AI Takeover: Digital Discovery or Demons?

Even to the point that Elon Musk and Wozniak, Steve Jobs partner in Apple.They’re tapping the breaks and saying hold on now this thing is getting out of control. We better get ahead of this. Something interesting is taking place. The same time technology is a tool that in the right hands like anything else, like nuclear power. It could be destructive or it could actually provide clean efficient energy. Chat GPT and these various other AI programs. We’re going to analyze them in a way that you haven’t seen before. I want to alert you to something you could do digitally right now even in the realm of protecting yourself against the big businesses. I’m tired of looking at small businesses. Some 40% are going bankrupt, because what the government’s done with banking and with shutting down the economy the way that they have.

Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the Lance Wallnau Show. It’s great privilege to be able to talk to you. We have so many millions of downloads now that I’m beginning to appreciate the fact that there is a movement beginning in the nation. I’m telling you there is a movement. There’s a mass of us. It may be a ubiquitous mass, maybe ill–defined. We may not know what to call it, but there’s definitely awaken humanity in America rising up and it’s rising up I think in strength right now. We need to catch the moment. And with that thought in mind want to say hello to Mercedes Sparks who is here with me today. Mercedes, are you ready for today’s show?

Mercedes: I am ready, I’m excited Lance.

Lance: Okay, here we go. I want to start off with something which is one of the big debates we have back here off the air, it’s on AI. Because Mercedes has this opinion that Chat GPT is like a friend a cousin, who can be redeemed. Somehow, she’s trying to lead chat GPT to the Lord or something. Chat GPT is I read a study. I want to talk to you about this now. I read a study, a New Zealand study where 14 separate analyses were done on the opinions of Chat GPT on various subjects. 13 out of 14 data sets of profiles came back clearly illustrating the fact that Chat GPTand artificial intelligence is biased. It’s being programmed by the left or as Mercedes will tell you and I’ll anticipate the argument. No, it isn’t. Chat’s just being formed.

Mercedes: I don’t even think you need to be here. I think you could just have the conversation without me. You mean like and then Mercedes says, but then I said, go ahead.

Lance: As she would probably point out, Chat GPT is just serving what’s out there and in the ubiquitous landscape, there’s so much left-wing news out there in perspective. It’s just, it’s like a child. It just feeds back what it’s been taught from mommy and daddy and right now, mommy and daddy are all liberals out there. So, but there are alternatives as we heard from Kevin Freeman. In one of our earlier interviews from the Economic War Room, there’s technology which can actually go up against Google and these other artificial intelligence search engine systems. Because they’ll just survey conservative sources. How about that? You set the dial kind of like when I’m sitting in the car. I can set that so they have a little bit more music coming out of the right speaker than the left, a little more.

I’m going to have a little more coming from the conservative viewpoint to flavor what’s coming up. You’re not going to get that from Chat GPT. I was about to say until Ladies and gentlemen, breaking news. Musk, Wozniak, and other tech leaders are all in agreement. Something’s wrong. They want a 6-month pause on AI development. They’re saying, hold tap the hate breaks there,people. Tesla chief executive Elon Musk, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak and hundreds of other technology leaders are calling for a pause in artificial intelligence and why are they doing that? Because the all-language processing tool has earned worldwide recognition in recent months, but the reality is they’re aware of a bias formation. They’re aware of the danger of the fact that AI is only as safe as the programmers that are working with it. Musk reportedly believes that Chat GPT is an example of training AI to be woke.

Now that’s an interesting development. Thank God for Elon. Look at how much he’s done for us with Twitter. Just basically breaking a stranglehold that was on there. And now he’s saying look man we have got to get ahead of this because I don’t want AI to become a woke engine of education.

Mercedes: Yeah.

Lance: Your own child.

Mercedes: That we tell them on Liberty.

Lance: Has discovered that AI can be useful for helping with homework, haven’t you?

Mercedes: Helping with homework AKA writing a little paper for you. But yeah, I mean it’s interesting parenting in 2023 of saying no. You must do your homework. Chat GPT cannot do the homework for you but listen, I agree with all the things you’re saying. I don’t want you to spin it like I don’t want people to think that I’m pro woke chat GBT because yeah, I think it is programmed. I mean, just ask it about abortion and it comes back with women’s rights and then you talk about, what about the rights. Because I do talk with it, but what about the rights of the women who are in the womb that are being murdered and it’s like, well, it doesn’t know what to do with it. Like it’s like, well, that’s a good point and eventually, when you end up with it and it just gives in to whatever viewpoint you might have. It’s like yeah, well that’s a good point, but it is.

