Episode Transcript

Lance: Welcome, welcome, welcome to the Lance Wallnau Show today we’re going to be doing something which I am really looking forward to. It’s time for the backlash. I don’t want you guys focusing on what the left is doing. I mean I’ve got a news cycle and trust me, I see it as much as you or even more. So, all of the injustice that goes on. I mean the January 6 hearings is annoying me because it’s pure kabuki theater. And they ain’t cancelled today because they can’t agree on whether they can prosecute anyone. I mean, the good news is nothing that the Marxist progressive left is doing is working.

The gas prices are just everyday reminding people why they want to change their world in November. But I’m telling you something. We’re going to have to hit business, academia, government, media. There isn’t one of the domains I talk about. One of the 7-Mountains I’ve been talking about for over 20 years that isn’t right now a decisive battleground. It’s like we’re on the beaches of Normandy and we have to hit that political thing. But at the same time, we’ve got to go rescue our children. What they’re putting in the schools. And who’s mysteriously and mischievously now we’re discovering behind this thing, should have known it all lost the big money.

It’s the big investment companies, the big bankers. It’s Larry. It’s isn’t it Larry Finks the name of the guy and Black Rock. It’s the Vanguard Fund. These corporations that are pushing their woke ideology are being pressured by the finance institutions. “You better comply, you better comply.Because we’re the cash flow we’re the investors.” They own like 20, 30% of your shares, you better be listening when those guys say you better go woke you. This is unfair leverage we’re finally learning that the map includes corrupt big government is funded by big money and it’s in corporations.

So, what do you think God‘s going to do? God‘s going to shake everything that can be shaken that includes why we’re in the financial discipline under now. I know people are concerned about what’s happening but trust me, God is using America’s financial economic crisis to shift America’s infatuation with the progressives. They’re losing favor and credibility every day and that’s a good thing. But what are we going to do to rebuild America and how are we going to push back on these world corporations? That’s today’s broadcast.

With me today, is my special guest Michael Seaford of Public Square. He is going to be telling us an innovation that he himself is involved with which I’ve been examining which I think is ingenious. It’s like a slingshot. It’s exactly the kind of weapon God would give to the marketplace in order to use free market dynamics to push back on woke corporations. I’m telling you something. It’s going to rock the business mountain. Of course, I’ve got Carl with me and Jonathan with me to make sure the facts are fact and feed in what we need. By the way, Jonathan, I need you guys be looking up, Top 1o, Big Woke Corporations. Because even I have got to do my research on this because I’m going to get the wheel of woke going which is like the Vanna White Wheel of Woke. We’re going to use it in our events and spin the wheel and we’re going to pick one woke corporation and then everyone’s going to have a united call to action. Which will probably include going to public square and doing their shopping with a patriot rather than with someone who’s trying to control them like an elite. So, Michael, tell us about the innovation that you’ve come up with.

Michael Seaford: It’s great to be here, Lance. Very grateful. Yeah, that was exciting. I love that you’re solutions oriented. You started off that way. That we’re not going to just focus on all the things that are going wrong but we’re actually going to push back, start to play some offense and that’s the whole reason we exist as a company. We created a platform to connect liberty-minded, patriotic Americans with their fellow consumers that share those same values and most importantly, the companies that share those values. So, we’ve built this platform just in the last few months that is nearly nationwide. almost 10,000 businesses on the platform and we just launched and tens of thousands of users that are daily getting to shop their values and push back against woke corporatism. Because you’re right, big business today is in bed with big government which is the actual definition of fascism.

So, when Starbucks comes out and lobbies for the progressive political causes and then weaponizes their company against the values. That tens of millions of Americans still hold dear to do the bidding of that big government that is weaponizing their values against those same Americans. Anybody that’s that the current administration has deemed enemies of their political agenda. You have a really big problem. And it’s sad too, because the ones that are really most detrimentally affected are the small businesses that are patriotic, family owned, and operated. They’re not in bed with this sort of big corporatist slash progressive government agenda. They want to operate their businesses and serve their communities with their values at the forefront. These are veteran-owned businesses, Christian-owned businesses that are really being sacrificed on the altar of woke progressivism.

So, what we’ve done is that we’ve created this platform to connect these people that have the same love of the traditional values that have made America special in the first place so that we know that what we’re endorsing with our wallets, we can be proud of. And we’re having a blast doing it and we’re changing the country.

Lance: So, let me just see if I got straight. So, I want to make sure everybody understands this works. Imagine Yelp or you’re looking for a cup of coffee. Normally, your family would be giving you the Starbucks card which is unfortunately, that’s like an easy go to now. So, you give out a gift card and what happens when you go to Starbucks? What are you actually endorsing?

