End Time Jesus: Warrior or Lover?

Lance: Alright, here’s the deal. We’re in living in a very interesting period of time and I think that the evening hours are the most productive time because it’s the last there’s the least traffic. I remember getting a prophecy once. I mean, mental traffic, spirit traffic. I got a prophecy once from Chuck Pierce that was going to be like that, I would have the third watch anointing or something like that. But there’s these watches, and there’s a watch that goes from 11 o’clock till 2 AM and the midnight one till three. I remember when Jesus was like, he told the disciples to go cross the Sea of Galilee and it was like on the and in the fourth watch, he was walking on the water. It’s like the three to 6 AM watch. So, there are people that are up at times like this because you’re spiritually alive. So, I’m going to talk to you like you’re supposed to be up right now watching this. 

Now, here’s a verse that is not normally appreciated in the Bible. Want you to go to Matthew chapter 3 with me, because what we’re going to look at is prophetic times zones. You could be in the West Coast, you could be in Central Time, you could be in East Time. You ever missed a call because you’re in the wrong time zone? Well, you could be in the wrong time zone prophetically which means something that you’re expecting God to do immediately isn’t actually going to be done tile later and you’re going to have to hold your faith out for a little bit longer period of time. Great prophets in the Bible have sometimes messed up the time zone and it’s a kind of an encouragement to you. John the Baptist is probably the arguably according to Jesus, the greatest of the prophets and he had this problem. He saw end time Jesus and confused him with first century Jesus.

Jesus shows up as the lamb of God to take away the sins of the world. He prophesies it but then he expects the lion ministry. He wants Jesus to be kicking button and cleaning the floors of this enemy and starting fires. Listen to what John the Baptist says about the end time Jesus that he was looking for immediately. He says, look verse 7, “You brood of vipers who warned you to flee from the wrath to come”. He’s upset with the Sadducees and Pharisees. He says in verse 10,“Even now the axes laid to the root of the trees”. Right now, it’s decision time. “And therefore,every tree that doesn’t bring forth good fruit is cut down and thrown in the fire”. It’s time for the final reckoning. This is what John’s teaching. “I’m baptizing you right now with water and it’s under repentance, but he’s after me and he’s mightier than I whose sandals. I am not even worthy to carry. I’m telling you; he’s going to baptize you with the holy spirit and with fire”. “His windowing fork is in his hand”. That’s the fork that’s going to toss everything up in the air. “He’s going to toss things up. He’s going to shake things up and then he’s going to thoroughly clean his threshing floor. He’s going to gather the wheat, the righteous into his barn. But he’s going to burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire”.

This put the fear of God in people and an expectation Somebody’s coming. Somebody’s coming and then when Jesus came, John said, that’s it and I honestly think when he went to prison and he was about to be beheaded, that he was perplexed because he might have thought that Jesus’s ministry was going to overtake his imprisonment. He might have figured that why would I die? I’m lucky. I was here right when the Messiah came. Surely, when the Messiah is here doing this, I’m ready to go. He goes to prison and then realizes Jesus isn’t doing anything. It’s inclined to help him out. As a matter of fact, Jesus doing the opposite. Jesus, he’s sharing happy reports. Oh, this person’s got their sight back. This person can hear. This person was lame. Now, they can walk. This person was afflicted, had tormenting spirits, huh? And he’s thinking, oh I’m happy for you but this is hardly the overturning of the world order, I thought. Are you the one who’s to come? John says, sends a messenger? Ask him, are you the one that’s to come or am I supposed to look for someone else?