Lance: It’s a program to give you lip service like it’s actually being persuaded a little bit.

Mercedes: Yeah, but it is a snapshot of the internet is what it is and there are some programming restrictions on it. But obviously there’s way more liberal progressive news content and content on the internet than there are conservatives. So, I almost wonder if you could remedy that. Could you just create more additional sites additional articles and it almost kind of like balance out like if somebody did it in mass, but it’s just fascinating to think about. But I do agree and even Elon’s brought up the idea of what as a futurist what does it look like when China has their own AI? What does it look like when the US has an AI and your governments and their AI’s battling each other. When it becomes so intelligent that you’re dealing with things like that. Who’s going to have the best AI? So, from a futurist perspective it’s a fascinating discussion to have.

Lance: Well, Elon I remember Elon’s talking with Joe Rogan this is when I took it seriously when Elon was freaking Joe out. Because Joe is trying to figure out if he was an alien or not. His answers were so enigmatic and so detached. But Elon was basically saying that there’s a great danger when intelligence is multiplying increasing at the rate that it’s increasing and it actually gets beyond human management and that it’s smart enough to be able to work around. I mean it’s interesting how art can be prophetic when you think of the whole Terminator series where the singularity now the…

Mercedes: Singularity.

Lance: Yes, singularity. But the idea that that technology can get to the point where actually preemptively starts to attack the humans that can potentially attack it. And so, the instinct of self-preservation is such that it develops a consciousness of its own existence at which point it begins to protect itself from you. But that goes to 2001. Do you remember Stanley Kubrick I think was one that made the movie 2001 Space Odyssey? Where Hal, the computer actually, starts killing off the crew that is on the spaceship.

Mercedes: Yeah.

Lance: And then the guy who is surviving realizes that he’s dealing with Hal and the problem is Hal is trying to kill him

Mercedes: Oh interesting.

Lance: And so, then he goes in to take apart Hal. Hm. It’s like oh my gosh. But I mean this is like we’re talking about this is not like we haven’t thought about this before. It’s just we’re here now. That’s what’s freaky about it.

Mercedes: I’m telling you; this is the year of AI and we will remember life before AI and life after AI. Like we do cellphones and right now, I think it is really scary right now. I do, I absolutely think and I don’t know why some smart congress person does not come out with this,but it’s a digital bill of rights that we as consumers as people who are using where our data a product now that as we use these tools, we should have some sort of digital bill of rights. I think that some sort of AI application how far AI gets to go should be included in that.

Lance: I don’t even know what you’re talking about. What are you envisioning here?

Mercedes: I’m just envisioning that I think that people need to be protected from technology the same way that we have a fundamental bill of rights. I think we’re in a completely different society with completely different tools and we need to have some guardrails in place that protect us as consumers.

Lance: And here this is the reason why people like Elon are scary to people. Now of course he’s been putting restrictions on raising alarms recently about the trans day of vengeance and stuff that he feels are incendiary fire-starting movements that get spread on the internet and he’s trying to tap down on not feeding stuff. But at the same time, he really believes. And this is the mistake of progresses in general. Which I think Elon is be is becoming disenchanted with which is that humanity is not starting off nice good or virtuous. Humanity is actually fallen. So, the more power and tools that you give to minority of people to control the masses. The more likely it is that they’ll use those powers and abilities to enslave the masses. Freedom is a phenomenon that is only existed for a couple hundred years in a few places. The vast length of humanity is about totalitarian kings rulers dictators and mob arcs and the surfs.

So, America’s got to protect itself. What I’m saying is you mentioned singularity. Elon is peculiarly inconsistent. In that the Neuralink is his idea about imagine you’ve got these vast AI capable you know satellite hubs floating around in space beaming down to earth and you can uplink in your brain to some of that super supernatural capacity. When we just did a show, earlier looking at real what the world called psychics that the Bible calls prophets Real predictive gifts that are able to pick up on information in a room that we could not know unless you were trying to deceive people. But there are people that actually have these gifts that can pick up on stuff. Well, what happens when you put a Neurallink in your head and you’re able to tap into knowledge that is AI information. How could that be used? That’s you’re now at the point where you’re no longer a normal breed of being. You’re now a hybrid.

