprove with the word of God. Rebuke with the word of God. Exhort with the word of God. And do all of it without exasperation, without frustration, without a ventilation. Do it with great patience. Patient instruction. Go back to the word. Now, here’s when I open this broadcast. I said, I’m talking to some leaders in the body of Christ lately and we all agree on something. I’m about to head into the part that we’re all agreeing on. For the time will come when they, meaning the people, will not endure sound doctrine. This is scary.

The time is coming when the body of Christ, the listeners, the audience isn’t going to endure sound doctrine. They don’t hear the message that’s out of season. They’ll change the dial. They’ll leave the church. They’ll flip to another YouTube station. The time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine but wanting to have their ears tickled. They will accumulate for themselves teachers, prophets, inspired speakers in accordance to their own desires and they will turn away their ears from the truth and will start turning aside to conspiracy theories to myths to the latest bread crumb trail of insider information about the military and Trump and Gitmo and the World Health Organization and the digital currency just enough truth to suck you in and just enough arsenic to poison you. But you, Timothy, be sober. Keep your head clear, son and in all things, endure hardship.

I love this. This isn’t like fulfill your destiny. Find your joy. It’s like, suck it up, Buttercup. Endure the hardness and do the work of an evangelist. Do the hard work of the evangelist. What’s the hard work of the evangelist? It’s the person who persuades people from darkness to light and from the power of Satan and the power of God from being enemies of to being friends of Christ including those people that are inside the church who fall in those categories and that’s how you fulfill your ministry. All I do is read to you 5 verses right there and I’m telling you right now the word that I’ve got in my spirit is that sound doctrine and inconvenient truth are under attack.

We’re in the era where people are lacking discerning and they’re so caught up in the emotions and the appetites of their tickled ear what their ear wants to hear. That they’re putting an unnecessary excess of demand especially on teachers and prophets to talk about what they want to hear and it’s all about their anxieties about the last days. And everybody wants to have the what’s going to happen next. What’s going to happen next and it’s like this, so I can predict where the trending YouTube videos and messages are going to be. They’re going to be on the tickling of the ears regarding what’s coming next, because everybody’s anxious and curious about it.

What if God is actually talking much right now regarding unfolding events what if he’s actually not doing that because of the tickling ear phenomena every parent when they have their kids there. They got the meat and the potatoes and the always the green stuff is less popular. Mom puts the string beans the lima beans or the broccoli or the asparagus and stuffed kale, stuff my wife likes. And me want to go over there to the fun food, and if there’s dessert on the table, I really don’t want to eat anymore, I’m full. I want to go for the apple pie. Well, here’s the deal. A smart parent, Jesus liking his wise stewards and wise leaders to this. They give people the meat in due season. They feed them with what they need to eat but you see, if you can choose your own diet and you could throw off restraint and say, I’m going to have a hamburger and a French fry and a super-size sugary coke with my buddy here before dinner and I go home. I’m not hungry because she just went to the Burger King or McDonald’s and had a chocolate shake on the way home. You see, now you’re getting fat, you’re out of shape, you’re not eating nutritiously and mom and dad set the food.

So good parents forbid you to set up your own little autonomous bank account and go eat at the fast-food place. You’re going to come home for dinner. And you’re going to eat dinner. You’re not going to be full because you went to Burger King. What I’m trying to labor the point is here Godis forcing us to come to the Word of God. And I believe he’s dialing down special revelation to the itching ear brigades of the body of Christ. I’m part of it. I live it. It’s my stock and trade. I call myself a futurist for the secular world that I interact with because as a prophet, I’m obviously dealing with events that are unfolding. For when the Holy Spirit comes, he will show you things to come and what God is showing me now is he’s redirecting traffic back to the Word of Godbecause his people are malnourished on the doctrine of Christ.

They’re malnourished on faith. They’re malnourished on discerning of spirits and the desire to hear some novel, new teaching, some new fancy revelation on opening portals and opening heavens and binding this and losing that and angelic mysteries. I understand it. It’s almost like the occult. It’s veiled secret spirit knowledge suddenly revealed. I understand the hunger for that. There’s plenty of evidence in the Bible of visions and dreams and supernatural activity. But you see, there’s something about being rooted and grounded in the word of God that is super natural.I’ll give an example, let me go over here my little board here give you a couple of pictures, word pictures to show you what I’m talking about.

I remember one time being with the prophets and the prophets were prophesying over a young man and they were prophesying and this young man had a great call on his life. He had a great call and it was a call that it was to 5-fold ministry but I’ll never forget the prophet. Prophet said, ‘And yay, you will soar in the winds and in the high places of great revelation knowledge. The Lord shall give you regarding things to come upon the earth and the spirit realm. But the Lord would caution you now even now man. You can only be able to control the height of the kite if it is at a fixed anchored point. Put your feet firmly in the Word of God. So that as God shows you those things. You are rooted and grounded in the revelation of thus saith the Lord and it is written. For as your foundation so shall your height be.