And Jesus said, “Don’t be offended. Send him a message. Don’t be offended because I’m not doing what you expected”. What am I talking about? I’m talking about John had a revelation. I’m going to go over now to my inspired board. By the way, this is a miniature version of what I do at Daystar. They got me excited when they got this brand-new space age, huge whiteboard Big Board, Big Revelation. Okay, we’re going to walk over here now. And I want to show you the matter of fact I’ll go on this side over here. Want to show you here’s John the Baptist over here and he is obviously operating in the prophetic. He sees the future. He is not missing something.He sees in three dimensions the prophets can see. The prophet is looking. He could see into the past what God has done and show you prophetically what the Lord has been up to. He could see into the present. What was happening in Israel at the time of his ministry and he could see into the future. The problem was in the past prophecies that deal with for instance, Moses was able to write the first five books of the Bible. He saw in the beginning; God created the heavens and the earth. He wasn’t around when God created the heavens and the earth but the prophet Moses could see what happened in the past because God showed him. Jeremiah likewise could prophesy when the world was and he talked about what happened in the past. So, the prophet can see in the three dimensions.

Now, when you see the prophet prophesying about Jesus, he thinks he’s talking about Jesus with his fire ministry and his winnowing fork, he’s going to winnow and with that fork which means he’s going to separate the wheat from the chaff. He’s going to judge. He’s coming to judge what’s happening. He’s studying the house in order, but what happens is? Instead of that happening, Jesus shows up as the lamb of God and he’s to take away the sins of the world. This was not John’s; it was done on John’s radar. But did John miss it? John didn’t miss it. What John saw? Change my color. Isn’t this a really cool? I just love this board. What John was actually looking at was end time Jesus. End time Jesus is the Jesus who’s coming back in the latter end of history. He’s coming back now actually. So, here he is. He’s looking at future Jesus and confused because Jesus was supposed to show up that way then. All the Jews were confused. They’re looking for their, here’s the weird thing. They’re looking for their warrior Alexander the great. They’re looking for the ruler to come with a crown. They’re looking someone with a sword and what shows up is a servant with a towel. Baffled them. Fake them up, fake the devil out.

Satan didn’t know what was happening. He had no idea that Jesus was going to shed his blood to break the spiritual control of darkness over the earth and then he was going to come back-endtime Jesus and take over the world system with a sharp sword proceeding out of his mouth,wearing a crown of many crowns with a vestment dipped in blood, coming back to now do what? With fire to judge with a windowing fork and set the house in order. Here’s our problem. They were looking for the lamb, the lion, right? And God sent a lamb. Who are we looking for? We’re looking for the lamb and God is sending a lion. I hope you caught what I just said.

We’re looking, the big problem I always have with Christians nowadays is they have no idea well should a Christian be involved with government should a Christian be. How do we handle these evil things? How do we handle when they’re pushing their stuff on us? Christians are confused.They don’t understand the end time Jesus is a Jesus that’s a warrior. He’s not coming back as the lover. Oh, I know that we’re all in our worship mood we’re all about Jesus the lover we’re always obsessed with that. ut what you got to realize is he’s coming back for a bride but the bride itself is terrible as an army with banners. What a strange metaphor. I don’t think of a bride in combat boots but that’s what the Bible describes as his end-time bride is terrible, terrifying, awesome as an army coming out in multitudes in battle array. It’s interesting that the spirit of the bride say,come in the Book of Revelation. How does Jesus arriving?

The spirit and the bride is a yearning. There’s a romance that’s going on but how is the Lordarriving? He’s arriving on a white horse with the army of heaven, armies. Not so far blowing worship leaders. End time Jesus when he shows up isn’t coming up as a therapist to heal. Isn’t coming as the great cosmic hugger to ease the pain. He’s coming to execute judgement. So, let’s take a look at second Thessalonians. You got your Bible? Listen. If you’re going to be up late at night you might as well have a good time. Anyway, in chapter 1 of second Thessalonians verse8. The apostle Paul says, “Hey, the Lord is coming back with flaming fire with mighty angels,taking vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ”. I was listening to one preacher. He said, ‘Did you hear Trump’s message at the RNC? Did you hear what he said? He said, he was going to come back to with vengeance upon those who were destroying America.’ That’s hardly the disposition of a Christian. I thought, there you go. There’s our problem.

