Lance: The whole Bible story is a story about a garden. A man was put in a garden and he was told to protect the garden and then he got cast out of the garden and it’s interesting to me that there was actually a walled off territory called Eden, because there was an angel set at the entrance. When you go to the end of history, you see Jesus in the Garden, the Garden of Gethsemane and that’s where we’re going to be focusing on today. The Garden Tomb where they’re trying to discover where is the tomb out of which Jesus historically rose. We know that this is all the garden narrative literally and, in the Bible, it says that the world in the future is going to be remade and the future world is without oceans but with gardens and ponds. Gardens is like central to the vision God has not only for the past, but the future. That’s one of the reasons why every day I’m coming to the office. I see a visual reminder that God in nature is talking to us and that in many ways, we’re going back there to the garden in our own lives.
We’re growing food, we’re curating our own food. We’re actually eating the food that we grow ourselves with our own technology. I want you all to take a look at the Lettuce Grow phenomena because in our own office, we have like 5 or 6 different kinds of leafy vegetation. Each of those levels you’re looking at if you can see the podcast, you guys can’t see it. We’ve got 1, 2, 3, 4, 5different levels of green, lively vegetarian is growing off of our Lettuce Grow tower that we have and we just put it in the office and then we put it out in the back porch because this way your food is growing without pesticides, without chemicals, without the weird stuff that big tech, our big pharma and big agriculture is doing to manipulate, mess up the food you’re eating. I want you to go to Lettuce Grow. Go to “Lancewallnau.com/Garden” and check out the Lettuce Grow powerful products. “Lancewallnau.com/Garden”. You’re going to love it. We’re using it ourselves and stay on for a really cool show.
Welcome back ladies and gentlemen to the Lance Wallnau Show and we’re discussing today the nefarious influences that are shaping the world around us and understanding exactly how to counter them. We’re coming into Easter season here which is going to be a really interesting juxtaposition, because if there was ever a story of hope it’s that Easter scenario. I’m going to be sharing something with you today that’s going to be really inspiring to you on that, but I did say in the last segment that I have this artwork I want you to know about and it’s actually a combination package. It’s a tyrannosaurus Rex and I had this tyrannosaurus and then I put a rubber band around it and put George Soros, because I realized George Soros is like a tyrannosaurus that is going through the American institutions gobbling up families. They got these a funder of the breaking apart for what do they call the nuclear family of men and women. What could be more dangerous than men that love their wives and wives that love their husbands like the Garden of Eden.
God puts men and women together. Soros says, oh, we’ll destroy it and so he funds Black Lives Matter at first to come against the nuclear family to break up the family and then to promote Marxism and then racial hatred of gender. This is largely funded by Georgia Soros riding on his tyrannosaurus. But he doesn’t stop there. When I heard about La Rosa, these organizations that are involved with fighting America’s borders. We never had the problem solved. It’s so stupid that you hear about in the news. Meanwhile, another million people came over the border. Fentanyl’s coming over the border. Drug cartels and human trafficking. And the government is like they can’t do anything about it. Man, we had January 6th we’re all suspicious about what happened there. We can’t see the footage. We can’t interview Christopher Ray. We can’t get the story about the FBI’s involvement. We can’t even get a to get up there and give an explanation, but they still have like 200 people locked up deprived them of their constitutional rights. Got them locked up in the bowels of the belly of the beast in prison without due process. Nobody says a thing.
You wonder why America’s the way it is, look at all the Soros funded Das. The LA guys a clown, they’re trying to get rid of them. The New York and these are all political, you can’t get into office in the Democratic Party unless you kiss the ring of Soros. He’s like Moriarty in a Shark Holmes episode. He is the Napoleon of Crime and he’s old. He won’t be around long. But he’s got unfortunately he’s got a son now who’s trained to take his place. So, Soros isn’t going away. And somehow in the great economy of God. These people do live. They live in the and they’re allowed to do what they do. And it’s a mystery to me. It’s called the mystery of lawlessness is what Paul calls it. Because in the meantime you see good people that aren’t here long and then you see some people that are just destructive that kind of got that for some reason go on forever.