How can I ever forget a prophecy like that? The picture’s clear. Some people just want to fly loose. What if that cord got loose? Just flying around up there. Where it’s going to go? Crash.Because it doesn’t have a fixed point. The fixed point is the Word of God. Give another word picture on how this itching air problem happens. This is different models of mastery. Different models of mastery. There are some people who they never really grow. This is called the dabbler. The dabbler is the person that goes to church doesn’t go to church. Reads the word, doesn’t read the word. As reads a book about what they’re reading in the word and prays. They pray, they stop praying. They repent to stopping their prayer, they go back to church. They backslide. In other words, they’re dabbling. They’re up and then they’re back where they were. They’re up and then they’re back where they were and at the end of a long period of time, they pretty much are where they started. Numbers to show for it. Few more pounds and a few more gray hairs. They’re still the same person. Same fruit, same life

Then you got the there’s a word for this but I’m just going to call it the immersion. The immersion Christian. Here’s the immersion Christian. They got a hold of third heaven revelation about prophecy, about deliverance, about demons, about whatever angels and they go up. They go to steep and then they, boom, and then boom crash and burn. In other words, they were in that. You’ll hear people say that. Yeah, I was in there for a while. They were in the word of faith. You have been in the word of faith. Oh yeah, I used to be in that. I used to be in that. I used to be in deliverance. Yeah, I went through a period of time where everything was binding and losing demons everywhere. I was there. I was there with the prosperity.

See, prosperity, Word of faith, casting out devils, supernatural, prophecy, prayer, third heaven prayer, praying in the spirit, praying in the getting in the Holy Ghost. Oh yeah, I was in there or intense worship. Oh, I didn’t sing in the choir for a while. What happens? They go full tilt and then stop crash, because you ascended, it’s like a sugar high you got. So, out there in it, but you didn’t grow. Why? You didn’t mix it with faith and the word and a growing revelation. You went to the experiential zone. And the problem with this with the body of Christ is its experience addicted right now it’s where can I feel, where can I sense it.

Alright, now I’m going to give you actual model of mastery. This is what’s called the mastery model. We got the dabbler. We got the immersion Christian which is called the immersion and crash model and yeah, I’ve been there and done that. That’s the person that did this. A dabbler keeps on doing a little bit of it and doesn’t get a whole lot of any results. They dabble, mastery. Watch this. You start off like at that level. You pop up a little bit. You pop up a little bit. You pop up a little bit. You pop up a little bit. And what’s happening is your revelation is going from 30fold to 60fold to 100-fold and it’s so gradual that by patience and reason of use, the Bible says.By practice out of an honest and good heart over time. What this means is, these people are people that get a revelation and then they hit what’s called the plateau. At the plateau the moment you move past where God says, alright, hold it out here and let’s just build that revelation on giving for a while. No, I’m often this crazy. I’m going to write this big check. Oh, nothing happened. I don’t even believe that anymore.

See, God‘s looking more for the gradual. Constant ascending the hill of the lord. These are the people that actually make it. They’re less spectacular you might say but after a decade, after 20 years or 30 years, they’re still steady Eddie because they’re not up and down and they’re not crash and burn. They’re building. Now what the hardest part is? When you hit the level and nothing’s happening. This is when you’re just repeating it. You seem to be going nowhere and then suddenly, you’re up another level. Because you see, as you’re practicing on the plateau, this is also in martial arts. As you’re practicing on the plateau, something kicks in after a thousand hours of practice, you have Unconscious competence.

Now, you’re starting off with conscious competence, thinking about the verse, praying the verse, applying the verse, casting down the wrong confession, putting in it takes time. But then you start moving to unconscious competence. Now, you’re at the 60-fold level. Now, it’s not just the way that you’re walking in, it’s the way you walk and the truth you believe. Now, you’re unconscious and that’s just kind of second nature. You wouldn’t say that. You wouldn’t do that. You’d no more think of sinning this way than you think of snorting coke. Your gut that gradual consistency starts to reprogram you and then you move from the way of salvation to the way and the truth and what your beliefs is and suddenly it starts showing up in your finances, it’s in your life. Now, good financial decisions. Good Relationship decisions.

Dare I say, choices is in ministry you listen to and you align with and you allow to feed you. You go from the way to the way, the truth, the way, the truth, and the life and suddenly you’re in a100-fold zone. But it’s how you handle these long, seemingly unexciting plateaus and the temptation is some technique, some secret, some sizzle. You want to know what annoys me nowadays? People come up to me for prayer. Obviously, if I’m out there in a meeting and people have access to me, they come up, ‘Would you pray for me? Okay. What would you like me to pray for? Oh, whatever the lord gives you.’ And then they hold this thing out. It really annoys me.

What annoys me? They don’t have a single verse they’re standing on. They don’t have an anchor for their faith. They got a kite. They’re sticking in my face. They want me to blow some wind, some prophetic wind on their kite. Thy aren’t going to China and have miracle ministry. Don’t come to me and stick a phone in front of my mouth to pray for you because you know what you’re saying? It’s bait and switch. You’re saying pray and I say yes when you say prophesy. They’re not asking for a prayer. They’re asking for a prophecy. We’re producing an anemic kind of nutty generation of end-time warriors if we don’t reprove, rebuke, and exhort with great patience right now. Those of us that are called to teach.