Yes, “Jesus is coming back with flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know Godand on those who do not obey, the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ”. Notice it doesn’t say, he’s going to be taking vengeance on those that don’t know Jesus. It says, those who don’t obey It’s don’t know God and don’t obey. What happens if you know God and you don’t obey? Well, I don’t know I would just assume suggest that you better obey. Because he’s coming back to deal with those that don’t obey. “These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his power”. When is that going to happen? When he comes back. “And in that day, he’s going to be glorified in his saints. He’s going to be admired”. This Jesus is admirable. I think the image of Jesus you’ve got if it’s always the soft, meek, and mild Jesus, harassed and beaten down the streets of Jerusalem.

You’re missing the fact that he took that place because that’s what we deserve, not who he is, not what he deserves, nothing to do with him. He identified with us and we deserve to be weak and despised and beaten and he took that role first so that you don’t have to identify with the victim mentality. Jesus rose up out of that grave and basically now that when he comes back, I didn’t even finish what he says. Listen, what it says here. It says, “He come to be glorified in his saints and admired by all those who believe as our testimony was believed among you”. And what does it say about the antichrist and how’s he going to deal with the devil? Well, basically, it says that he is going to destroy him with the brightness of his coming. He’s going to be destroyed. Jesus out to destroy the works of the devil.

Alright, I made that point. End time Jesus is not coming back as the advocate for your salvation. He’s coming back as the judge returning to the courtroom. And you want to break every spirit off of you that is trying to control you. Do not tolerate any of the devils, any of the compromises, any of the sins. No such thing as a little sin. You got to deal with it all so that you can know this end time Jesus anointing. That’s the reason why I’ve been really strong about praying in the Holy Spirit. I’ve got this breaking controlling spirits. There’s something about when you pray in the Holy Ghost. Praying in the Language of Heaven that releases something in your spirit. There’s something about knowing how the enemy is at work. I got this Leviathan teaching I had years ago because I realized that it’s so funny. Because one of the things, I say on the album is if you’re struggling with insomnia and mental focus you need to get this series of Leviathan. If you’re struggling with insomnia, you need this Leviathan. You’ll never watch me again once you deal with that insomnia. But if you ever feel there’s an atmosphere of accusation. Have you ever walked into a room and you feel like the atmosphere is chill like they’ve been talking about you? Everybody’s kind of like awkward. I’ve had it happen. I’ve walked into rooms where I know they were talking about me. You could feel it.

Well, I would suggest to you that there are spirits at work and Leviathan is a spirit that turns people against you. Twist communication. Psalm 56 verse 5 says, “All day long they twist my words. They spend their days plotting to harm me”. They twist the meaning of what I say. They torture out of context everything I’m doing. That’s a Leviathan spirit. I believe Leviathan causes divorces. I believe Leviathan causes breaches between parents and children in the relationship. I believe Leviathan works between bosses and employees and between partnerships. I believe if you don’t know how to break controlling spirits off of you and discern Leviathan, you’re in big trouble. I’m encouraging you to help me deal with this media Leviathan spirit that is out there working to twist and misrepresent the truth of what’s happening in America every day. What’s really happening in the political arena and how Trump is constantly having everything he does tortured out of context is a shocking thing that Leviathan can be beaten and these controlling spirits can be broken. So, I’m asking the Lord about in time Jesus and I’m saying, Lord, it looks to me like you’re coming back in strength, that you might even be behind a lot of the shaking that’s going on in the world right now. That you’re a warrior. You are a warrior and that you’re going to war. And I’m looking up some teaching on nations in the last days, because I don’t give in to the idea that you have to give up every nation. I believe that Jesus was promised nations for his inheritance. I know there’s a lot of theologians that will try to torture my words right now and say, no, he knows the promise to the nations. Why not? Why can’t Jesus have nations for his inheritance? When he says, “Go make disciples of nations”. Well, ‘Brother Lance, doesn’t mean nations, he means people groups.’ Alright. Well, when you get the people groups in France saved, you got France. Nations, my friend. “Go make disciples of nations”.