Mercedes: Yeah. Oh, absolutely.

Lance: And Bannon was a guy that I saw pointing out. I mean he actually started giving segments. Steve’s great. He’s like the trauma incubator. If there’s something coming up, he addresses it. He’s going after it which is what I love about his style. But he acts as the first one I saw while he’s dealing with economic meltdown and political meltdown and geopolitical China as a threat. Suddenly Davos WAF and then the Neurallink and then we start talking about this transhumanism stuff.

Mercedes: Yeah. Well, I mean Elon it’s the only way we can compete with artificial intelligence is that we have to incorporate it into our own being. So that’s where I think all that comes from. He’s thinking alright well how do I, he’s thinking where this how this placed out.

Lance: Tony Stark is realizing. This is interesting, bear with me. I know so many people get exasperated with me because they already know this before I discover it. Lance, didn’t you know this? I’m figuring it out too people. I’m covering a lot of data here in my 7 Mountains. But now I’m realizing something. That Tony Stark is trying to create a Neurallink integration so that we are staying one step ahead of the non-human development of AI getting ahead of us.

Mercedes: That’s exactly why he thinks that needs to happen. Fascinating, right.

Lance: Yeah, it is because he of all people unlike Yuval Noah Harari. Yuval Noah Harari with his lunatic fringe thinking about surveillance under the skin. You ever track with this dude?

Mercedes: Yeah.

Lance: He can’t wait to get you injected with something where they could see who you’re with, what you’re thinking, what you’re feeling, what you’re doing, hook it up to AI and be able to monitor you and control you like Stalin never could and he’s like salivating and want you to vibrating with excitement over the idea. Break: In the Bible, it says that the word in the future is going to be remade and the future world is without oceans but with gardens and ponds. Gardens is like central to the vision God has not only for the past but the future and that’s one of the reasons why every day I’m coming to the office. Lance: Alright, ladies and gentlemen. We’re back again and I want to Talk to you about the various uses of artificial intelligence because I think we’re being a little bit too narrow. When we look at just the one that I’m familiar with which is the Chat GPT and now there’s a new version of that. But I just want to say that as much mischief as can come out of this. It’s kind of like the automobile or it’s like the internet. Yes, for sure. There could be bad uses but there’s also some very promising potentialities. Let me give you one of the bad uses that I’m thinking about right now.

Mercedes: Is Chat GPT making you say this right now? Is Hal in the room with us?

Lance: Chat GPT is exactly taking over my voice. Here’s the point. What I saw two really disturbing memes come out, because we’re getting to the point now where I really believe that this information can be used as a weapon to stir and manipulate people. I mean, this intelligence can be used for various reasons. You could actually have it tell you what would be the most incendiary meme to put right now in light of this situation and Chat GPT for instance, I saw deep fake new photos of Trump being arrested.

Mercedes: Oh yeah, those are all.

Lance: And then Melania fighting with the police. And if you were to like take that and you were a rogue regime that wanted to just program people, you would take, I mean, imagine how you could stimulate the Muslim nations to violence by showing how they’re desecrating the Prophet Muhammad.

Mercedes: Yup.

Lance: I mean, it would be so easy for lying media to manipulate public sentiment no longer with just words that are propaganda lies but with deep fake images and then we have voice apps. I mean, I was laughing. I really got to remove this one voice app. It’s like $5 a week. It’s so expensive.

Mercedes: Yeah.

Lance: I don’t need it, but I mean, I did Elon Musk. I could play it for you right now. Blow your mind. I literally talk into it and say, make it sound like Elon. Elon comes out. Make it sound like Trump. Trump comes out. Make it sound like a Barack Obama. It gets to the point where I was actually thinking, I could do cardboard cutouts here like I do with my son. I and actually have them say whatever I want them to say.

Mercedes: You mean that’s not Mike Lindell behind you.

Lance: That’s not Mike Lindell behind me in the live. Exactly, and it really isn’t. It’s a cardboard people. But what I want you to catch is that the technology is getting legs fast and I wanted to take a moment now to say Mercedes, give me two or three other AI application apps that are doing some things that are very interesting right now. That are maybe neutral in nature.