Now, we’ve been covering much of Timothy here and I wanted to focus on the itching ear’s part, but we’ve virtually gone through Timothy. I mean, except for Paul saying, hey, I’m at the point of martyrdom and my head’s going to get chopped off soon but I fought a good fight. I’ve run a good race. I finished my course. I feel good about where I’m at and what I’ve done. I’m ready. It’s a pretty wild letter you got here. I mean, this is intense but it opens up with an interesting statement. It opens up in the first chapter with Paul saying, I’m constantly praying for you Timothy. I’m constantly remembering you night and day. Stir up that gift that is on the inside of you. When hands were laid on you and prophecy was given to you, you got what you needed. Now, stir it up because God didn’t give you a spirit of fear. Break that fear of persecution, the fear of Nero, the fear of Rome, the fear of the future. Break it off because God gave you an anointing of power and of love and of such sound mind that if you’ll step into it, you’ll break the fear off of others and you’ll put them in the orbit of a sound mind. Timothy, take that deposit that you’ve got and guard through the Holy Spirit who dwells in you the treasure entrusts it.

Every one of us is in ministry and that ministry is entrusted. Guard it. Why would you guard it?Because Satan would steal it. Protect it and spend it so that at the end of your life there’s nothing left you put it all on the table. “You therefore, my son”. Chapter 2 there, verse 1. “Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. The things you’ve heard from me, the presence of many witnesses and trusted faithful men will be able to teach others also. Can I say something about you right now? I want to make this a two-part teaching. I’m going to land the plane here and pick it up again next week. But I want to say that if people had to say, ‘Well, Lance, what do you really do? People don’t really know what I do. It’s kind of funny. They can’t know how to describe me. But you’d have to say that I’m a teacher. Everyone agrees. And it’s the rabbi in me.

I mean I come from an Ashkenazi Jewish line of rabbis on my father’s side. There’s a Jewish and both my brothers are college professors. We’re a teaching Levite tribe. That’s me. I’m a tongue talking Levite. Like a Barnabas was a Levite who was filled with the spirit. That’s me. I’m like a Barnabas. And my job is to find people I could teach. When I look at my Warroom, when I look at students when I look at the 30 or 40 people that I’ve invested time in over the last two years. I’d say my that’s all been teaching teachers to teach. And don’t despise teaching. As Bill Johnson told me, teaching is a power gift. Because it’s the Jesus, the Rabbi went throughout all Israel teaching in the synagogues and demonstrating.

The teacher should be a gift that demonstrates the supernatural. Derek Prince, Andrew Womack, Kenneth Hagan, brother Copeland. Teaching gifts are demonstration gifts. I’m looking for people that I can entrust, faithful men that I can entrust the teaching to. I remember I had a mentor. I said, ‘What kind of people am I supposed to deposit in? He said, ‘Look for Fat people, Lance. I said, ‘What? He said, ‘Faithful, available, and teachable. So, I’m looking for some fat people right now. I’m looking for fat people. I’m looking for some fat souls in the body. Faithful, available, teachable. And that rabbi anointed that’s on me will come into you. I’m going to tell you the fast track to partnering with an anointing is in your praying and in your giving and in your listening.

When you hang out and listen to a teacher. If they’re a false teacher, you’re going to start picking up false spirits and false doctrine. If they’re a true teacher, you’re going to get the anointing of Jesus. The teacher, the rabbi. I’m looking for some faithful, available, teachable people right now and I need your prayers. I need you to listen to this teaching, I’m going to do more and more and more but the lord convicted me the other day. Talking to my wife and my daughter and a young man that was with my daughter. Annabelle said, ‘What are the 5-fold ministries again? I said, ‘Come on, honey. You all know this, apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastor, teachers. He said, ‘Well, how are they different than the other gifts that are the body of Christ has?

I said, ‘Well, the Bible says and God gave some. That means if you’re some, for instance, some teachers, that means not everyone’s called to the office of teacher which means you that are called to teach have a special responsibility to dedicate self to what the Lord called you to do because not everyone is called as a 5-fold teacher. The Holy Ghost convicted me and said, ‘Out of your own mouth, I have spoken to you. I like news analysis. I like prophetic futuristic political debates. I like 7-Mountains. I like consulting but I’ll tell you what, the Lord reminded me, I’m supposed to teach. I’m looking for some fat people. Faith fault, available, teachable.’And if you’re one of those people you want me to pour into, go right now to Lancewallnau.com/partner. Partner with me.

I’ll do the rabbi work. You do the faithful, available, teaching work of learning. We’ll set up a way that you and I can communicate. I want to work closer and closer with the those that I’m teaching. Because Timothy’s success was, ‘Entrust these things to faithful men and women who are able to teach others also. I’m looking for an army of great persuaders. I’m looking to release something in this stage of my life into an army of great persuaders. Lancewallnau.com/partner. Partner with me in the TV ministry. Partner with me in the media ministry. Partner with me in the teaching ministry and the anointing that is on me will come into you. And together we’re going to see the mind of Christ articulated and presented in a persuasion of the spirit that is going to shift the earth. This is the last days and Jesus is teaching.