So, I’m looking up nations and I’m saying, when Jesus says, when he returns, the son of man returns on his glorious throne. Not his therapy couch, his throne. He’s going to gather all the nations before him. He’s going to separate them as a shepherd. Separate sheep and goat, sheep on his right, goat to the left, sheep, sheep, sheep, goat, goat going to take that step, but you’re over there, you’re, you’re over there, you’re there, you’re there. Boom. Clearly, delineates. Who’s in what group? And then Jesus said he’s going to proceed to give them an analysis of his judgement. As much as you’ve done to the least of these my brethren you did it to me. When you persecuted them when you deprived them when you locked them up when you starred them. You were persecuting me not them. And now you’re going to answer to me for what you did to them. This is end time Jesus. And so, I’m saying, well, Lord is there anything about these nations that are nations are having this experience.

Sheep and goat nations. Is there anything on this in the Bible? I go and I run into a writer curious enough who is from the 1930s and this intrigues me. Because the writer from the 1930s is saying, no doubt you’re observing the rise of Mussolini in Italy. You’re observing the rise of Hitler in Germany of Stalin in Russia and you’re saying as I am saying, oh Lord is this end? Is the antichrist perhaps one of them? And he said, but I really believe the spirit of God has comforted me to say the end is not yet. Now, this is a rare cat. Almost all of us are always reading in time into our time. Here’s a man that had the discipline as a theologian to say, I do not see the condition met yet for the Antichrist to rise. Because the church has not risen up in global power, because the church hasn’t demonstrated itself in its end time double portion outpouring.

The issue with Germany and the issue with Stalin and the issue with Mussolini is political, governmental, and economic. The issue in the last days will be the church. The church has to be dealt with and the church is not the problem right now. We’re kind of getting bounced around in the middle of these political events and then he to Psalm 2 and says, consider Psalm 2 as my proof. “Why do the nations rage and the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves and the rulers take counsel together against the Lord and against his anointed”. Oh, he’s saying the anointed is the body of Christ and the Lord is the Lord Jesus.

Why does he say that? Because he says, notice, it doesn’t say let us break his bands in pieces. Let us cast away his cords from us because it’s not focusing on just the Messiah. It’s let us break their corporate bonds. Let us break their cords from us. He says, the church will be such a frustration to the communist, globalist, nationalist, enemies of the kingdom in the last days. It will be such a hindering force on the agenda of hell in the nations that the kings will have to meet together to say we’ve got to break this thing off of us. You see that?

It’s just a perspective, let us break their bins and this writer said, certainly Psalm 2 deals with Jesus. We know that it does deal with Jesus, because the apostles quoted in Acts chapter 4 and they say, “Did not Herod and Pontius Pilate and the Jews and the Gentiles all come together as it is written that the rulers take counsel together against the Lord”. So, they applied the verse to Jesus. But you know there’s much evidence in the Bible of a verse having more than one application in one more than one season at a time. And the fact that it’s plural in verse three for breaking bonds makes you think. The church is the issue here in Psalm 2. “And he who sits in the heaven shall laugh the Lord shall hold them in derision. He shall speak to them in his wrath and distress them in his deep displeasure”. He says, “I’ve set my king upon my holy hill. I will declare the decree the Lord has said to me you are my son”.

Now Jesus is talking, if you ever want to see the beauty of the bible break it up properly. In verse 7 Psalm 2 Jesus is saying, “I’ll declare decree the Lord said to me. You are my son. Today, I have begotten you. Today, I brought you up from the dead”. Jesus was the first born of many brethren he was the first if you will bear again out of the dead resurrected new species merging God and man in a new form. When he came down, he came down as God in a mortal body. But when he picked up his body he came up out of the tomb as God fused with man in a resurrection body. Which is why the first revelation Jesus somebody comes out of the tomb. It’s so interesting that I never heard preached is, “Tell my disciples I’m going to my father and your father to my God and your God”. He was so aware he had joined man into the God head, so close we couldn’t be anymore entwined in the God head itself. God became a man so that man could become like God in the sun. You couldn’t get any closer than the body of the Messiah.

