Trump & Biden Get Ready To “Rumble!”

Published

on

The political arena is heating up with a spicy debate after a challenge from President Joe Biden was posted on X Wednesday to former President Donald Trump. Biden has proposed two presidential debates ahead of the election. The first debate is scheduled for June 27, hosted by CNN, and the second is set for September 10, hosted by ABC.

President Trump, never one to shy away from a challenge, quickly accepted the invitation. In a post on Truth Social, Trump said, “I am Ready and Willing to Debate Crooked Joe at the two proposed times in June and September,” adding a bit of his signature flair with “Let’s get ready to Rumble!!!”

This decision comes after both campaigns had informal discussions about bypassing the Commission on Presidential Debates, which has traditionally organized these events. The Biden campaign cited concerns about the timing of the debates and the commission’s handling of previous debates as reasons for seeking alternative arrangements.

Biden’s challenge to Trump was notably short, with users on X (formerly Twitter) quickly pointed out the challenge was all of fourteen seconds with five edits.

Additionally, it was discovered there was some “fine print” details regarding the debate saying,

• No live audience

• RFK Jr. is banned

• Trump’s mic is muted when Biden speaks

• Only hosted by NPR, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, or CBS

• Moderated by Democrat-aligned reporter”

The internet, of course, had an absolute field day with this development. There were a plethora of reactions, ranging from excitement and anticipation to skepticism and a lot of humor.

Andrea Widburg @Bookwormroom pointed out: “Let’s get ready to mumble! Biden issues a bizarre debate challenge to Trump. There are a lot of things wrong with the 13-second video, including the weird demands behind it but Trump, naturally, has the perfect response.”

Another user, responded to Biden’s post on X with a clip from one of the debates between the two Presidents from 2020:

And yet another posted the following response to Biden:

The debates are expected to cover various topics, from the economy and foreign policy to the candidates’ respective records and visions for the future. With the election looming, these debates will be closely watched and heavily analyzed, as they could significantly shape public opinion.

With a classic showdown on the horizon, and as some quipped, “Let’s get ready to mumble!” the air is thick with anticipation and a healthy dose of humor. The question remains––will this political rumble live up to the hype? Stay tuned to find out!