What’s the explanation for this? Well, God there’s a theory on this. The theory is the Hebrew version of scripture. It says that God has given man a certain period of time. We’re really looking at a recorded period of time of 6,000 years or so of 6,000+ years of recorded history. That is that when we begin to find the hieroglyphics and the literature and the languages etcetera. And within this period of relatively recent history, you see civilized man the story the arc of civilization beginning with the Egyptians going on to the Babylonian Empire and then going into Greece and then Medes and the Persians before the Greek and then the Romans and then the Bible goes into even reaching into the future talking about chat GPT for all I know. Because it’s talking about this this era of time where technology will control everyone by marking Everyone with a digital capacity to surveil you to the extent that you can’t buy or sell unless you have the insignia or the mark of what’s called the beast.
So, I look at the Bible and say, God has allowed time to exist as in a sense looking back on it from eternity. Time is a brief period when history proves a lot of propositions about the nature of God, the nature of man, the nature of right and wrong and evil and truth and falsehood. And in a sense, I think that Earth becomes a university for the ages to come to look at the consequence of the lessons learned. And there is a kind of a curious moral government within the universe. There’s a way in which things end up being worked out in history and one of those things is that all life is finite and that what really matters are those things that are eternal. Those things that are not limited by time but that transcend time. So, then you have this idea that Jesus comes along, make some bold claims about his identity being not human but being divine, being the son of the living God and the interesting thing is that his enemies were challenged to find some proof that he was wrong about his claim. They and he said, which of you convicts me of sin?
That’s a pretty bold statement. I mean, to have no sin at all in your life. I don’t know anyone that say that but Jesus made the challenge which of you can convict me and what’s really interesting to me are some of the stories that are missed. Then Mercedes want you to think about this and I’m going to throw this over you in a minute.
Mercedes: Okay.
Lance: But one of one or two of the interesting stories that are never told sufficiently because of the we all resort to the similar narrative of the resurrection and the story is some of the historic unusual factors. Such as the fact that James the brother of Jesus. In the Bible, the Bible indicates that James was not a believer that he thought his brother, Jesus, was on a kind of like an unusual mission. And in fact, there at one point there Jesus was interrupted in his teaching and the disciples said, hey, your mother and your brethren are there. They want to talk to you and Jesus said, well, who’s my mother? Who’s my brethren? Well, he had brothers and sisters contrary to what Catholicism teaches. He had brothers at least. And he had a mother that was alive to see his ministry develop. James the Bible says was one of the people that Jesus went to in the resurrection. He appeared to certain people it says in Corinthians and among them was James. Why did he appear to James, his brother? Well, James ended up becoming the leader of the Jerusalem church. The belief is obvious, Jesus went to his family first and revealed himself to hisbrother as Messiah resurrected the dead. James becomes a believer.
Now, I’m saying all that for a reason. I remember Charles Colson making the argument. He said, if there’s anyone that has dirt on you about you may say to the public, I’ve never committed sin. No rabbi hasn’t come and accused me of doing anything. Your brother knows more about you than anybody else. The kid that grew up with you knows everything about you. James himself became a believer and he became a martyr. He became one of the martyrs in the church of Jerusalem. He was the pastor of the church and he was not a follower until after the resurrection and the Bible says in Corinthians, Jesus specifically appeared to James. That’s why it says James, because he was not numbered among the apostles that originally followed Jesus but he did follow. The other interesting family in sight regarding the divinity of Jesus is the silence of Mary because if anybody would have known the origin of Jesus’s birth. It would have been the mother.
Now, Jesus clearly believed in his messianic mission. He believed there was a narrative that born of a virgin was going to be the promise that would be fulfilled by the Messiah that he would come in in a unique way into the earth. Jesus evidently believed that God was his father and spoke as if from 12 years of age, he said, “Shall I not be about my father’s business?” This is what’s recorded the scripture regarding what we know about the historic Jesus. You would think at some point that Mary out of love for her first-born son would have pulled him aside and said, son, I know you think that you’re conceived supernaturally but I need to tell you the truth about your birth. You weren’t born supernaturally, but you’re very special and gifted young man.
