The latter rain and the former rain, but when does that rain come down, it comes down at the same time, the double portion. But this double portion is the unique doctrine. In the Bible It says that the double portion goes to the firstborn. The church is called to be the church of the firstborn.But not everybody it seems is walking with God as a first born. So, when the portion outpouring comes, the warning comes in Hebrews. Don’t be like Esau. Don’t sell your birthright and lose access to the inheritance of the double portion. 

I’m going to teach you in this unique episode. The power of the birthright and the firstborn coming together. And we’re going to see how that merges in end time history with the Bible and the 5 blessings that are coming upon those who retain their birthright. Welcome, welcome all of you 1 AM awakening wonders of the world. This is the Lance Wallnau late night revelation rant. It’s going to be very exciting we’ve been talking in this series about the rewards that Jesus has that he’s prepared for those believers that are prepared to meet him. And remember the bride the Bible says has made herself ready. There’s I think it’s this series that I’m doing now is really to put an incentive, a desire, an appetite into us to prepare ourselves. Because let’s face it. These are difficult times in a lot of ways. You’re looking at a world. I have my Bible open earlier. I was going to read this earlier. You’re looking at a world where the scripture says,that in the last days, the spirit speaks expressly. Some should depart from the faith. First Timothy chapter 4. “Giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils”.

You think all that teaching out there that is like this crazy Marxism and all this other stuff is going on is of the world. Now, the demonically inspired things that that screw people up and as a result of that there’s going to come pressure in the last days. Paul goes on to tell Timothy that there’s certain signs of people in the last days. Men should be lovers of their own selves and they shall have this kind of like avarice and yet their greed shall be unusual. They’ll be covetous boasters, blasphemers, without natural affection. They’re going to falsely accuse, constantly accuse you of things you haven’t done and they’ll be fierce without self-control and they’ll despise you if you’re a good person.

Well, how are you going to handle those days? I’ll tell you how you have to handle it. You have to be filled with the Holy Spirit. That’s all I can tell you. In other words, God has promised an end-time outpouring which is going to be stronger than what the enemy throws at you. God has got an end-time grace that is coming upon us that is going to be more powerful than what the devil is putting on the world. You’re going to shine like light. So, remember this, the kingdom of heaven is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. Challenge for us is the righteousness and the peace and the joy is in the Holy Spirit. So, you have to have more of the Holy Spirit in you. Well, the first born is what I’m talking about now. The first born is the doctrine of the devil portion and here’s what we’ve been doing these in this series.

We’re looking at the writer in Hebrews it says in the exhortation to the first century church in chapter 12 verse 16. “Beware New Testament believer, lest you be like Esau who sold his birthright”. And when he wanted to get the blessing, he was denied it. The birthright is given to the firstborn. The firstborn has the right too. The birth right and what is the birthright give him?Gives him a double portion of the father’s inheritance. So, when the father passes away and the inheritance is broken out, the firstborn gets twice as much. Well, why is the first born given twice as much you might say? Because he’s responsible for mom and for all the other kids. He got to buy a house, got to start a business, got to take care of mom. So, he’s considered to be the most responsible so he has the budget. The rest of them get the 1/3rd that’s left get distributed to whoever the other kids are. So, the first born isn’t just getting more and saying, see you later. He’s actually responsible. So, the doctrine of the firstborn says, the double portion goes to that part of the church that retains its birthright. You can lose it. How do I know that? Because the writer says, don’t be like Esau who sold his birthright and forfeited access to that double portion. Crazy thinking.

Now, I believe the end time outpouring is going to bless everybody. Like I said last week, if a little teacup, you’re going to get a teacup. You got to thimble, you got to thimble. The rain is going to pour out. The former rain and the latter rain in the first week, you got to see God pour out his spirit but if you got a bathtub, you’re going to get an awful lot more. You remember when Elijah was trying to pay off the debt of this widow woman. He said, get all the vessels you got and pour the oil into the vessels. But go to your neighbor’s house and get as many vessels as they got and borrow them. Because there’s going to be an outpouring but it’s only going to be the quantity is going to be determined by the amount of available space there is for it to be poured into. The principle is God won’t give you more money than you God.

I mean the devil will but God won’t give you more money than you can responsibly handle. Godwon’t give you more authority than you can responsibly utilize. God won’t give you more anointing than you can handle with character. So, if you want more you have to create a bigger vessel. What I’m trying to say is that this writer in Hebrews is talking about the general assembly and church of the first born. God will have an end time first born church that will be able to walk in the double portion, and I think be able to exercise responsibility with the rest of the body of Christ with the family. And this is coming at a time when there’s great shaking when heaven and earth is going to shake right there. It’s the shaking chapter in Hebrews. We’re living in it right now. But this double portion excites me. Because I think it’s beginning to rain, rain, rain. Hear the voice of our father. And he’s saying whosoever will. I’m coming to pour my spirit out. I got my piano right here. I should probably play it.