Mercedes: No, I mean, Chat GPT in my opinion can also be neutral. I mean, if you’re not asking it topical incendiary topics, it’s a great tool to use for things like copywriting. I’ve used it as a travel agent like I’m taking a trip. Can you identify the top sites I need to be looking at? And that was really before it could really all it could do is text. But now, there’s an upgraded version of Chat GPT as Chat GPT four and it does images. So, like in in one of the examples, I saw the guy demoing, he drew out on the back of a napkin, a website design and uploaded it and said, “I want this website to function this way. Can you give me the code for it?” And it coded that entire like I mean hand drawn like you would draw or I would draw and gave the code. They just uploaded it to the website and it worked completely. It does other things now. I know and it counts like items and images and so let’s say you’re in your pantry, you take a picture of the kind of elements you have to cook with what can I make with this. It identifies three potatoes, one onion, and it’ll do all of that. I mean it’s amazing. So, I use it mainly for copywriting so it makes my life really a lot easier. But other things other than Chat GPT.

Lance: Give me some more images. What other, you have a Jesus one you did.

Mercedes: Well yeah, so well so I started this because you actually spoke at a conference and you’re like Mercedes will talk on AI. So, in my spare time I’ve been putting together I have like 50 different websites that I want to highlight on a webinar. Just for people who are in business or people who are creative and entrepreneurial. This AI really opens up doors where you would have to pay staff to think about to program, to graphic design, all these different things.Hundreds of thousands of dollars in order to do and you don’t need to do that anymore. So, like one example let’s say “Mid Journey”. So, Mid Journey is an AI. It’s a graphical AI and so all you do is you type into it; I want a California Coastal Land escape and you can like attach all these different kind of filters to it like photo realistic. It’ll spit out for like cliffside, ocean, I mean waves. It looks like I went and took that photo myself.

It’ll do things like I can upload a photo of you and say, I want this photo in Disney Pixar style and it’ll give it to me. I can say, I want this photo in cartoon, like old school bugs. I want this and it’ll render it like that.

Lance: Oh my gosh.

Mercedes: I mean, it’s unbelievable and to watch other people’s creativity.

Lance: And what’s amazing about this is its original artwork which now you own.

Mercedes: Yeah.

Lance: Because nobody else did it.

Mercedes: Well exactly. So, I want to do like a little E-course. So, I’m going to do like a free webinar but I want to do a little E–course. This is like my plan.

Lance: How many of you would like to put it in your chat thread right now? How many of you would like to sign up for this how to utilize the 15 different sites that?

Mercedes: No, I have 50. I have 50 sites, but I’m going to do a deep dive on some of some of them because I mean there’s one called “Synthesia” and it’s a person. It looks like a person. So,let’s say you want like a customer review video. Let’s say you want a little avatar that pops up on your website, right? So, you can have this little person say like hey welcome to Molina’s Restaurante. We’re here and we’re your local, blah blah blah blah, and it’ll look like that person saying it. They have things that do like the open when you’re out of town and we have to use some like pre-recorded edited footage, we use an AI. It’s called Well Said, Well Said Labs and so it’s like, hey, you’re watching the Lance Wallnau show blah blah blah. Most of the commercials you see on TV today aren’t people anymore that do the voice overs for those truck commercials,that’s all AI. It’s fascinating and if we really wanted to, we could take content of you and duplicate your voice and then you could do the intro to your own show. This is a little more expensive so we haven’t done that.

So, that’s like a handful. I mean, there’s another one I find fascinating. It’s called Runway. It’s “RunwayML.com”. This thing though has a function in it. It has a lot of different things, but one of them is endless photo. So, let’s say like what I was doing for a while is I want to do a children’s book illustration and so I got a picture of this blonde-haired girl in a medieval background from Mid Journey and then endless photo. You just kind of move this little box over a little bit and say, hey, complete the rest of this. Complete the rest of it in this style and it does it. I mean you end up with a it just invents like four options for you to pick. Anyways, I could go on and on as you could tell because I find this stuff fascinating. I mean if you’re entrepreneurial, I mean this is like I’m telling you, this is life before the cellphone, life after the cellphone. And yes, there are real concerns about where it goes. But I do think we need to be looking into it to say how can we use this especially even as Christians.

Lance: I have to say we’re really impressed me with some Mercedes was showing me if you use this AI and it’ll do your artwork for you and then use this AI and it’ll set it up for being able to post it for you on Instagram and on all these different platforms. So, that basically you could do a whole apartment in a certain theme of art from the coffee cups to the pillowcases.

Mercedes: Yeah.

Lance: And then it could be for you on four or five different platforms.

Mercedes: Yeah.