At no point does Mary ever interrupt Jesus with the discussion regarding the fact that he wasn’t conceived supernaturally. And the reason is because Mary believed it and if anyone ought to know how she got pregnant, it’s the woman who gets pregnant. Don’t you think? So, the silence of Mary is used by many. These are some of the interesting arguments. Remember people go well that was so long ago, who knows? The literature we have about Jesus the eyewitnesses the stories were within the lifetime of those events, and we read about. Now here’s the interesting thing I study history, so I’m reading about the campaigns of Julius Caesar. Caesar would preceded Jesus. Nobody doubts the veracity. They may challenge Caesar’s self-flattering description of his behavior in combat but no one doubts the history of the Gala campaigns or the wars or the writings of Plutarch. In other words, there’s a history of history recording real events accurately before 30-AD when you have the events surrounding Jesus.
So, what does that tell you? It tells you that history is clearly giving you records of history verified by eyewitness accounts and recorded accurately even predating Jesus. So, Jesus comes along and after it’s fairly sophisticated in terms of history. And there’s eyewitness stories and accounts. And I’m saying that because some people put their faith in the gospel because of their experience alone their subjective experiences with the Bible and with God. But I want to say to you there’s evidence that does demand a verdict. There is an argument to be made about Jesus Christ. The fact that when he died, they could never find the body. That was probably one of those compelling arguments regarding his resurrection. The disciples were cowards. They hid for fear of the Jews but somehow, Jesus body disappeared. Nobody could figure out who took it. It wouldn’t be the Romans, it wouldn’t be the guards, it wouldn’t be the Jews, it wouldn’t be the mob, and it wasn’t his most devoted because they were disheartened and hiding by their own historic account. They were hiding for fear of their own lives when Jesus appeared to them.
So, where did the body go? That’s been the question. These are the questions that theologians and skeptics and scholars have had to deal with the historical question of Jesus. Alright, we come back Mercedes. I’m going to ask you for your thoughts and reflections on this and then we’re going to go to a live segment I did for this for a very special recording.
Break: I got to tell you the two-reoccurring kind of anxiety thoughts that I’ve had in the past which I’d be watching like Jim Baker and he’d be talking about the food crisis and making sure you got food and it came back to me over and over again. I don’t want to wait until there’s a food crisis then beat myself up and say, oh my gosh, Annabelle, what have we got? That’s when I took action with My Patriot and I made the investment. I’ll tell you it was one of the smartest things I ever did Mercedes, because I’ve got peace of mind. Then I start thinking about well let me add a little bit more food because I’ve got children, I know they’re not going to be thinking about what they’re going to do if we hit a crisis then we did. We had like the power go out weird in Texas for like a week in the middle of the winter. That’s when I realized oh man, I’ve got to look at solar,I’ve got to look at backup energy, I’ve got to look at food. I went and visited my friend Ken and he has a ranch. He has enough food and water there to take care of him and his 8 grandchildren and his 4 children and this guy takes it seriously and he’s a big, he’s a brilliant businessman. That’s what I decided.” Lancewallnau.com/Patriot”. I believe in it so much. I’m going to make sure my friends hear about it. Take action now. “Lancewallnau.com/Patriot”. You get a huge discount when you go to this site when you use our relationship there and you need to stock up. As sure as I’m dealing with the economic meltdown right now, I’m dealing with the food situation as well. Food and finance. Fundamental for your survival. Take action now. Lancewallnau.com/Patriot”. God bless you.
Lance: So, what I’m sharing right now these ideas a lot of them come from some research I was doing on Doctor D James Kennedy. He was a great Presbyterian scholar who’s one of my mentors. And he was doing a series on the evidence that demands a verdict regarding Jesus. Just using the evidence and he was referring to Doctor Simon Greenleaf who was the dean of the School of Law who had originated the Harvard School for the Laws of Evidence. Now, mind you, this is the Harvard School for the Law of Evidence regarding how do you measure evidence. Doctor Simon Greenleaf is Jewish and he decided he was going to use his skills as a Harvard master of the laws of evidence in order to dissect the weaknesses in the arguments of the resurrection for the Christian faith. He wasn’t trying to destroy the of faith. He just wanted to give it the acid bath of the laws of evidence, and so he looked at the historic data. He looked at the eyewitness accounts. He looked at the questions such as these people did exist and why were the disciples willing to die for a lie?