One of the ways that you stay filled with the spirit as you sing. Being filled, we sing. It’s one of the secret weapons of the Believer’s Edge. Alright, so I want to talk to you about the double portion or the birthright blessing of a firstborn because I want you to have that reward. And if we went over to my board over there, you guys can flip over to the board. I’m not going to take a trip over there, but you’ll see the different blessings of the firstborn. The first thing is the ministry of the priesthood. The second one is the role of kingship. The third is the prophetic spirit. The fourth is the double portion ministry and the fifth one is going to be the deliverance anointing to bruise the serpent’s head. Five, really cool and I’ll show you where they are in the Bible. We’re going to start. Very first one, I want you to go to remember this, the whole church is called to do this. It’s the church of the firstborn, but not everybody keeps their birthright and it could be like Esau and sell it. How do you sell it? You don’t value it. You live carnal. You don’t know if you believe in God. You don’t believe God that much. You’re not walking with God. If you’re living like Esau for the flesh, you’re going to forfeit the birthright and the outpouring is only going to be able to give you a sprinkling instead of a deluge.

Alright, so let’s cover this right now. I want you to go take a look at Jacob lays hands. I’ll prophesies over his twelve sons and he starts prophesying over them, what their inheritance is.And the first one which is Simeon and Reuben, the first one out, didn’t get it? You’ll find something out. It’s a weird thing. Saul was chosen by God and failed so God raised up David. Oh, everybody loves David. Everybody thinks that God loved David more than Saul. No, Godactually preferred Saul. He chose him first. Saul blew it. So, the firstborn anointing for Israel went to David. Esau was the first one out of the womb. He had the birthright. He sold it. Jacob wanted it, grabbed it, took it. He got it. He was not the first born, he was the second born. Over and over again in the Bible the stories there were the first born of Jacob, Simeon and Reuben.Neither of them got the blessing of the first born. They should have, but the Bible says I would have given it to you but thou you but you didn’t get it you are my excellency and strength but you are unstable. He literally Jacob prophesies, he didn’t get it because of your instability. Y’all read that Bible folks. Fascinating document.

Cain, Ham, Ishmael, Esau, and Reuben show that the firstborn after the flesh has to give up the birthright to the firstborn after the spirit. Seth and Noah, Shem, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Judah, Joseph, Ephraim, they’re the first born after the spirit. They weren’t the first one out of the womb but they were the first one to qualify because the other one sold their birthrights. This is wild teaching folks. First of all, I want to talk about the ministry of the priesthood. Numbers chapter 3. Go to Numbers chapter 3. You got a Bible there. If you do, you got the book of Numbers right there in the front of your Bible. Go to Numbers chapter 3 verse 40. I want to show you something kind of curious. God has this Levi who is one of Jacob’s children.

Numbers chapter 3 verse 40. Look what it says here. These mysteries are hidden in the Bible for us. It says, “Here Lord said to Moses, number all the firstborn of the males of the children of Israel from a month and old upward and take the number by the names”. God is asking for the firstborn. “Thou shalt take the Levites for me. Take that tribe of Levi. Instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel and the cattle, the Levites of all the firstlings among the cattle of the children of Israel. And Moses numbered as the Lord commanded all the firstborn among the children of Israel. And all the firstborn males by the number of names from a month old and upward of those who were numbered of them were twenty and two thousand two hundred and three score and thirteen. And the Lord says to Moses, take the Levites as a tribe instead of all the firstborn from among the children of Israel”.

This is fascinating. Here’s what God said. The firstborn of all the tribes. Number them. I need to know who they are and then he said, alright, we got that settled. One tribe is going to be set apart as my firstborn tribe. Make it Levi. The Levites were the priest. By the way, That’s my tribe. That’s my children’s inheritance. My brothers are both professors. I’m a teacher. My family has a teaching anointing. We’re rabbis. They can make a good living coaching, consulting, speaking, being subject matter experts. But if they’re called in the ministry, as I believe they are, then it’s a teacher gift. Revelation gift. To lead others by revelation. Revelation is a great power gift.