Michael Seaford: You’re endorsing the funding of Planned Parenthood. 2019, Starbucks came out and announced that they were matching employee contributions to Planned Parenthood. So, not only are you enabling Planned Parenthood’s rise and the continuation of their efforts to kill the unborn and to the women that they claim to help. But you’re also funding a system that encourages their employees at Starbucks to also contribute to that same organization.

Lance: So, there could be a rise of a new competing franchise, but here’s the deal, this is why I love this. I’m shopping for my coffee locally. I mean, I’m living 90% of my time. Most people aren’t traveling around the world like you and I do around, because we have national businesses. But most people are doing work within 15, 20 minutes of their house or their office, right. So, that means we’re going locally to the ChickfilA’s or to the Starbucks or to the Apple Store or whatever. So now, you have the option of identifying a patriot, a believer, someone who is in the middle class struggling with a small business, paying their taxes.

This is the salt of the earth that makes America work. And instead of having to give your money to the big national corporation, we’re now pushing back and investing locally. The money by the way that is local has more power, because those dollars circulating in your county actually increase the aggregate wealth of your county as opposed to shipping your money up to New York and having it dispersed over to China or something.

Michael Seaford: You nailed it and we have some online businesses on the platform as well that have a national presence. But even them, they’re committed to trying to source as many of their products from the United States as possible. They’re prioritizing American-made manufacturing. So, even these companies that more of an online presence. They’re saying we want our, there’s a great company on the app that just came to mind called Lion & Lamb Co. They’re based out of Atlanta, Georgia and they’ve been on the absence basically day one and what I love about them is that they’re trying to really overturn the golf industry and they’re trying to bring American-made principles, values, and products to the golf industry marketplace and they create the finest quality polo shirts and golf apparel that you’ll ever see and it’s all made here. And what’s an Amazing is that if you use the code Public SQ, when you go to Lion & Lamb site, they’ll give you 10% off of any of your purchase.

So, we’re actually trying to incentivize people to further the American small business economy and I think this is the way we win in the long term. It’s not just to complain about woke corporatism because it is a problem but push back against it with your wallet.

Lance: I’m telling you, this is so cool. Jonathan, what do you got over there for what’s going on with the woke corporations of America?

Jonathan: So, we got a couple over here. Here, not necessarily listed an order. Obviously, we’ve got Twitter, Facebook, social media companies. We’ve got Bank of America is on that list.

Lance: Bank of America.

Jonathan: JP Morgan and Chase. Let me see, Netflix.

Lance: The big banks. I would rather go with the local banks until they assimilate them all to the borg of the beast system. Support your local bank. Well, give me a story there, Michael.

Lance: We, when we were starting this company, originally used a Chase Branch to get us off the ground and we up having to switch banks out of a desire to obviously practice what we preach. What ended up happening is that Chase actually, when we started to get some publicity around what we’re doing at Public Square, our local banker called us. And said, ‘Hey, I’m a little concerned about the whole conservatism thing. Can you tell me more about your political values>’ And we said, ‘Absolutely not, you’re a bank. You’re not allowed to ask us these questions and we hung up. Within a month, we had completely switched over to AXOS Bank, AXOS. They’re a large bank that is doing incredible work communities around the country. They have a massive online presence so they make business banking easy and they are run by a team of patriots that love our country, love these values.

They’re CEO is a Christian and has stepped in the gap and petition for Christian values every single step of the way especially through the last two years and he’s a man that we’re proud to partner with. It’s an organization we’re proud to partner with. So, the banking is a big one because people all the time feel like we felt like, gosh, we’re really forced into these few choices and it’s not the reality. Farmers and Merchants Bank, another fantastic one. Lot of local credit unions have taken a stand for their patriotic Christian. Pro American…

Lance: This is huge. I’m telling you because Bank of America.

Michael Seaford: Yup.

Lance: I don’t know when they went communist but I got a call from them and they started, they actually made me go through an audit. This is your bank. Maybe go through a Chinese Soviet style audit of my non-profit discussing who advertised on my platform. They went through literally an audit to see whether I guess what I was laundering funds. I guess is a white terrorist organization and all that I am is a Christian conservative who’s conspicuous for two best-selling books on Trump. So, that put me right at the top of American Garland’s list of potential domestic terrorists, which is hilarious if you think about it.

So, then my wife got really furious because they wanted to get financial information that they could easily access if they wanted to go to the government to get it. It’s government record. But they wanted to disclose stuff. We said no. Our transactions and our donors, our clients, and you have no business actually meddling with the how we run our business.