Normally, you may die for fanatically for a belief but these people were willing to be tortured for 30, 40 years over the belief that they had seen Jesus and how could you have maybe one hallucination but how would you have 12 at one time or 11 or over 100? 300 at one time believe they saw Jesus in his resurrection according to Paul’s writing. In other words, Doctor Simon Greenleaf looked at the silence of Mary the various other issues. And he came to the conclusion at the end of the law’s evidence that he was struggling with the evidence actually was pointing to the fact that there was a missing body that no one could ever find it’s quite likely that the claims of Jesus were true. In fact, he became a believer. So, Doctor Simon Greenleaf became a messianic follower of Christ a Jewish scholar at Harvard. That was the story was really intriguing to me and it got me looking at evidence. Evidence that does demand a verdict. Have you Mercedes heard these things before you met me or is it just in hearing me go blaring on here? I’m just wondering. Am I the first person that’s brought this stuff up?
Mercedes: I do have a degree in biblical studies just so you do know that.
Lance: I know, but these arguments are not even typical in Bible schools.
Mercedes: It’s not. It’s so great. I mean, I was going to say case for Christ is also another great resource if people are interested on the historical facts of who Jesus was, and I think it leaves you like you’re saying it demands a verdict of was he insane? Was he who he claimed to be? Or was he lying? I mean that’s essentially the 3 options that you have and so as we go into this Easter Sunday, I think it’s important to be thinking about those things and who he is to you. Because he says that to his disciples who do you say that I am? And some say some you’re Elijah. Some say, you’re the great prophet. And then Peter says you are the Christ the son of the living God and he goes, bless are of you Peter whereas my father in heaven who’s revealed this to you. So, I think as this Sunday it’s important for people to think about that.
I also wanted to say which is I think this this when I was reading the crucifixion story recently, it really stood out to me that there’s two events that really bookend the life of Christ and they both involve his mother. So, really the first recorded miracle is him turning water to one at the behest of his mother at a wedding feast. And then at the crucifixion his last act before he says it is finished is that he sees John and John records it as the disciple whom Jesus loves standing by and he sees his mother. And he turns to John and says, turns to his mother and says woman behold your son and then he turns to his disciple and says, “Behold your mother”. And then John says and from that hour on that disciple took her to his home so the two events that bookend his entire life is really serving his mother. I thought it was beautiful. I didn’t realize it till recently but I was like, wow, that’s amazing.
Lance: Spoken like a true mother. My mother would always say to me, son, you can always judge a man by whether he loves his mother. She’s very mother focused. It’s like, mommy could be a serial killer but does he love his mother? There’s some good in him.
Mercedes: I just thought it was unique.
Lance: Somebody a bad influence. One of my brothers was in trouble in high school and I can remember my mother saying, he fell into the wrong crowd and the older brother leaned over to me and said, actually, our brother was the wrong crowd. My mother could never see it. I want to go into Israel right now. I got something special for you. I went to Israel literally in Israel and wanted to record this for you and remember this when Jesus says something about the last days. He was accurate in predicting the future and as a prophet, he believed he was going to be resurrected. He said, “On the third day, I will rise again”. And he made that statement so clearly that the Jews made sure there was a Roman, a guard at the tomb lest somehow there should be a fulfillment of that prediction he made that he would rise from the dead.
So, even they when they killed him, they were nervous about what he said about, he did say he died but he come back to life. So, the Romans themselves were guarding the tomb. But Jesus said, when these end time events happen look up and lift up your heads because your redemption draws nigh. So, he was he didn’t he didn’t give us a pollyannish look at the last days which is encouraging. He said, look, when these things happen remember I told you, see if he was to say to you like unfortunately a false prophet says, don’t worry about it, it’s going to get. Great best day, happy days are going to be here again. You watch. Well, the happy days don’t come things get worse. Then you got a question about that prophet. But Jesus said, “Look, it’s not going to get better. It’s going to get worse and worse. It’s going to get dark and darker but upon you, it’s going to get my presence and my light is going to get stronger”.
When these things start to happen, shift your attention from what’s going on the Earth to what is going on in the heavens because I am returning. That same Jesus whose body they could not find is coming back. That same body is coming back and when he comes back, he’s coming back. He told them for redemption. He’s going to bring the other bookend history and history will be wrapped up and there’ll be an end to the moral education of the universe and the beginning of a new age begins. This is what the Bible teaches. It is a rather fascinating way of looking at it. I look forward to sharing with you now from Jerusalem.