Now, the teaching Levite tribe was the priesthood. God gave them the words, gave them the revelation, they taught it and explained to other people but you see, God says they should be the firstborn. So, why am I saying to you on my board over here? The ministry of the priesthood of the teaching of revelation is given to the double portion firstborn. I’m talking about you that are the contending for the firstborn anointing or the double portion of God‘s spirit. It comes with the ministry of priesthood. Let’s take a look at, so the next one because I don’t have time to go into all of this. The rule of kingship. The next anointing of the firstborn is the rule of kingship. Priesthood was given to Levi, but look at Genesis chapter 49. When Jacob gets to his son Judah, he says something interesting.

Chapter 49 verse 8. “Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise. Thy hand shall be on the neck of all thine enemies. Thy father’s hand shall bow down. My father’s children shall bow down before thee”. This is a ruler’s anointing. “Judah is a lion’s whelp from the prey my son thou art gone up. He stooped down. He crouched as a lion as an old lion. Who will rouse him? The scepter shall not depart from Judah”. What’s a scepter? The scepter is what is in the hands of a king. God‘s prophesying right here. Judah will be the tribe out of which kings come and all the kings in the Bible came out of the tribe of Judah. They weren’t all good kings. “The scepter shall not depart from Judah nor a law giver from between his feet until Shiloh comes, until Jesus comes unto him should the gathering of the people be”.

But what I want you to see here is that the blessing that was given to Judah was the blessing of kingdom rule and government. The scepter speaks of rulership headship law giving belong to the tribe of Judah. The kings were promised to Abraham, kings were supposed to come of Abraham,says in Genesis 17:6. I’m going to give kings to you and Sarah, nations and kings are going to come from your Lords. It was God‘s will for Israel to be able to have kings. Eventually, the right kings. “For Judah prevailed above his brethren and out of him came the chief ruler”. Take a look at first Chronicles chapter 5. I know some of you guys have never been in these books before. I know I haven’t been there in a long time myself. That’s why we’re doing a deep die. We’re not going over see spot run today. We’re going over some deep stuff. First Chronicles chapter 5 verse 1 & 2. Bet you haven’t been to that verse in a while. “Now the sons of Reuben, the firstborn of Israel for he was the first born before as much as he defiled his father’s bed as birthright was given to the sons of Joseph”.

Oh, Little history here, a little tabloid story, little national inquirer here. What’s he saying? Reuben was born first. Reuben and Simeon, they were born first but Reuben evidently was sleeping around with his dad’s concubines and he defiled his bed therefore his immorality cost him the birthright. It’s a cool story here in the Old Testament, and so it went over to Joseph’s sons. Now, what about Judah, how come he got the scepter of rulership? Well, “For Judah prevailed above his brethren and of him came the chief ruler, but the birthright was Joseph’s”. So, now we find out that oh Judah’s going to have kings. The scepter should not depart from Judah. He has a special blessing of kingdom authority. Jesus will come out of the line of Judah,but Joseph is going to have the blessing of the firstborn. He’s going to have the birthright. The birthright blessing goes Joseph. This is kind of fascinating.

So, what we’re finding out is that the kings, kingly anointing of Judah, the priestly anointing of Levi. They’re both in the firstborn. You know why? Because Jesus combined the two. You know, in the Old Testament, you could die. If you were a priest and you want to become a king and you try to do that, nobody even tried it. But there were kings that tried to step into the office of a priest. I think it was Uzziah who went in and said, let me offer a sacrifice to the Lord and Godstruck him with leprosy. He said, whoa, you got the kingly anointing. I didn’t give you the priestly anointing. But notice the first born with a double portion operate in both king and priest. Jesus released that. Jesus was According to the order of Melchizedek. So, the Bible says he comes out of a different origin. Melchizedek was a king who’s also a priest. Jesus comes out of that merger. Different kind of an octane.

And so, the church the firstborn. I know I might be losing you here but just stick with me. Has the priestly anointing like Levi has the kingly authority of Judah has a kingly priestly anointing?And when you put that together thing missing is the prophet but I got news for you. The prophetic spirit is the third. You see, this company with the double portion will have the intimacy with God of the priesthood. It will have the authority in the natural to administrate and establish God‘s will and the kingly anointing but they don’t have the prophetic authority, the prophetic insight and ability of the priestly anointing. Why do I know that? Because all the first born in the Bible that got that all exercised a prophet’s gift. You have to assume must be prophetic also because Abel had it, Enoch had it, Noah had it, Abraham had it, Isaac had it, Jacob had it. It’s significant to know that each of the firstborn in the eyes of God who you were given portion to the birthright, all had a prophetic spirit upon them. And Abraham, in fact, is the first person called the prophet in the Bible. God‘s first born.

