Charis Business Summit – Part 2

What was the purpose behind the “plundering of Egypt?” This is important: God didn’t reveal the whole purpose for the wealth that was plundered. If you think about it, from the wilderness to the Promised land, there were no malls they were going to be going through, no shopping sprees, no houses to decorate. They were living in tents!

When Moses went up the mountain, a fascinating transaction took place. He got the blueprint for what God wanted to do with the portion of the wealth taken out of Egypt. Moses received the blueprint which had to do with establishing God’s house as an influence over the nation. As Moses received this vision, there was pressure going on at the same time God’s giving the blueprint for His House.

Catch this sequence:

  • The Hebrews already left Egypt. They have wealth but they haven’t seen what the purpose is for it yet.
  • Moses who’s on the mountain, away from the crowd and close to God, receives the blueprint from Him.
  • Aaron managing the chaos below the mountain and under pressure from the Hebrews, receives a counterfeit blueprint from the devil, gives in and allows a golden calf to be made.
  • Moses comes down from 40 days of heavenly bliss on the mountain with God to find a golden calf idol and half-dressed Hebrews worshipping that idol.
  • Aaron lies to Moses when confronted about the idol saying he doesn’t know where it came from, casting blame upon the Hebrews.

Don’t miss this point: This is the pressure people get under when there’s wealth transference–when under the pressure of public opinion, people will cave.

Preachers get a revelation they know is not for them. Prophets will hear that which other people need but they need great counsel for themselves because they don’t prophesy over themselves. Wealth creation is the SAME THING – except, the wealth created is not for YOU.