Lance: Basically, it’s a sequence of AI almost like widgets. That would work together, communicate with each other and you build a business literally in the back porch and it’s working for you like the fisherman’s out there fishing while you build another AI business.

Mercedes: Yeah. I’ll tell you one more and then we’ll stop because I don’t want people to get bored with it. But so, I was thinking, oh I want to create an example for this E–course and so I was doing coastal prints and stuff like that. I thought, well, our demo likes Jesus and so I went to Mid Journey and generated these images of Jesus but then I wanted to demonstrate how some of the AI now makes images talk and so I took pictures of Jesus. I put it into this other AI called “D–ID” and so I put the image in there and I put red letters then.

Lance: What “D–ID” do?

Mercedes: So, it animates the photo. Makes it talk. And so, it just the mouth like moves and so I put like red letters in, right? Like in my father’s house, there are many mansions and I’m going to prepare a place for you. So, I just do it. I create a fake TikTok. I call it “AIJesus.IO” and this thing went viral, Lance. It’s got like 50,000 views. I have multiple videos up there because I thought, oh, I have like a budding ministry right now because people are in the comments like, yes, Lord. I’m sorry Jesus. I have to come back to you. I love you lord and I was like…

Lance: What?

Mercedes: I know was anticipating that. So, it’s just I try to pick bunch of different looking Jesuses, because everybody’s kind of got a different idea of what he looks like. But it’s just powerful and the stuff that’s out there I stumbled into a whole and that’s literally 5 sites out of like 50 I could talk about so really fascinating.

Lance: Well, I hope those of you that are my age it’s officially traumatized by what you just heard.

Mercedes: Oh gosh.

Lance: An enthusiastic millennial discussing all the advantages and exciting applications of AI.

Mercedes: And then if I just put the chip right here in my hand and in my forehead.

Lance: You’re only one step away from a laser tattoo in your forehead or the back of your right hand for ease of access in and out of all kinds of place shopping on Amazon.

Mercedes: There’s absolute discernment, but I like to see what’s happening out there. I’m a bit of a futurist. I like things like that.

Lance: Well, and what’s interesting is I actually entered in a book. Remember this where I was experimenting with this idea. I worked like couple years of this story. I said, I’m going to give you some characters for a book. And here’s who the characters are and here’s the world that they’re in and it’s fictional and fictional. What would you do? And actually, wrote pretty much the same story that I came up with. It came in the chapters and I thought well because there’s a structure to storytelling. There’s always an enemy, a worthy opponent, there’s always a challenge,there’s always the test of the main character, there’s always the evolution the main character,there’s always a near death or a destruction when they come back. I thought wait a second wait,but they can’t do jokes. I’m trying to get AI humor; humor is still a very sophisticated human function of the absurd and music. You can’t say write me a song like yesterday on, I mean you it could give you a song but he had to give me lyrics.

Mercedes: There are some.

Lance: In this style of Gilbert and Sullivan. It was hilarious.

Mercedes: Yeah.

Lance: Because it gave me all these lyrics. I thought oh my gosh this is frightening.

Mercedes: There are some that are trying that and it’s not great. But there are other ones that are just instrumental. So, let’s say you want just instrumental music. You can upload a song, and I wanted to sound like this but Mozart. Make it like you upload Taylor Swift but make it Mozart and it’ll do that. So, that one’s I think it’s AIVA, so I don’t know how you say that.

Lance: I got to land the plan on this segment. But you guys remember years ago when the Mook synthesizer came out we thought it was so hip and like when we were younger and there’s a thing called Switched on Bach. Which was box cantatas and Brandon Birkin shared it that. But it was done on a computer so that it was digit ties and we thought it was so trippy because it was like Bach on computer and it was so, but now that’s like ho hum for you guys.

Mercedes: Man.

Lance: This is out of control people but we’re going to keep an eye on it. We’re going to keep an eye on it and when we come back in the next segment, I’m going to explain to you what that is. I’ve got an object sitting between me and Mercedes. People keep asking, what’s there between you? It’s actually, I’m going to explain it to you when we get back. It’s important you know what it is. It’s a rare artifact not by AI.

I’ve got to look at backup energy. I’ve got to look at food. I went and visited my friend Ken. And he has a ranch. He has enough food and water there to take care of him and his 8 grandchildren and his 4 children and this guy takes it seriously and he’s a big, he’s a brilliant businessman.