So, those who are despising prophecy and there are people that do despise it. Where’s my red button here? I used to have a red button here. Here it goes. Not going to get the firstborn double portion. Why? You can’t despise prophecy so that you do not despise prophecy. Says in Joel, “I’m going to pour out my spirit upon all flesh. Your sons and daughters will prophesy your old men’s dream, dreams, young men will have visions”. Visions, dreams, prophecy. You have to be dense not to see. The double portion people that receive the firstborn blessing will be prophetic. They will have the kingly Judah authority. They’re going to also operate in that priestly anointing. They’re going to have both of those going. The double portion is going to be a double portion of all that the father has. Deuteronomy chapter 21 verse 15-17. 2/3rds of the inheritance went to the firstborn to administrate and protect and provide for the rest of the family.

So, Joseph, you see, received a double portion of the birthright and he really got that through his sons. Don’t enough time to go into it in great depth here. We’ve only got 6 minutes but Genesis 48. Might as well look at it. Kind of interesting chapter. Here, he has two sons named Ephraim and Manasseh and it says in chapter 48 verse 12, “Joseph brought them out from between his knees and he bowed himself and he went to his father. And Joseph took both Ephraim in his right hand toward Israel’s left hand and Manasseh in his left hand towards Israel’s right hand”. So, he’s got his boy’s position and the father switches his hands up and Joseph said no, no, no, dad you got it backwards. This one’s first born, that was second born. God says no, no, no, I know what I’m doing. See, he said we got the cables crossed on purpose, because in this case he said, “The younger one is going to be getting that blessing. Israel stretched out his right hand and laid on Ephraim’s head who was younger and his left hand on Manasseh, and he guided his hands on purpose and wittingly. And he blessed Joseph”. And he and he basically gave to him the release of the double portion coming to him even in his children.

We’re talking about how the gifts of the spirit, how the supernatural, the prophetic, the kingly, the priest, how these anointings actually work. And if you’re called in the marketplace, who said you’re not supposed to be a royal priesthood operating in supernatural and authority in the marketplace. Bible doesn’t tell you that. It’s the reason why Christians don’t do anything out there because they think they’re only good in church. They’re only good on mission trips. Get your “Divine Appointment”. So, Joseph was given according to God in Genesis 48 verses 12-22. We won’t go there now. He said, “I’m going to give you a portion above your brethren”. Poor Joseph, he’s a prophet that had to go into Egypt to prepare a way for his brothers. He had to suffer so that he can make a path for them. But then we find out this double portion is prophetic thing is really obvious that the prophetic is related to the double portion, because Elisha asks Elijah for a double portion of your spirit may be upon me. You see that in second Kings chapter 2 verse 9. And so, he got that double portion. He did twice as many miracles as Elijah did. But what’s interesting is that, do you remember in Exodus where the children of Israel had manna coming down out of heaven?This is during a treasure hunt now. All these cool revelations in the Bible go, what more do we know but the double portion anointing is going to be coming upon the church of the first born who don’t sell their birthright. Remember, I told you how to live Is the teaching priesthood of Revelation and that’s part of the firstborn blessing. Revelation?

Well, look at this. It says this in chapter 16 that, “The Lord had the manna that was coming down out of heaven”. And that the Lord actually gave a double portion on Saturday, “Because I will reign bread from heaven for you. It says in verse four. And the people shall go and gather a certain rate every day that I may prove them. And it shall come to pass on the 6th day they shall prepare that which they bring in; and it shall be twice as much manna on the 6th day”. Dude, Bible says that, Enoch. What was he? The 7th from Adam? At the end of the 6th day, it’s a double portion of God‘s manna. What is manna referred to? Man should not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. It’s a double portion of the revelation of the word of God. That’s why I’m pouring it out to you right now.

Double portion of manna on the 6th day, the last day, 6th day, 2000 years from Adam, what was it to Moses to Abraham. 2,000 years from Abraham to Jesus. 2000 from Jesus to you. We’re at the 6th day, double portion, outpouring, double manna. Double prophetic. Ultimately, it’s the church, the bride of Christ is the church of the firstborn. “The church in Christ are his inheritance. Christ and his church are the only ones that can cast out devils. Heal the sick and reconcile the world”.And I promise you, that’s part of the double portion anointing. Well, we’ve done quite a journey here and I believe that there’s a lot we got to take a look at in that teaching. But if you’ll go through and listen to it again, you’re going to see that these different anointings the prophetic the double portion of manna, the bruising of the serpent said, the rule of kingship, the ministry of priesthood that I talked about I’m reading it off my board over there. All of that is yours, because God has called you to be the church of the first born. “Do not sell your birthright, but see the reward”. And I’ll see you again next week.