Voice: Well, I’m so glad to be able to be with you here in Jerusalem during the Passover during those holy days leading up to Easter. And it’s always such a surreal experience to be actually in the place where history unfolded was behind me here is change the architecture a little bit. It’s what has been behind this position for 2000 years. Jesus walked in this place, the apostles, the apostolic move came from Jerusalem and history seems to be in its own strange way meandering back towards the Middle East. When I’m in Jerusalem here reading the news from a different perspective about Saudi Arabia breaking away from the United States largely because they disagree with Biden. I think that in the United States we ought to get to be very clear. What’s happening with Ukraine and Russia is not an issue of borders in Russia. It’s a civil war of cultures. The western decadent depraved culture is now meeting the rest of the world and nations rich with history and with religious tradition do not embrace the wokeism of the United States. They give a lip service tolerance, because we’ve been such a military and economic power. But there is a rapid descent happening.
You could say it is a form of judgement you might look at it this way on America. Not coming from God, but it’s the self judgement of bad leadership producing bad results. Why would I talk about that in Jerusalem? Because Jerusalem is the eventual according to the Bible capital of the earth where the messianic kingdom is established. It’s the convergence of the great traditions from Judaism to Christianity to Islam. Right here is the epicenter of where politics and culture and history and religion all collide and that’s why the Bible unfolds with the coming antichrist and the Battle of Armageddon all within the geography that I’m in right now. But the greatest story is the one that touches you and that is what happened here 2000 years ago in a garden. Man fell according to Genesis in a garden. And when the Messiah came, he had to agonize in a garden where I’m going to be going later on today. And alone in that garden he wrestled again as Adam should have wrestled with evil in the garden and defeated it.
Jesus had to come as the second Adam and embrace the fallen nature of man, the dominion of darkness and he sweat blood the Bible says according to Luke’s gospel as he laid prostrate in the early morning hours of the leading up to his crucifixion. And he sweat blood because there was a cup that was presented to him and it was the cup of the father’s will. It was the cup of substitutionary living. He would live as our substitute. He would die as our substitute and most people really miss this. They think Christianity is a religion. It’s not a religion. Christianity is a transaction between God and man where God sent a man to die for mankind. Jesus died for you. He died for me so that we would have an alternative narrative at end of our life instead of us being held accountable for the sins and for the deeds that we have done. Our record could be exchanged with the spotless perfect record of Christ and Christ would be our substitute. If we would only acknowledge, it if we would only receive it. That’s kind of a phenomenal statement.
It’s an amazing statement if you will regarding the generosity of God. There’s a story that’s told in Chinese history about a brother who had twin brothers. One brother had committed a crime and when the police the innocent brother saw that they were going to arrest his brother and he took the jacket that had the blood spattering on it and they put it on himself. So, he was taken off and he was tried and executed his guilty brother lacking the courage to come, forward just allowed it to take place and allowed that deception if you will the court however having murdered the innocent brother acquitted the guilty brother because the crime was paid for. That’s offer that Jesus gives. 2000 years ago, in an empty tomb is a testament. They could not find the body.
Think of this. The Romans couldn’t find it. The Jews couldn’t find it. The Christians at that time, the early apostles were too cowardly to look for it. To this day, that body has never been located. It would have ended the movement if they had only had that body, that corpse that they could’ve produced but they couldn’t produce that evidence. Well, that body is coming back. The Bible says that the Mount of Olives’ location once again right behind me. Jesus will return. All history is about to be wrapped up. The Middle East is where it started. The Middle East is where it ended. It’s the tale of two gardens. It’s the Garden of Eden. It’s the Garden of Gethsemane and then a garden tomb is where it wraps up where Jesus comes out on the 3rd day and he says that you can experience that. You don’t even have to go to Jerusalem to experience Jerusalem coming to you but the ultimate hope is because Christ was risen from the dead. There’s nothing that hell can throw at you that can keep you down, because you have something in you that triumphs over the worst that hell can do. You still have a victory. That’s the hope that comes from Jesus in Jerusalem and I give it to you. Shalom, shalom. I’ll talk to you again. God bless.
Lance: There’s something about being actually in Israel and doing those little vignettes from the land. I always love to do that and I love to share them with you. Look forward to seeing you again in our next broadcast.