This is a wild revelation people. “I declare the decree. You are my son. Today, I’ve begotten you”. Then the father says something to Jesus. “Ask of me and I will give you the nations for your inheritance and the ends of the earth for your possession”. Ask of me, I’m going to give you the nations. This is so wild. Jesus is saying that the father brought him up this day out of the dead and out of the grave and remember Jesus said, “Father into thy hands, I commit my spirit”. Jesus had to die like you. He did have the power to pull himself up out of the grave. He was identifying with you and your death. You don’t have power to pull yourself out of the grave. The Father has to pull you out. Jesus would be still down there and the Father not brought him out on the third day. He trusted the father just like you have to trust the father.

And the father says, my boy, you’ve done it. The treasure that was buried in the field you purchased with your blood but now ask for the field. Jesus never asked for the nations. His beautiful prayer in John 17, Father I pray, not for the world not for world kingdoms not for world power but for those who you gave me for all mine are thine and thine are mine and I am glorified in them father not pray for the world I pray for them that they may be with me where I am going.The father said, you died for the bride, for the treasure, for the redeemed, not for world power, not for governments, not for nations. However, since you fully obeyed me, now you’ve purchased the field with your blood and you bought the field to get the treasure, the field belongs to you, the field is the world. Ask and I’ll give you the nations for your inheritance, my son. Not just the redeemed but I believe the nation’s, son belong to you also.

So, when Jesus comes out of the grave what does he start to teach for 40 days. He starts to teach the disciples go into all the world and make disciples of nations. Go into all the world preach the gospel, but then there’s inheritance of nations. And by the way what it says here is kind of wild.It says here verse 9, end time Jesus is being talked to by the father, the father says, ‘Son, you’ll break them with a rod of iron. You’ll dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel”. What in the world? Well, if you read Revelation chapter two verses 26 to 28, you’ll see that Jesus is going to have a sharp sword. He’s going to have a rod come out of his mouth. He’s going to break every rebellious vessel government in the earth. Smash all the rebellious governments. “You’ll break them with a rod of iron. You’ll dash into pieces like a potter’s vessel”. And he’s going to judge all militating powers in the demonic realm and on earth that are resisting. That’s what the shaking is a lot about.

“Now, therefore, be wise oh kings and be instructed you judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the son, lest he be angry and you perish in the way. When his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are those who put their trust in Him”. See, the wrath of God is the outpouring of the last three and a half years of tribulation. Now, I don’t want to get into a long debate about that now because we only got one minute left. But you’re not destined for the wrath of God, but the world’s going to experience the kindled wrath of God and the advice of the Holy Spirit is, you ought to reconcile with Jesus. You ought to kiss the son. You ought to change your attitude about him because he’s the one who has power to judge. So, be wise kings. Be wise rulers.

What I’m trying to tell you is end time Jesus is coming for a glorious church and if you have this disposition, it doesn’t make you, it does give you a revelation that he is a ruler. He is a king. He is a judge and he’s coming back to set the house in order. The revelation John the Baptist had isabsolutely extraordinary for the end time Jesus. And as they were looking for a lion and got thrown off by a lamb, make sure the lion is showing up right now and you’re not expecting a lamb. Because God wants you to roar against your circumstance, roar against weakness, roar against fear. He doesn’t want you who are the heirs of nations to have no hope for nations. And in the name of Jesus, I believe he wants to see nations change and I think there’s going to be nations that are going to change. But it starts with faith, doesn’t it? Starts with believing, and I’m God right now that revival is coming into your life. I pray for revival to come into your spirit right now so that you’ll begin to see yourself differently and you’re going to have a different kind of life. You want to go to “Lancewallnau.com/Podcast’.