Michael Seaford: Yep.

Lance: And so they froze funds. Believe it or not. And they froze payroll funds to destroy our ministry. They froze ministry funds. I could have had a lawsuit. But I chose to I had already Lord already told us to get the heck out of Bank of America. And we went with another Bank. Awesome. And I think it’s Frost bank locally but we know Christians that are heading the bank, the local banks. Take your business elsewhere and I decided I would strike back at the right time but you can’t be emotional about these. That’s when I got the idea of doing a national arena broadcast with a million viewers and 10,000 people in an arena and have everyone yell at the same time. And I say, ‘What time is it?’ And they say, ‘It’s time for Wheel of Woke’. And we’re actually getting the wheel made and we’ll spin the wheel and it will not surprise me if the wheel stops at Bank of America and I discuss with them what they could do. But you know if they have local banks on an app.

Michael Seaford: Yep.

Lance: Like yours. I don’t have to specify one winner because any conservative bank owner wins. If I go want to go to the app right now and see who have you got in your own town, it’s on the app. And if you don’t have the app download it because that’s how we play Wheel of Woke. We give our business to someone else.

Michael Seaford: Love it.

Lance: And by the way you got to notify them and then we give them a Twitter account or something you say just get open up a Twitter account for the sake of notifying. You’re going to have fun with Wheel of Woke every week we’re going to pick one major corporation. I got lawyers, trademark everything all set up. Carl, what do you think?

Carl: I’m curious Mike how Public Square works. So, how do you go about finding these details about these companies, about where their morals or their ethics are? What’s the process like?

Michael Seaford: Absolutely. So, for the user, when you sign up it’s completely free. You can find us at PublicSQ.com”. Lancewallnau.com/PublicSQ”, more specifically. And it’s a real easy process to sign up. Once you sign up, takes about three minutes. You create a profile, your data, your information is never shared. There’s actually a transparency page that you’ll see on the first screen. And if you click into that transparency page, it’ll share some of that information that highlights the fact that you as the user are not the product in this experience.

It’s really important that you know that because a lot of social media consumers have really been burned. And it’s been really evil what Facebook and some of these people have done through the fine print to American users on these tech platforms. So what we do is we have you sign up. It’s very quick. You can keep as much of your information and anonymous as you would like. Also on that transparency page, you’re going to see 7 values and those 7 values are what we determine as freedom lovings. When we say that phrase, these businesses are freedom loving. They’re patriotic. We get asked often. What do you mean by that? Those 7 values determine what we mean and these of 7 values are very high level. You can find them again at “PublicSQ.com”. on that transparency page.

I love our country. I love our constitution. I will respect the constitution and I will respect the values that it holds dear. I will never infringe upon an employee or a consumer’s medical rights. That’s a big one because in COVID, we got our start highlighting a lot of the businesses that weren’t going to force you to wear a mask, weren’t going to force you to get vaccinated in order to partake in their employment agreement and so that was a big one for us. You’re also not going to buy into identity politics. So, we’re not going to highlight black owned businesses. We’re not going to highlight white owned businesses. We are for all Americans. And then it’s also really important that they support free enterprise.

And so, these 7 values again very high level basically say I love my country and I love our freedoms. When businesses sign up, those are the 7 values that they agree to Respect and not to spend time, money, or resource antagonistically against. So, businesses are saying, I’m here for America. I’m here for the patriotic businesses. I’m here for the values that have made America special and the constitution that we hold dear. So, when users join, they know that these businesses are ones that they can be proud to support. Again, many of those businesses will actually give discounts.

Final thing, I’ll mention is that for the businesses to sign up, it’s also free and it’s very simple and quick and so this is a two-sided marketplace. It takes consumers and business to make this thing work and its incredible interaction for these businesses and consumers to get to have together. That even Yelp can’t provide. Google can’t provide it. These companies don’t focus on the individual. They don’t focus on the small businesses and making sure that their stories are told and that’s something that we want to remain a value that we hold dear at Public Square all the way into the future.

So, users, businesses, it’s both free, takes a few minutes to sign up, create a profile on that transparency page. You can see what we mean when we say that this is a pro constitution business, pro-freedom business, and you can begin your search.

Lance: I love that. I think that works. Jonathan, anything else you got over there?

Jonathan: So, and I don’t mean to pry in too deeply but just when I hear you discussing these things specifically when you say that the users can join for free and the businesses can join for free and you’re specifically saying that the users are not the product with their information and things. So, how are you making your profit? How is this profitable business for you? If you’re not getting it from the users and you’re not getting it from the companies to join and be on your platform.

Michael Seaford: Fantastic question. So, when businesses join, again, completely free, there’s a question that’s asked at the end of the business onboarding experience. And it says, would you like to inquire about increased advertising exposure within the platform? Because here’s what’s happened. We’ve had businesses that join the app and they have, there’s a hair salon that comes to mind immediately. Their profits jumped 500% in a month because of their exposure on Public Square. With a simple free profile, they’ve had consumers visit them in droves because they know that there’s values alignment there. And they’re tired of supporting this salon in their local region that is part of a mega sort of conglomerate that is acted against their values and celebrates Pride Month and all the different things.

They find a barbershop or a salon on the app and they say, wow, okay, this is something that I feel like I can trust here. They’ll go and they support. What ends up happening is a byproduct of that is that the small business that’s on the app that has taken a stand for their values, sees their profits surge through the roof. Those businesses then say, ‘Wait, how can I experience more of that?’ And so, what we’ve actually done is that we have made money through selling subscription advertising. Meaning, we don’t have to sell user data to the businesses to make money.

Businesses can pay for certain features. They can pay for an email blast. They can pay for push notifications that get sent to different users in communities around the country. That’s how we make money and what’s incredible is that we’ve had businesses completely divert their advertising spend away from Yelp and Google. Because they finally have found a values aligned advertising source that allows for their business to flourish and prosper in a way that is far more profitable than of their other advertising interactions thus far. So, that’s how we make our money and again that’s labeled in the transparency page. Users can check that out.

Lance: Leave it to my millennial producers to have to ask you those questions. Forcing you through the grid.

Michael Seaford: I’m happy to.

Lance: Near socialist grid of giving back to the community having yeah, by the way the prophetmotive is a sanctified motive. It goes to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob where they sow generously but they reap generously. I want to just conclude with one thing. There’s a Great verse in the book of Romans, first chapter where Paul is writing on his way to Rome. And he says, “Pray that I have a prosperous trip to Rome. Now, the apostle Paul is getting his prosperous trip to Rome and if you know your Bible history which very few people actually do know their Bible history. You’ll find in like the 24th and 25th chapters of the book of Acts.

Paul gets his prosperous trip to Rome. He gets on board a ship as a prisoner, going to be try over the issue of charges against him, brought by Jews who wanted to kill him. And he advises the ship owner and the captain and the and the Centurion who is in charge of the Roman soldiers. Not to leave the port that they’re in for he perceives as a man of God, that they should stay there for the winter because it would be dangerous if they were to depart. He has a premonition that the devil will try to kill him on the way to Rome. And sure enough, they over him and take off for Rome. They get caught in a perfect storm, a three-way storm and they end up having to throw their cargo over. So, they’ve lost their economics.

Then, they start worrying about if the ship’s going to break up or if they’re going to die. And an angel comes to Paul and says, “Fear not Paul, for you have an appointment in Rome and God is granting you all them that sail with you. Meaning, he’s no longer sailing with them. He is going to be deliver because he’s got to go up here before Nero. God is going to deliver him and everyone sailing with him. He’s no longer on their ship, they’re sailing with his ship. He has shown that the ship will break up Michael and the ship does break up. Breaks up on an island called Malta. On that island, while they’re waiting for another ship to show up.

He ends up working in local politics, local governance and local community activity. Prays for the father-in-law of the Chieftain who gets healed, which makes the father-in-law happy, the father-in-law’s daughter happy who’s married to the chieftain. So, it’s affecting family, politics and healing and then God begins to move in a gracious powerful way on the island of Malta’s.So, much so that by the time the ship arrives Paul has thoroughly apostolically shaped his local territory. I believe that America’s heading towards economic discipline but not national judgement. National judgement is what God does when he’s putting you in the dustbin.Discipline is what he’s doing when he’s trying to spare you getting put into the dustbin of history.

So, America’s going through a divine spanking right now and it’s going to be manifesting at the gas pump and it’s going to manifest in other places. But God has a strategy for his people. I believe Michael, the reason I met you and the reason I wanted to do a broadcast just with you which I don’t always do. People will attest is that I believe that God is going to begin to release innovative ideas for the sake of his people that are going to be enable him to prosper in Malta while he’s dismantling and rebuilding the ship of state and reforming our economy. And I think that every one of you that wants to get a hold of that message on America’s Prosperous Shipwreck, the Prophetic Blueprint for how to survive the shaking that has already started.

I believe that America shall survive and it’s going to be because of young men like you. Young guys we’ve got like on my show over here remind me why I do this at my age. Why am I doing this?
